Cleared fallen tree from lawn. Cut it up and threw in the woods behind the house. Did postpone few times but got the job done within 1 week of purchasing the deal.

see above and again: they climbed 15+ 100+ foot tall oaks. trimmed them out for dead wood and dangerous limbs over the structures; they repaired work done previously done on a 100+ foot spruce; they cleaned up and removed all the dead wood from the trees as well as several dead trees they cut down and turned to firewood sized pieces which they stacked; they were punctual, polite and knowledgeable; they came 2 days after I called. I am a happy customer and would recommend them to all.

They were responsive and he was very nice. They came out to look at other trees and give me an estimate. I got other estimates and decided to go with someone else who was a better fit.

I am very disappointed. This has been a hassle for nothing. I left them 2 messages to get the service scheduled and they have never called back. I have a requested a refund for the Big Deal purchase.

I had to call the emergency/after hours number in order to reach someone. I was told there were issues with the calling service so please be patient, he will get back with you. They came and assessed what I needed done. I was told that it will be $300 to grind the two tree stumps however they did complete the work within the $99 for $250 worth of services. I am pleased with the work. I now have to figure out what to do with all of this sawdust thats in my backyard.

Let me start out in saying that I am a person of my word and expect the same in doing business. I contacted this tree service for a removal of tree and stump from my property. They came out the same day (which was good) and I was told that they could perform this the same day. I was impressed with this timeline. Sure enough, they came out and the tree was gone. But upon the paying for the services, I wanted to pay with a check and asked for an invoice, but was asked to pay with cash and would get the invoice emailed to me ( I should have known better). But I state again, I was impressed with the timeline. I was told the job was $350. So they asked for $300 that day, and that I would pay the rest upon getting the stump by the end of the week. The end of the week came and went. I have made numerous calls to find out when the job will be completed ( Note: I have made). I was told over and over again that by the weeks end or when the equipment gets fixed...But to no avail...In Mar ...I received a violation from my HOA about the stump left in my front yard. I called and told the Tree Service of this new development and was assured that this will be taken care of ( Note: I called). I was told by weeks end AGAIN. As of today 3/12/2015, I still have not heard from them at all. I guess they received most of the money except $50 so why would it matter to them. I would not recommend this service to anyone. The lack of follow-up is not good customer service. They asked me to review their company and I told them that I would. So I am doing so, because as I stated I am a person of my word. But lesson learned. Thanks ADDITIONAL COMMENTS ADDED: A Family tree service, upon reading my review, reached out to help gain my satisfaction with their company. We discussed the issues that were stated above. I had to hire another service to remove the stump from my yard which cost me extra monies. They apologized for the inconvenience and covered part of the monies spent with the other company that had finished their work. I think this was only fair and I thanked them for trying to straightening this ordeal out. Thank You

Mr. McCartney & his team worked skillfully & quickly to tackle the challenges of some very tall & large tree branches hanging over the house. His ability to analyze the safest and most effective ways to accomplish what he needed to do, showed his experience and agility. We were in awe watching him work in tandem with his men. We really appreciated their professionalism.

First off, I got some estimates (3) from Tree service places that left business cards on my mailbox over the last couple months. (I guess they saw my trees needed some trimming.)Then (as always) went to my Angie's List account and searched Tree Service companies in my area to do the work needed. I made an appointment with Martin from " A Family Tree Service" and Charlie came with a crew of 2 guys to give an estimate that afternoon. The estimate given was much lower than the others so I gave them the OK to go ahead with the work. I was very satisfied with the work they did and will use them in the future. They did excellent work and cleaned up the work area.

I met with the agent on a Saturday, I believe, and told him what I wanted done to the three trees. I was very explicit that I didn't want any branches extending over my driveway. The following week, they came while we were at lunch, without calling or letting us know they were coming. They did some trimming, but ignored my directions. They finally returned my phone call and explained that, in their judgment, the trees should not be trimmed that severely.

I got $99 worth of service as opposed to the $250 dollars worth of service the Big Deal covered. Additionally I dont believe they were equipped for the job.

I waited several days to hear from someone. When I didn't hear from anyone, I called and left a message. I still have not heard from anyone. I have asked Angie's List for my money back.

They were courteous, and we discussed all tree services that were needed, but I only wanted to do the $250 worth today. I think I got $99 worth-- they trimmed one long hedge along our driveway that hung out, and did a nice job of cleaning up and blowing off. They were unable to trim the top, too high. If they had gone the extra mile, and taken off a very easy long, low branch sticking out toward the house, I would have been thrilled and tipped $20. It would've made the service worth $200 to me, even though it was a small, easy thing. But instead, I'm a little disappointed- I didn't feel it was $250 worth. It was nice to get the hedge trimmed, and I am sure THEY are disappointed I didn't want to do more today (they brought 3 guys). But that was why I took a deal, it was what I had to spend right now!

They have not followed up with me multiple times after two weeks of trying to get the work started.

Company was very responsive in the beginning. Three men in a old pickup truck arrived on time. The cutting down of the tree went fine. However, they did not have a truck to haul away the debris, so they had to stack everything in my front yard until the next day. And I was told that the truck that hauls the stump grinder was in the shop so that would have to wait. I was promised that they would be back the following week to grind the stump. After about 5 phone calls and 2.5 weeks later I finally gave up and called someone else. The other company came out the next day and took care of it for me. Luckily I only paid for them to cut the tree down and not to grind the stump. Response to your reply: No one ever answered one of the numbers on your card (678-334-8503). I also called the other number on your card (404-333-TREE) and actually spoke to someone several times. He said he was your partner.

I spoke with Charlie at family tree service. The appointment was scheduled for 9 this morning. At 8:15 am, they called to say they were on another job and would have to come later. We pushed it back to 12. They even said they would give me a call 45 min. before they come. I never heard back. I get a call 20 min. ago & said they were at my house. Luckily, I was only 5 min. down the road. I came home a gentleman named Felix has a truck, chain saw, rope, chains & a crew. He said they didn't have the right equipment. He called office & they said to start on it & stack the wood in my yard. I said that was not acceptable. He said they would come back tomorrow & take the wood away. I wasn't sure they would actually come back to get it. They said I was being difficult. I am getting a refund, but am very disappointed with the company that received so many positive reviews.

Great! He was very responsive, very quick and easy to work with; I went to work this morning and when I came home at the end of the day, the work was done! And the yard wasn't left a mess, either. Very happy.

Trimming of tall tree close to house. The crew showed up as scheduled, was polite and professional, careful during the trimming process as not to damage the house. The work was surgical, as a matter of fact. Good cleanup job also. All for a fair price!

A Family tree service and his crew are simply the most knowledgeable, experienced and professional tree care service providers in the area. Charlie and his crew did an amazing job with our trees. From scheduling the estimate to finishing the job, Charlie was easy to work with, honest, up front and professional . They cleaned the area to the point where you couldn't even notice they where even there. I got estimates from 3 tree services and A Family Tree Service was the only one that was on time, listened to what I wanted, and the only one to point out that our Chinese Elm had a fungus/disease. They were also just as competitive as those that showed up late but Charlie seemed much more knowledgeable about the trees and took the time to listen and explain what he needed to do. They showed up on time the day of the trimming with a team of guys and trucks.
