Double N Services

I have a 4400 square foot home. Double N Service cleaned my carpets and restored them like new. We were going to let them clean the upstair level only, but when we saw the results of their work,we gladly paid for them to complete the main level also. We were so amazed at the result that we had paid for new carpet for the main level from another company, but we decided to use the new carpet in the basement. It saved us money by not having to replace the mail level carpet. I will definitly use Double N Services again and I will refer them to my friends. I don't normally do reviews, but I was so amazed by this company's service. Our carpets were in reallly bad shape. We bought a forclosure that was not taken care of at all. We thought that we were going to replace all of the carpet in the house, but it was retored like new. Thanks Double N Service and Norman the carpet tech who preformed the service. Regards, David

the technician arrived right on time and and after looking at the sofas, gave me an estimate based on the sectional counting as 2 sofas (he didn't charge me for the chaise lounge piece of it) and said he would also have to charge a little extra for the pillows on the other sofa. We agreed on the price (basically $99 per sofa for 3 sofas and extra for the pillows). He went right to work and was through in less than an hour and a half and, even though he had to do some extra cleaning because of the pet hair and dirt, both pieces of furniture came out great. They both look new and I was very pleased. I would definitely use them again.

They did an excellent job. I think they were very professional. They came at the time that they indicated they would be there. I am very pleased with their work.

I e-mailed the company and told them the dates I would be available - they set up an appt. for one of those times. The technician called me about 40 mins. ahead of time and showed up on time. When I showed him the rooms I wanted cleaned (2 area rugs in my family room, master bedroom and upstairs hallway) he said that the coupon did not cover area rugs. I was surprised because my coupon said nothing about that. When I showed him the coupon and he could not see that either, he called the owner and got permission to treat the 2 area rugs as one room. He promptly cleaned all 3 rooms - took about an hour and he did a great job. He was very polite and professional. This could have been an unpleasant experience that was handled very well by the company.

I discovered the listing for this company on Angie's list and decided to engage them on the merits of the recommendations which I read. My plan is to first assess the result of the cleaning before electing a possible new sofa purchase. The work was quite well done and I think I will now decide to keep the sofa and reupholster the pillows. This has been a real winner for me. The service providers were affable and engaging but also very professional. They were indeed about their business.

He had a rush attitude. Since he has a lot of customers he didn't care about pleasing the next customer. He gave the big deal price but said cleaning the stairs was extra. I decided to get a refund and not work with the company.

They were on-time, very professional and honored the estimate. They performed very good work and I will definitely use them in the future. Our contact arrived with 2 other workers so they did not take a very long time.

I think the cost was reasonable for the number of rooms and hallway. The service was good and the carpets were cleaned. There were no problems. I wasn't home the day they came out to clean but my parents said the technicians were friendly. They were prompt and professional.

Overall it was a good experience/transaction. My home smells brand new from the fresh carpet smell. And he arrived on time and was very professional.

Norman and his teammate arrive on time, and with a great demeanor. They even parked on one side of the driveway, instead of right in the center (a pet peeve of mine) without being asked. My wife and I have just purchased a new house, and three of our bedroom carpets required some minor stretching. They took care of this in just over an hour, cleaned up perfectly and left. Norman was a friendly guy, and it was nice conversing with him. I am looking to use them again for some carpet cleaning in the future.

I used Angie's List to vet several carpet cleaning companies. I called Double N and 2 other companies for quotes. The company's owner, Norman, arrived exactly at the time that he said he would. He was very friendly and professional. He quickly evaluated all of the areas where I needed the carpet cleaned (almost the whole house). I asked several questions about his business experience, how he would clean the carpet (method and chemicals), and Norman answered every question very well. His quote was very competitive. So I scheduled service, but 2 days before the service I had to call and reschedule due to my own circumstances. Norman re-scheduled my service without complaint or hesitation. His technician arrived on time, and was very professional. He steam cleaned and also applied Scotchgard protectant. He worked very quickly, and also left his phone number just in case we had any future questions. I would use this company again.

I've used this company in 2012 and was very happy with them. Apparently using the coupon affects the quality. My original visit was performed by the owner and two other people. This visit was one person. The original visit was very accommodating. There were more restrictions using the coupon: rugs cannot be combined with carpets; furniture leg protection (little plastic squares) were not used; and the carpet was left wetter than before. Arrival was not as scheduled, because there was an accident that held him up (???) The equipment used was just the regular steam hose, while on the first visit the equipment also included a vacuum and rotary scrubber and boasted "green" cleaning, which I am not sure I got this time. The carpet was clean -- end result --, but I think any average company could have done the same. I was expecting the outstanding, excellent results I previously received, even if it cost a little more. I am not sure if my experience was affected by "Big Deal" restrictions or if the company's service is uneven.

After several phone calls to confirm the date and time an appointment was secured. Two men arrived to do the job. I showed them the Angie's coupon for the 3 rooms. We walked through the house and I showed them the three areas. The one room - the family room - has four steps that are carpeted and are part of the family room. They told me that any stairs/steps are extra and I would have to pay for them as well - even though they are part of the room. They cleaned the carpets and I paid the additional amount for the stairs. They said this was in the fine print of the Angie's ad for them.

A very short time after I completed the Angie's list deal purchase, a Double N representative surprisingly contacted ME to schedule an appointment. We made an appointment for 10am in the middle of the next week to allow time for us to "clear the clutter". My wife and I (both over 60 years old) spent 2 1/2 hours the evening before the appointment moving furniture to vacuum and de-clutter in the three rooms we wished to have the carpet cleaned. The day of the appointment the technician called twice to postpone till later in the day, finally arriving at 3:00pm. At each call he informed us that he was "running late" but in conversation when he (alone) arrived, he revealed that his truck was being repaired. He had no indication we had an Angie's list deal and spent about 30 minutes discussing this with us and his office. After I dug my printer out of the "pile of junk" caused by de-cluttering, I printed the coupon and the technician spent a total of 45 minutes on all 5 areas, charging a $100 additional for the extra room and stairs . He declined (politely but firmly) to move any of the furniture remaining in the rooms in order to clean under them. (a king size and a queen size bed, a dresser and chest of drawers that my wife and I had moved the night before to vacuum under). Unbelievably, he didn't even move a very light chair and ottoman in one of the rooms either. What the technician touched was cleaned satisfactorily but I have had carpet cleaning performed where the furniture was moved to clean under it. I expected it but was not inclined to insist that a single technician do it all. I expected and was informed that the additional work over and above the "deal" would be for an additional cost but feel that the extra work was overpriced to make up for the "deal".

Nice guys, professional, final price was within estimate.

The job was to clean the carpeting in one large room for $49. Material is a medium-light tan Berber. The technician arrived timely. After a brief inspection of the carpeting, he recommended "deep cleaning" for $20 more than the offer. Although the $69 price was not especially a bargain compared to most vendors for one room, I agreed, hoping for an excellent outcome. When the job was done, I looked it over and found that there were shadowy differences in the coloring of the carpeting, especially in the higher traffic areas that I was most interested in seeing complete cleaning. The technician said it was due to wear. At first, I suggested he re-do the traffic area, but decided to skip it, in hopes that the carpeting would be OK when completely dry. There was no improvement when the carpet was dry. In my opinion, this was a routine cleaning job with fair results, no special price, no especially good outcome. If I could do it over, I would call any cleaner with a reasonable-looking website, and feel certain the results would be at least as good.

Very pleased. Our carpet was disgusting and we were planning on replacement, but I figured it was worth a shot to get a few more years out of it. The technician pointed out the problem spots and pretreated everything. Did they come 100% clean? No. But I got exactly what I expected. The carpets look 80% better and we think we can live with them for a few years now. I'll be hiring Double N in the future.

The Double N crew did a very good job and got stains out that I didn't think they would get out completely. For tough areas they paid close attention to those and got them clean. Would definitely use them again.

I found Norman and his company through Angie's List. He responded quickly to my email and then when we talked and arranged for cleaning my carpets in between my relocation and taking ownership of a new home, he was flexible and open to working within my requested dates and times (I was working with other services as well--painting, then cleaning, then carpets, then me moving in.) He was so nice about it all and then when we confirmed the date and time, he told me to pay AFTER I received and approved the service. A week or two later, I was in my former state packing and moving and completely forgot about our arrangement. And lo and behold, one of Norman's employees called me to confirm how many rooms and which to clean. He was already at the house on the agreed upon time and then when I got back to Atlanta 10 hours later, I went to my new house and found all the carpets clean. My friend who was there painting was equally impressed. As a result, I've already hired Norman and DNS to clean my area rugs.

The crew was timely and diligent and reasonably priced. My berber carpets were not in great shape & I was buying time before I replace with hardwoods later in 2013. There were light stains & obvious darker coloring in many places. The team used a chemical/dry process to clean them and a sofa. The carpet and sofa were fresh smelling, bright and no visible stains when the guys were done. After some period of time (can't quantify but it was at least several weeks) the discoloration came back, i'm not talking new stains but brightness wore off revealing previous stains and discoloring. I've normally done the carpet cleaning by renting a machine, but have never been completely satisfied with the outcome, this service was definitely better than that. I will be trying out a steam clean/water type service next. I hope I have better results.
