Description of Work: This company does a really good job providing annual checks on your HVAC systems. Very reasonable at $89 a year or something. but when they go to giving estimates for a repair or install of a full system, they might as well be holding a gun on you. My Mom needed a new Heat and AC system installed. Their quote was $5650 -----I asked to keep it as low as possible as she is in her 80's and lives off only a SS check. Well, that was the best they could do----------------I got another estimate and a company in the Atlanta area installed the whole house HVAC system and cleaned up and hauled off old equipment for a total cost of $3300!!!!

Description of Work: We have a contract with Assured Comfort and they come about every 6 mos. and check my heating and air cond. systems and also replace filters. With a contract I get preferred service , which is great both winter and summer. Their last work here was due to my home being struck by lightning. We had a thunderstorm about 1:30 am and the thunder and lightning was the loudest I've ever heard. I immediately looked to see what the lightning had struck. Turns out it was the thermostat and heating system. As soon as it was daylight, I called their office and someone was here in just a few minutes. He checked all heating and air cond. systems, as I have a heat pump in an apartment that we used for my Mother. Everything checked out ok except my heating system. He told me this and said they would be back first thing in the next morning to replace the entire heating system. It was completely destroyed by the storm. We also had to have a new thermostat, computer and four TV's. They started the job by one of their employees taking apart the old system. Then another truck arrived with several employees and around lunch time they were finished. One man came inside and installed the new thermostat and the new system was working fine. They were finished and cleaned up and took the old non working parts with them leaving nothing behind for me to do. I love their service and I love all their technicians. All are very knowledgeable and will explain everything that needs to be done. We have been customers of Assured Comfort for several years and will call them when I need them. I have all the confidence in the world in their work and the attitudes of their technicians. As a matter of fact, during this time my son had a problem with his home not getting cool. He called Assured Comfort and the technician told him he needed another unit to help get the air upstairs and Assured Comfort did this work for him the following day. He is completely satisfied with their work too. I can't say enough about how nice and how professional they are.

Description of Work: This was a regular fall servicing call. We have used AC for a few years |now. The installed a new AC unit about a year ago. We have been very |satisfied with their service and professionalism.

Description of Work: Assured Comfort removed two air handles, duct work and two outside air compressors. They installed one new zoned larger system with separate controls for upstairs; they installed a mini-split system for the sunroom. The technicians worked hard to get the work done; they explained each step and made adjustments where necessary.

Description of Work: OK..let me tell you first off, i'm an old school tech person...I have fixed hugh main frame computers back in the 70"s and have fixed major stuff for years including gas furnaces. Now to be blunt with you..a gas furnace..not that hard to repair. I called Assured Comfort.... told them what i needed to be replaced..the control board on the furnace. They of course said..well we have to send our techs to make sure thats right. ..OK I'm fine with that. But then i even gave her the part number to replace the board and asked how much will it cost to replace it..to get a price she had to go back to the manger or techs. She came back with a price of $660 Pretty much i told her you really have to be kidding...i can get the part for $180...to that she replied...My manager will call you back with a better price..which of course he never did. I don't care about companies making a profit..but give me a break. If you know nothing about a furnace or AC system..well i guess your just going to say yes, to there price..if you have a clue..it's a joke. To replace a $180 part...which takes all of 15 min..then to charge $660....guess i should open up my own shop,
