Description of Work: Removed 2 trees and pruned a large oak tree. Office staff great, but it appears to have been too much miscommunications with the staff on the ground. For instance, during the estimate, I was told that the oak tree needed major pruning, but when I got home only a few limbs had been removed from the tree. In fact the pruning cost twice as much as have the 2 large trees removed. After the trees were removed, I had to wait another week or so because the stump grinder needed to have utility clearance, which could have been requested in advance by the company. The miscommunications resulted in a very uncomfortable dialogue between the person who directed the work and myself. Rescheduling had to be coordinated which made this effort extremely long and not as efficient as it should have been, putting me several weeks behind on my landscaping projects.

I can't speak highly enough of this company. They are the Swat Squad or Red Adair of trees. We went from a situation where the tree could have taken lives or at the very least hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of house damage (to three houses!) to a situation where the risk was minimized and, eventually, the tree brought down. Yes, the "sticker shock" of the quote was there, but after watching these guys take down this tree over a five day period with a four to five man crew, I saw where every penny went. They went above and beyond literally, if you would have seen them 130 feet up in that tree. There was no damage done to our yard or property, clean up was outstanding, and the crew was friendly, professional and helpful. In addition, at all times at least three members of the crew were certified arborists. Even my "regular" tree service wouldn't touch this tree, and Scott and his team just got to work. Highly, highly recommend them.
Description of Work: We had a 135 foot red oak split down the trunk, a MAJOR event. Two tree companies wouldn't touch it, saying it was about to fall. Had it done so, it would have destroyed (no exaggeration) our neighbor's house and taken the back half of ours. Scott from North American came out and despite it being in a dangerous state, immediately called in senior crew members from other jobs. It took a day and a half to stabilize the tree to make it safe for cutting down, at one point there was $15,000 worth of rope, chain, pulley's and high-tension cable in that tree.

THE ESTIMATE WAS EXTREMELY HIGH. THEY OFFERED TO REDO IT. THE NEW ESTIMATE WAS ONLY SLIGHTLY LOWER, BUT THEY HAD NUMEROUS CONDITIONS THAT WERE OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO MEET BEFORE GIVING US THE NEW PRICE.
