I will say this is the worse review I have ever had since I have been in business since May 1979, I am Ben Hawkins the Owner/President of Sterling Paint & Construction Services. We did have real bad weather during this job, when we started this job the weather was good, as we progressed, it started snowing, Ice on trees & roads, weather below freezing for days, then rain for several days, we did not work on this home for several periods during this weather, the Customer ordered a new door unit, we had to wait several days to put it in so the weather would not affect the interior of his home. which was several days late for both the homeowners and our schedule. After the prep work begun on the home, we noticed several pieces of wood that needed replacing, the Dormers on the Home was the worst, (3) Windows were in need of replacement on each of the Dormers on the front of the home. we did replace all the siding and some other trim on the Dormers, by the authorizing of , We also gave them a price of the (3) Three Windows that needed replacing, the homeowner thought the price was too high and elected not to replace the windows, he asked if we could cover up the rotten wood, patch over it and paint it, which we did at no cost to the homeowner, because we do not warrant painting over rotten wood. On the Days the weather was clear I did send extra Painters over to home to do the work, because it was getting behind, we did not paint anytime below the recommended temperture of the Painting Products we used which was Sherwin Williams. We warrant our Painting work for 5 Years and this includes this homeowner also. I Ben Hawkins and my Wife Sandra met with the homeowners both and his wife on a Saturday to address some of his concerns about the work on his home, There was some problems with the work, I will admit, so this is the reason I got involved, he asked about the paint, we brushed the paint on several places, the homeowner thought needed to be applyed with a spray gun, So I told the Homeowner we would apply another coat to the area's he was concerned about, we sprayed another coat of paint at NO Charge in these area's. I came by the job several times to make sure that the job was being done correctely and to the homeowners satifaction. One Day I stayed there 6 hours plus. Yes there was some problems with the pricing, I Ben Hawkins did not sell this job, another sales person did, but his father died and I had to take over with this homeowner, but we did get everthing settled, I thought he was happy with the final out come. Yes I did give the homeowner a Lien Waiver on his work, several people, ask for this and we give them one with no problem. The biggest problem with this job was the weather, prevoius homeowners work, with paint on items we saw before we even started painting, the Sales person not being there because the death for his father, Plus I broke my arm and I was not doing the best I could do with one arm. but I did run my business the best I could for several weeks. At the end We thought , the Homeowners, the Foreman of the job, the workers & myself thought everything was completed and the job turned out fine. The Homeowner came by my office to pay the remaining balance of what they owed, he was in good sprits, had no problems with me, the work, hugged my wife Sandra, as he left. I think if the Angie's List Homeowners will look at our past records, that they will see other homeowner are very satisified with our work, sure we all make mistakes, But we do correct them as fast as possible, to the customers satifaction.
