I was looking for a complete exterior paint service for my home. Response was prompt supplying a detailed written estimate. Pricing was fair. The job was performed when promised and the duration was as promised a bit faster actually. Insurance documents were provided in a timely fashion. The work performed was professional and thorough. Overall a very good experience. I would recommend Ben and his crew to all looking for a trouble free quality experience.

Ben Hawkins was very flexible in responding to our requirements. Ben was very thorough in evaluating the sheetrock issues and offered multiple options for the addressing these issues. The pricing for the various targeted areas to be painted were broken out on the presented quote. Again, providing us the flexibility to assume the responsibility for painting some areas ourselves, if we so desired. Due to our open first floor plan, paint color selection was critical to ensure compatibility with the colors in the adjoining kitchen area and the staircase leading to the upstairs space. Sandra Hawkins provided invaluable assistance in the color selection and defining the breakpoints for the new colors to meet with the existing colors. Based on the defined scope of work, the final quote was very reasonable and the decision was made to engage Sterling Paint & Construction Services for the entire job. The Sterling Paint & Construction Services team was excellent. They arrived every day at the agreed time. Every reasonable effort was made to ensure the daily work area was kept clean and sheetrock dust was confined to the immediate workspace. Both the work area and the staging area in the garage area were cleaned up every evening before the team left for the day. The work was satisfactorily completed within the forecasted timeline. Some minor cleanup items were identified after completion of the work. These items were immediately addressed to a satisfactory resolution. We are extremely satisfied with the final product and the overall experience working with Sterling Paint & Construction Services. Our expectations were exceeded. We plan on engaging Sterling Paint & Construction Services for future repair and painting needs. We highly recommend Sterling Paint & Construction Services.

This is the best experience I have had with a contractor. When he initially came to the house to do the estimate, Ben thoroughly explained what I could expect, and the initial estimate he provided is the most detailed I have ever received, which I greatly appreciated, and he does provide warranties for his work. He checks with the customer before proceeding with any repairs, etc.,which may be needed and which they discover during the prepping process but which are not included in that estimate. He's very up front about things, and I never had the feeling that he was trying to do something underhanded. He's very responsive to customers and was kind enough to find a welder to repair some wrought iron trim which had been broken for some years-today, you can't tell that it was ever broken. His crew was very personable and polite but worked very hard and cleaned up after themselves. They did an incredible job, matched the old paint on my house beautifully, and my house looks wonderful! I would never hesitate to use him again for any services which his company performs as I know that I'll receive quality work at a fair price. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Sterling provided a couple of different estimates, one for painting the windows and another without (the windows are covered with storm windows). After we agreed to have them do the painting, they started the work within a week. While trying to remove the storm windows, they discovered that they were esentially glued to the window frames with silicone. They still painted the windows by raising and lowering the storm window window panes. The also knocked some off of the price because they were unable to clean the inside of the storm windows and the regular windows. The house looks great, and we are very pleased with the service we received from Sterling.

Mr. Ben Hawkins and his crew did an outstanding job on all of the services performed. Mr. Hawkins came to my home shortly after I called him, and sent me a detailed estimate later that same day. His crew arrived early on the assigned day. They were very thorough and efficient, taking much less time to perform the services than I'd expected. They were also very professional and friendly. The crew took great care in thoroughly preparing the walls before painting, did an excellent paint job and re-placed the furniture. They also did a good job replacing a panel of my screen porch ceiling. One of the crew was designated the manager, and he was on-site the entire time. Mr. Hawkins also checked with me to ensure that I was pleased with their work. Mr. Hawkins did not require any up-front payment, as he first wanted to ensure that I was pleased with his work. I highly recommend Sterling Painting & Construction Services!

Ben was very responsive and returned phone calls promptly. He provided several different options for repair of rotted wood and then replacing some trim which wasn't actually weathered but would probably deteriorate in the near future. I through his quote for the prep, paint, and complete gutter replacement was very competitive and attractive. The paint and gutter crews worked hard and continuously. I was impressed with the quality and detail of the prep of the house. They scraped, sanded, and caulked for at least two days. I had some rust from a chimney topper on the stucco and they renovated the topper and sealed and painted the stucco. My house look brand new again. Ben does not ask for any funds up front and he wants the customer to be completely satisfied before payment is expected. At payment time, I asked for a Lein Waiver Form and he was happy to provide one. I would be happy to recommend this company for future work without reservation.

They were considerate, clean, and did a pretty good job however, I do not consider using them.

Ben Hawkins (owner) provided a thorough detailed estimate itemizing all the possible options. This allowed me to configure exactly the options I wanted and still stay within my budget. The work crew showed up exactly on time every day. They were very patient with me when I changed my mind about a color after they had painted the wall once. Or twice. No more than five times I'm sure. :-) I was impressed with the care and detail put into the work. Jeff, the foreman, is a skilled craftsmen in pursuit of perfection. The entire crew values precision and wanted to make sure the job was done right. After one of the bathrooms was finished (and looked great) I noticed it was being sanded and repainted. I asked Jeff about it. He explained that the original painter a few years ago had used the wrong kind of paint (oil or latex or something) and that if he just painted over it now without sanding, I would have peeling in a few years. Even though Jeff/Sterling had not made any error he wanted it painted the RIGHT way. I said "wow thanks Jeff - I would have never known". His response? "But I would have." The first and second start dates slipped a couple of weeks due to a period where there was a lot of rain. Once the work started it went quickly and was done very nicely and finished in time for a party we had planned. We are very satisfied with the work and the cost was to the dollar of the estimate. The old deck and materials were taken down and carted away. The new material showed up earlier than expected, but as soon as we let Ben Hawkins know he had a crew there the next morning. The crew showed up promptly at 8:30AM, let us know they were then and went to work. From start to finish it took a week. Everything was cleaned up at the end.

This is the best painting crew I have ever dealt with. Ben, the owner, is a very hands on project manager, and his crew is outstanding. Our house is sided entirely in hardy plank shingles, so the job required significant attention to detail in order to ensure that the coverage was adequate. They also painted all the trim, which was significant, as we have many windows with transoms, and the exterior doors and shutters. I could not be happier with the results. These folks are completely professional from start to finish. They showed up when they were supposed to and cleaned up extremely well when the job was finished. Also, I felt that the price was extremely fair. Ben requires no money up front because he wants to make sure that you are satisfied before any money exchanges hands. You absolutely cannot go wrong with Sterling. I would highly recommend them to anyone. They do interior painting also, and based upon our experience with them on the exterior of our house, we wouldn't hesitate to use them for interior work as well.

They arrived on time and were professional and cleaned up everyday before they left. The workers were polite and willing to answer any questions I had and asked when they were unsure of what I wanted. They even helped me bring down a futon to put in my car when we were loading my daughters college stuff to move her into her dorm, I did not even ask! They also volunteered to hang a shutter that had blown off the front of my house at no charge! We plan on having the exterior of our house painted in the spring and Sterling Paint and Construction will be the first call I make!

I took bids from 3 companies for the painting of 2 rooms to include dry wall repair and installation of wood molding. Sterling Paint submitted a reasonable bid and completed the job with perfection. The crew was efficient, professional, and cleaned up the work area. They did not leave until I was satisfied with the result. I will definitely call Sterling for my future painting needs.

They did the work in a very efficient, proffesional manner during record setting heat over 100 degrees. Showed up early, worked hard all day and cleaned up and hauled off all debrie every day. The men were very pleasant to work with and went above and beyond my expections.

A Fabulous experience. the quote was good and fair. the professionals showed up on time. The quality of the work was great. I have no complaints on this experience. Everyone was polite and professional.

I called Ben to get some woodwork replaced around some windows on my house. The workmen were on time, very professional and knew what they were doing. I was so pleased that I gave his number to my mother who needed some work done around her house. At her house Ben and his crew replaced some siding and repaired her screen porch. I would definitely call him again.

Ben is very professional, very knowledgeable of this kind of work. I have been taken by handymen in the past - shoddy/incomplete work - patch fixes. Ben and his Sterling Paint employees are very reliable. They know what to do and they are skilled workers. I have already recommended them to my daughters and my neighbors.

Bens response was quick. The workers were good. The painting (bonus room and ceiling) was immaculate. We were pleased to be able to us a contractor in Gwinnett County.

Ben Hawkins ( the owner ) was hands on and made multiple trips to the job to ensure everything was being done to my specifications. Ben is great. He is from the 'old school' where yes is yes and no .... well you get it. If Ben says he will get it done, he will. He had the best price out of 4 quotes by 20%. Ben went the extra mile for me on a couple various issues. The upside is that the work was done as promised and (due to my personal oversight) professionally. The 'B' marks that I gave on quality and professionalism was due to a new worker (3 months) who really did not have his 'stuff' together. IF I had not been home that day there would have been three errors on this job (two significant). Still, I would not hesitate calling Sterling Paint & Construction Services again, BUT, I would ask Ben to send me his 'A' team, no new hires.

After the rundown and estimate were provided, there was a mis-communication re: the color of trim and walls at the start, but Sterling responded quickly and promptly offered to repaint the trim where it had been wrong, and also offered to repaint the walls. I stuck to the "wrong" color on the walls and accomdated by making both bedrooms the same "wrong" color, but it looks great. All trim and ceilings were painted, and all rooms were painted. they did a fantastic, quality job, and the place looked "brand new" after the work was completed. One issue with a bathroom vent that didn't get placed back into place properly, but I'm sure, had I noticed it in a reasonable amount of time, and reported it, Sterling would have come back out and fixed the bathroom vent. Overall, I was very happy with the job done. Sterling accomadated working around my 3 cats, and was able to leave at least one room with a door available to place them in while they worked thru the home, and that was greatly appreciated.

WHILE THE PRICE WAS NOT OUR LOWEST BID, THE CONTRACTOR GAVE US THE MOST COMPLETE ESTIMATE WITH SHUTTERS AND PART OF THE GUTTER BEING REPLACED. WHEN WE DID LIKE THE ORIGINAL SELECTION WE MADE FOR THE FRONT DOOR HE CAME BY WITH NEW SAMPLES AND REPAINTED THE DOOR PRONTO. I FELT HIS PAINTERS WERE POLITE AND PROFESSIONAL. I WOULD CERTAINLY USE THE CONTRACTOR AGAIN .SINCERELY ROBIN SICA

Very good overall, but you must agree to a fix price.
