Description of Work: Did a good job installing lighting in my basement. Price was great even after i included addtional work. I had a light fixture over the garage door that I found not attached securely, but the other work was pretty good. I also had a fan installed in the overhead of my back deck enclosure. They were friendly and courteous and I would seriously consider using them again for any minor jobs.

Description of Work: Power Outage in second story of house. Electrician showed up and found faulty wiring in the circuit breaker. They recabled the box and were done within an our. They even tested a faulty ceiling fan at no cost. Great job. Excellent service.

Description of Work: Two lamps were flickering and were plugged into floor outlets, we were concerned about fire risk. Mr Browning and employee arrived exactly on time, took apart the outlets, tested everything around it and finally determined that by coincidence the two lamps had faulty/old sockets and it was not the outlets in the floor that were causing the lights to flicker. He spent 30 or more mins and charged a reasonable service call charge. He has done work for us in the past and does a wonderful job.

Description of Work: John and his buddy came to my house in the time frame they promised. Very responsible and reasonable proced. Did fix the problem and were very curtious in thier approach. I had to call they another day to check on something I thought was wrong, came immediately, though the problem was not with their previous work.very happy with them and will use them again in future if needed.

 + -1 moreThe electrical outage in our bedroom was discovered about 5pm. I checked with two other companies, one I've used before, and appointments were made for the following afternoon. My third call was to John Browning, who answered his phone and said he would stop at my house within the hour. He worked for over an hour to discover and repair the faulty outlets causing the outage, and his charge was quite reasonable, considering he came right away and same day of call.
Description of Work: Mr. Browning located the source of the electrical outage and worked to resolve it completely. He repaired at least 6 outlets and restored electrical service.

 + -1 moreI called John and he advised me that he would contact me that evening to set up a time the next day to come out to our house. He called us as he said he would and scheduled an appointment between 9-9:30AM and arrived on time. I explained the situation to John and he methodically checked the line to determine where the problem was and as soon as he found it, he showed me the culprit (which was badly damaged) and replaced it. I asked John if he would be able to do some additional work for me, specifically to install an outlet on the deck and another in the back of the house. John was extremely courteous and professional and was VERY easy to work with.
Description of Work: Our HVAC unit was not working, so we called an HVAC technician who diagnosed the problem as electrical, so I called John Browning who came out the next day. He tested the wires from the fuse box to the HVAC panel and diagnosed the problem as a brunt-out (I believe) conductor/relay box, that he then replaced. John also installed two outlets on the outside of the house (one on our deck and the other by the basement door).

THEN, CAME TO MY HOUSE TO REPAIR AN INOPERATIVE GFCI IN MY GARAGE AND CHARGED ME ONLY $15.00 (INCLUDED IN THE $167.00). ANOTHER COMPANY HAD CHARGED ME $132.00 AND MR. BROWNING CHARGED ME $15.00 TO DO THE SAME THING!!! AND HE WAS WORKING OVERTIME. I'LL BE HAPPY TO GIVE HIS NAME & NUMBER TO MY FRIENDS.
