I first called Triad in November 2013 when my air conditioning unit started leaking water in my utility closet. I can only be home one day a week, and they were able to work with my schedule to send someone out within two days! Their technician found that the unit was in desperate need of a cleaning, and he was able to recommend three possible solutions at varying price points so I could choose the one that worked best for my circumstances. As a single woman, I've had a lot of bad experiences with auto mechanics and repairmen trying to sell me things I don't need, but he was great about explaining the problem and the solutions in plain English without being condescending or making me feel guilty for not taking the priciest course of action. I was so impressed that I signed up for their Value Care Club. I've had two visits since - once when my A/C stopped working during the hottest part of summer (the capacitor had to be replaced) and more recently for my autumn "tune-up" - I had Lee both times, and he's great! Very friendly and very good about explaining what he's doing, why he's doing it, and what I can do to prolong the life of the unit I have now. It stinks to have my heating or A/C on the fritz, but he always makes it as painless as possible and gets me back up and running again as fast as he can. I've also had a lot of experience with the front office, as unfortunately my Value Care Club information didn't get entered correctly in their system the first time around. That was a little rough, since I was missed during the usual "window" for the autumn tune-up, but Kim handled it so well that in the end, it was no problem at all. Once she discovered the error, she took extra time to go through my customer record and correct everything that was wrong, then made a special exception to ensure that I got my tune-up appointment that same week even though 1) I had missed the official tune-up period and 2) it was the coldest week of the year so far, and they were already run off their feet trying to repair heating systems all over town. And since I had also been missed during the window for spring tune-ups, she extended my Value Care Club membership an additional six months to ensure I'd get both of the maintenance appointments I'd paid for! It's great if a company gets things right the first time, but since nobody's perfect 100% of the time, I always think it's more important to be able to admit mistakes and do everything in your power to make them right. Triad definitely did that! I cannot recommend Triad highly enough. Their customer service is top-notch, they do quality work, and they're a pleasure to work with :)

I am so impressed by these folks! The serviceman showed up promptly at 8 AM (the time of our appointment) and had everything done in 45 minutes. He explained what he was doing as he went along, gave us some tips on caring for the furnace ourselves, and even replaced our A/C filter and cleaned out the vent. Friendly and professional, would definitely recommend!

I was contacted within 24 hours of purchasing the deal by a personably young lady - Kim. She scheduled my appointment for the following week. The service rep called on way to give me his ETA, and arrived within minutes of the original time set. He provided me a thorough briefing of services he would provide, and reviewed findings. He was professional, knowledgeable, and left my home the way he found it. I was impressed with his gentlemanly manners, service skills, and knowledge. I would recommend this company to friends.

The service tech was punctual and seemed professional. I was advised that I needed about 2 to 3 pounds of freon at a cost of $119 per pound. I was also told I had a freon leak and would need an E coil which brought my price up to $1500 to repair. I was also told the capacitor was in need of replacement at a cost of $237 . The total repair cost was quoted at $1750 and was told it could be done later in the day or on Sunday. Being a bit frustrated I called around asking about the price quotes and overall information concerning this problem. As it turns out the price of freon is about $35 per pound wholesale and many companies sell it installed between $50 to $70 per pound but not $119. The capacitor I was told I needed costs between $12 to $20 for the part and takes a qualified tech less than 15 minutes to install. You can do the math on these items. I was told that a air price for an installed e coil is less than $400 . I called in Stuart Air and they told me the leak was so small it could not even be located and the system took just under two pounds of freon at a cost of an average of $80 per pound. The coils were cleaned filters were changed,the system checked and a yearly service contract prepared for a total of $375 . I had used Triad before and considered them to be trustworthy but after ths incident I will not call them again. A friend of mine in the AC business in SC tells me that many companies employ service techs who get as much as 20 percent of the repair ticket. I have no idea if Triad techs get a percentage of the ticket but I am now suspicios. It is sad that one has to et a second opinion for home repairs but this second opinion saved me $1400 this time around. My system well may need a capacitor but I am disappointed a company would charge $237 for a $29 part and the same goes for the ecoil My advice to folks is to be careful with any AC contractor as my experience has been that there are some less than honest ones out there that can cost you lots of wasted money. Perhaps a good barometer of how honest they are is ti ask WH much they charge for freon It is true that r 22 freon has gone up alot thanks to EPA but if you are being charged $120 per pound you may want to shop around. If you get a quote for over $1000 I believe it's worth a second opinion an an additional service trip charge. Also know that a service contract may be an invitation for some companies to come into your home to sell you things you may not necessarily need. Be careful and listen to your gut feelings

Previously they did some AC work for me and last week when they came out they did some duct work for me. They are reasonable, professional, and responsive and I believe they are reputable. I had some duct work split.
