Top Turf Lawn Care & Pest Management

Used Top Turf to treat yard, two treatments so far and weeds continue in my yard. Usually 10 to 14 days after each treatment we should have seen weeds turning yellow but not the case here. Called to have a manager follow up , no returned call as requested. Followed up with provider and they showed it was assigned to a Manager to schedule a review. Wasn't in the time I requested. Looking for new service provider.

I requested a quote from Top Turf Lawn Care and Pest Management about two weeks ago and they charged $47 for a visit. They did an overall lawn evaluation. During the evaluation they noticed that we had weeds and they also saw that there were spots which had excessive weeds. They came back later and treated the spots with excessive weeds, without calling us, and carried out the weed treatment free of charge, The people there are wonderful. they are kind and responsive, does not matter what question you have. They are not condescending even when we called them multiple times to clear out all the questions we had. They called back immediately, less then 3 minutes, if we called and left a message for the customer representative if he wasn't available when we called. I would use them in the future without a doubt.

Over the years, we've decreased the amount of grass space in the yard by creating more flower beds, but the cost of treatment hasn't decreased. My biggest complaint is that we have a fenced in backyard with a locked gate and while they call the night before, they don't call when they arrive so that we can unlock the gate. My husband works from home and I'm a sahm so chances are high that one of us is home. Basically, they only end up treating 2/3 of our yard. It's very frustrating. I'm researching new companies to perform this service as we speal.

Lawn never took on rich green color and not all weeds were eliminated.

This company can not get it right! I used Top Turf for my lawn treatment service about 3 years ago and for about one year was happy with the service. My grass looked good and the techs did a good job that included clean up of driveway and sidewalks of granulated lawn chemicals. I guess they changed personnel and they failed to clean up after two treatments. I called and spoke with the manager both times and he assured me that it would not happen again. I explained to him that they would be fired if it happened again. On the next treatment about one month later again clean up was not done. I called and the manager and explained to him that I wanted someone to come out and clean up the mess and that they were fired. The manager did if fact come out and clean my drive and sidewalks. I have used two different companies since Top Turf and have not been too happy with them for the last 3 years. One of Top Turf's salesmen called to see if they could win back my business. I explained to him the problem with the last time we did business together and he assured me that that would not be an issue if given another chance. I did like the way my grass looked when I had them before and was unhappy with the current service I had so I told him I would give them another go. He assured me that it was noted on the account that it was important to clean up after treatment and I explained that they would be fired if it happened. Well the techs came out to do the first treatment and never coming to door to see if anyone was home and I watched them put out granulated product on the yard and all over the drive, sidewalks, and patio packed up and left with cleaning up the mess. Needless to say I was dumfounded that any company could do that. I called and spoke with the manager, who did not offer to come back and clean up, and he said it was noted on the account and that he was sorry it happened.I fired them again. I spoke with the sales person who could not believe that they messed it up. Last but not least I just received a bill for the treatment. I called and spoke with the manager to discuss the bill and to get the price reduced for my time to clean up after his people failed to do so and he refused.

My experience has been great. I dont have any complaints. I have been using them for about 5 years.

They are always professional, they always call ahead of time, and they always show up when they say they will. My yard has never looked better.

Overall, the service has went well. The service provider leaves the invoice and further instruction for the yard. If we have a question, we do contact the service provider. Most of the time we receive fairly prompt responses.

Well I went back to Top Turf after they ignored my plea for help last December, poor decision on my part. Basically I started back with these guy around end of March and they came to service my weeds. My issue arose when my lawn was totally ignore for 9 weeks and during that time my lawn was struggling. My neighbor uses Top Turf (because of how my lawn looked over the yrs) and I seen his Top Turf guy come out 2 times, while my home was never serviced and no one ever came out to even check on my lawn. I believe this is due to the fact that I cancelled the prior December and this was their way to express their displeasure. I can say this with conviction, because I was with this company for 4 yrs prior and never has my lawn gone without service or even a checkup, more than 4-5wks. Poor treatment of your customers will always lead to lose of customers. This company only cares about you (even if your a long standing cust) if your paying them. They feel they are the only real company doing this on the south side of Atlanta, so your options are thin and they can treat you anyway they want. I spoke to their representative that sent me a letter to see why I cancelled my service and in that conversation it was inferred many times that due to me not being on the full schedule (8 treatments), this is what caused my lawn issues. Now this is interesting because, I'm not sure how their guys not coming to my home for 9 wks (during a HOT summer) has anything to do with when I started my plan, those guys never stopping by in-between service when they are in my neighborhood to check on my lawn, I have no idea how those guys telling me that the cause of my lawn issue is due to my lawn being cut low (which is a joke because I'v cut my lawn at 4'', always), and I dont understand how any of this is my fault. Well the second issue was I didnt agree with that assessment and asked that someone else come out and give a second opinion. Well they blew me off for a week and I had to call a second time, finally end of the next wk someone came out and said grass is cut too low and there is compaction, so water each zone for a 1hr. I cancelled service and found a new company built on cust service first. Their assessment of my lawn was totally different and more informational and problem solving. They concluded that my lawn was suffering from drought stress and gave me multiple ways to solve the issue. After looking up what drought stress to see what it looks like, its exactly what my issue is, not the fact of cutting my lawn low. I may not have had this issue, if Top Turf cared to come out sometime, anytime within that 9 week window. I would not look to go back to these ppl because, if your not being charged for 8 treatments like they want, if you want to be called prior to them coming out, if your outside of your normal treatment structure, they dont give a d*** about your lawn. Proof is in the pudding and I have more than 4 yrs with them and I know when I'm getting the cold shoulder, question when (not if) it will happen to you. Also to clarify something on my treatment schedule, I only excluded the last two service treatments which is lime ( I do myself) and per-emergent. With me excluding those two treatments my lawn has never struggled over the first 4 yrs. So proof of fact is the last two are a money grab, especially during the cold months when Bermuda is dormant and the ground is frozen like a rock(last yr 2011 was the exception to this fact). Do yourself a favor and just don't do it and trust I'm going to let my neighbors know there is a better company that actually cares about you as a customer and not only focused on the money you pay them.

I have used them for ten years. They do a complete job. I have never had any billing problems or any issue where I think they are not doing a good job. I have had to call them back once to fix a spider problem and they took care of it immediately. They always do what they are supposed to do within the given timeframe.

They were real nice and friendly. We didn't have any complaints. They didn't give me a hard sale.

Their pest control services are excellent. They come to my home every quarter to spray for insects. They mainly spray outside my home but will spray inside if necessary.

They are amazing, and do a very good job. I am very happy with the service they provide, and they are nice people. When they first came out, they did a terrific job of explaining what they do. They advised me as to what needed to be done, and why.

They are excellent. Mario has been my guy for 10 years. I pay $35 a treatment. I can't do what he does for the money. The price is very fair. The quality of his work is excellent. He is very responsive. I can call the office and he will come out immediately to take a look if I have a problem. He will leave a hanger on the door when he comes. His timing is excellent; he watches the calendar and comes every month to month and a half. He is a great guy. I will continue to use him and I would recommend him.

They did what they were supposed to do.

My experience with Top Turf was the worst I have ever had. I had requested their lawn fertilization and treatment service. They arrived one day and sprayed the first application. Within days my Bermuda grass started dying. I contacted them and they sent someone out who told me I scalped the lawn and it was not them. I have a John Deere riding mower and with the cutting deck and its lowest setting it does not scalp my lawn. They could not locate any blade marks on my lawn but they still insisted that I scalped it. Now would I need be able to see it scalping my lawn when I came around for the next pass? I would not continue cutting the grass if I noticed that. I called another lawn service to come inspect my lawn and give me their assessment. I did not tell them what happened but when the gentleman arrived he looked at it and asked if I had sprayed anything on it. I said I did not but I had another company treat it. He advised that whoever sprayed it burned my grass. Since every person I spoke to at Top Turf denied any responsibility I requested to speak to the owner. He was worse than the others. He never offered to come out and look or anything else. Just stuck to what the technician told them.

We've been using them for over 2 years. They do a great job. They chemicals they use actually work. They don't ruin the lawn but they do kill the weeds. We switched to them from another company.

I was with this company for about 4 yrs and this past yr(after Dec 26th '11), once all my treatments were completed, I called to ask for some help with a issue I noticed. The issue was there were some darkish colored weed grass growing over from my neighbors lawn into mine. My lawn is Bermuda and it was dormant, so it was easy to see, I called and asked if they could come out and tell me what it was and how I may be able to treat it. I even spoke with a manager who said they would get someone out there to let me know what they thought. No one came out and this darkish color grass weed continued to spread into my lawn, I waited a wk and a half, still no one. I finally just figured they didn't come because I wasn't paying them to come out and I guess that wasn't in their best interest. Mind you I have been with them for over 4yrs and this is how they treat you, always about the money, never about really helping the customer. Everyone knows this season has been irregular and to not have a lawn treatment company that really cares sucks. And what makes this even more disrespectful is, in my subdivision no one really had top turf in the back where I live. I have had one of the best looking lawns for the past 3yrs but this yr my lawn grabbed everyone's attention. Guess what, everyone in the back where I live now has top turf and top turf never once recognized me for that, even the clients they had that lived in the front of my subdivision, their grass cant even compare to what my lawn looks like. Most of their clients in the subdivision still had weeds, my lawn had zero. Its not only the lawn care specialist though, its also the things I do in addition to what they do and they failed to respect me as a client and as someone who helped bring attention to their business in my subdivision. Its ok, I have a new lawn care specialist and once my neighbors get the disrespectful treatment from top turf, they'll be looking for a new lawn specialist and they will need not look no further than who's name is on my lawn. I may not have wanted to cancel my Top Turf service but when you have customer service that's really bad it will surface sooner or later.

I used Top Turf annual lawn treatment program for approximately 1.5 years and for the most part was happy. Prior to signing up I tried treating my lawn myself for many years, but was never able to stay ahead of the aggressive Georgia weeds. I was very happy with the service for the sections of the lawn where the bermuda grass was healthy and thick, which was for the most part the sections of the lawn where there was a lot of sun. For the partially shaded areas however the weeds never really seemed to go away. I called several times asking for someone to return to re-treat those problematic areas, but the weeds in these areas never really went away. Overall the yard did look very good, but I contracted for full yard service and I did not feel I was receiving that. Ultimately I cancelled my service and am shopping for another provider.

Absolutely one of the worst customer experiences ever. EVER.After many years of lousy results and thousands of dollars, I finally cancelled their service. However, they subsequently applied pre-emergent, killing my newly seeded lawn. After several more calls to cancel, repeatedly explaining the situation, several e-mails, and finally a certified letter, they continued to both bill me and repeatedly threatened to turn it over for collection - - this was for a service that I had cancelled! Their rep "Mike" called me at my office and was rude, demanding and obnoxious (he has been called out by other posters here). He even tried to deny they had applied preemergent - - despite it being listed on their own service slip.

Professional service. They came and gave an estimate. Had their service group followup to confirm. Ensured confirmation from me on every step. (Maybe seemed like a little overkill but their process seemed thorough). They've been very punctual (although I do not have to be home for their service) and call a day or two before service to let me know. Lawn looks very good.

For the first couple of years, the service was generally correct and as requested. They would call before performing any scheduled service and allow us to prepare or reschedule. In 2009 and 2010, their schedule became erratic and calls were hit and miss. They failed to follow our instructions on overseeding and overcharged for the service requested. In 2009 they applied weed control without notifying us in advance. This was on top of spot weed control that we had performed. This damaged our grass and some areas have never recovered. in August 2010, they again misapplied weed control and we immediately discontinued service. TopTurf adopted an attitude that service was on their schedule and not on a schedule that was best for the lawn or the customer.

I like them a lot. Compared to other companies that I have used, I like that they call, they show up, and they do what they say they are going to do. I haven’t had any problems in the year that I’ve had them. I think their price is very good; they were definitely the most economical. They are very responsive and punctual.

Flea and Tick applications, lawn pesticide and fertilization, tree and shrub service

when overseeding last fall they broke 2 of mine sprinkler heads. they refused to pay for a professional to fix it, insisting that they will fix it themselves. they really lacked expertise in this so it took them 1.5 months to replace the heads. i am not even sure if it was done right. i spent too much time on this with them so i dropped them.
