The guys were great! I purchased a DEAL that included the 4 men, 1 truck and 7 hours. They got everything moved and put into the new house in 7 hours and 20 minutes. GREAT JOB! (it was a lot of stuff) The experience was excellent from my first contact with the woman in the office until the guys left.
Description of Work: The guys (4) arrived on time at 10am - they did a great job...they wrapped all my furniture with pads before beginning to move it.

LET ME START BY SAYING THAT THE MEN WHO DID THE ACTUAL LABOR INOLVED WITH THE MOVING OF THE GOODS WERE POLITE, FRIENDLY AND SEEMED TO BE WORKING HARD, AT LEAST FOR THE FIRST HALF OF THE DAY. DURING THE SECOND HALF OF THE DAY THEY APPEARED TIRED AND SOME EVEN COMMENTED THEY HAD BEEN UP FOR 24 HOURS STRAIGHT AND HAD PERFORMED A MOVE THAT MORNING BEFORE THEY ARRIVED AT MY PLACE. THEY RAN INTO A COUPLE OBSTACLES DURING THE LOADING OF THE GOODS ONTO THE FIRST TRUCK PRIMARILY BECAUSE THE FIRST TRUCK GOT PRETTY FULL PRIOR TO THE SECOND TRUCK ARRIVING AND THEY HAD SOME TROUBLE FIGURING OUT HOW TO TAKE ONE OF MY BEDS APART AS WELL AS DISASSEMBLING A DESK UNIT AND TELEVISION MOUNTS. IN THE END, THEY FIGURED OUT HOW TO DISASSEMBLE THE BED, WHICH THEY REASSEMBLED AT MY NEW HOUSE, BUT WE ENDED UP HAVING TO LEAVE BOTH THE TV MOUNTS MOUNTED TO THE WALL BECAUSE IT WAS TAKING TOO MUCH TIME FOR THEM TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO TAKE THEM OFF THE WALL AND THEY COULDN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO DO IT. THEY ALSO ENDED UP LEAVING A PORTION OF THE DESK UNIT BEHIND BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO TAKE IT APART. THIS IS WHERE THE PROBLEM WITH MY HOA BEGAN. THEY WERE INSTRUCTED TO LOAD ANY LARGE PIECES OF THE DESK UNIT THAT THEY COULD NOT FIGURE OUT HOW TO DISASSEMBLE ON THE TRUCK AND THAT WE WOULD DONATE THOSE PIECES TO GOODWILL FOR A TAX WRITE OFF. AND, THAT ANY SMALL ALREADY DISASSEMBLED PIECES COULD BE PUT DOWN THE CONDO COMPLEX'S TRASH CHUTE. THEY SAID THEY UNDERSTOOD AND WE DISCUSSED IT MORE THAN ONCE. THEY WERE TOLD WHERE THE CHUTE WAS, HOW TO ENTER THE UPPER TRASH CHUTE AREA AND WERE TOLD TO CALL ME AND I WOULD BUZZ THEM BACK THROUGH THE GATE AFTER THEY FINISHED PUTTING IT DOWN THE CHUTE. THE TRASH CHUTE IS LOCATED DIRECTLY ABOVE MY BUILDING AND THROUGH THE CONDO GATE. I HEARD THEM UP THERE AND I KNOW THEY WENT UP THERE BECAUSE THEY TOLD ME THEY WENT UP. I CANNOT REMEMBER IF I BUZZED THEM THROUGH THE UPPER GATE OR NOT BUT SOMETIMES IT ISN'T NECESSARY IF SOMEONE ELSE IS USING THE ENTRANCE GATE AS WELL. IN THE END THEY PUT NONE OF THE DESK UNIT PIECES IN QUESTION ON THE TRUCK. I'M ASSUMING BECAUSE THE FIRST TRUCK WAS FULL, AND INSTEAD PUT SEVERAL LARGE PIECES OF THE UNIT IN THE CONDO'S TRASH COMPACTOR / DUMPSTER AREA LOCATED BEHIND A 12ft PLUS, COVERED AND CHAINED AREA THAT IS GATED. THIS WAS DESPITE BEING INSTRUCTED NOT TO DO SO BECAUSE OF IT BEING IN VIOLATION OF THE CONDO'S RULES (EVERYTHING MUST BE PUT DOWN THE CHUTE AND IF IT DOESN'T FIT MUST BE DISPOSED OF BY OTHER MEANS). THERE IS A BIG SIGN ON THE FRONT OF THE GATE THAT SAYS NOT TO DISPOSE OF ANY ITEMS IN THE DUMPSTER AREA AND THAT ANY VIOLATERS WILL BE SUBJECT TO A $500 FINE. THEY IGNORED MY WARNINGS AND THE SIGN WARNING AND DID SO ANYWAY, UNBEKNOWNST TO ME. TO DO SO THEY HAD TO REMOVE A CHAIN THAT WAS WRAPPED AROUND THE GATE TO THE 12ft + FENCE (THERE WAS NO LOCK JUST THE CHAIN), AND PLACE THE ITEMS NEXT TO THE DUMPSTER, THEN CLOSE THE GATE AND RE-WRAP THE CHAIN AROUND THE GATE. NOTE, YOU CANNOT SEE BEHIND THE GATE BECAUSE THERE ARE HUGE TARPS INSIDE THE AREA THAT ARE SECURED TO THE FENCING SO THE AREA IS NOT AN EYESORE. AGAIN, THERE IS A 3 ft X 5ft SIGN THAT CLEARLY STATES THAT ITEMS CANNOT BE LEFT IN THE AREA INSIDE OR OUTSIDE THE GATE/FENCING AND THAT VIOLATERS WILL BE CHARGED UP TO $500. WE KNOW THAT THEY NOT ONLY LEFT THE DESK UNIT ITEMS BUT DISCOVERED AFTER THE MOVE WAS COMPLETE AND PAID FOR THAT THEY HAD LEFT SEVERAL OF MY LARGER HOUSEHOLD ITEMS AS WELL, INCLUDING TWO ELECTRIC LAUNDRY PANTS PRESS VALETS (ONE CORBY AND ONE BROOKSTONE), A THREE BIN LAUNDRY SORTER THAT HAD BEEN PURCHASED AT TARGET, A LARGE METAL IKEA SUIT VALET, A METAL STEP STOOL AND SOME OTHER MISC ITEMS AS WELL. WE DID NOT KNOW THESE ITEMS WERE LEFT UNTIL WE RECEIVED A LETTER AND PHOTOGRAPHS FROM OUR HOA STATING THE ITEMS HAD BEEN LEFT BEHIND IN THE RESTRICTED LOWER GATED AREA AND THAT WE WERE BEING FINED $200 PLUS $50 A DAY AND A COST TBD FOR THEIR REMOVAL! THE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT COMPANY NOTIFIED US THAT A HOA BOARD MEMBER WITNESSED THE ENTIRE EVENT (WE WERE IN THE CONDO AND DID NOT SEE ANYTHING, AND HAVE EXPRESSED THIS IN WRITING. WE HAVE ALSO ASKED THE HOA TO DISCLOSE THE NAME AND CONTACT INFO FOR THE WITNESS AND HAVE ALSO ASKED FOR ANY FILM EVIDENCE, IF ANY.) WE WERE SHOCKED WHEN WE RECEIVED THE LETTER BECAUSE WE HAD NO IDEA THE ITEMS WERE LEFT BEHIND AND MISSING (WE STILL HAVE A GARAGE FULL OF ITEMS YET TO BE UNPACKED AND SORTED THROUGH) AND IMMEDIATELY DROVE 45 MINUTES TO THE CONDO TO SEE IF ANY OF OUR ITEMS COULD BE RETRIEVED. WHEN WE ARRIVED AT THE CONDO TRASH GATE AREA WE FOUND ONLY ONE PANTS PRESS (THE BROOKSTONE ONE), PARTS FROM THE LAUNDRY SORTER AND THE STEP STOOL. EVERYTHING ELSE WAS GONE. WE RETRIEVED ALL THE ITEMS THAT WERE STILL THERE, MITIGATING ANY FURTHER FINES AND REMOVAL COSTS AND CALLED CHARLES MOORE TO REPORT THE INCIDENT. MR. MOORE, AND SOMEONE FROM HIS OFFICE NAMED TRACY, WERE ARGUMENTATIVE AND HAVE BEEN UNRESPONSIVE. IN ADDITION WE CONTACTED THE HOA AND ARE IN NEGOTIATIONS WITH THEM FOR THE VIOLATION AND FINES. THUS FAR THEY ARE INSISTING ALL FINES MUST BE PAID. AFTER CLEANING UP AND DRYING OUT THE BROOKSTONE PANTS PRESS WE PLUGGED IT IN AND MUCH TO OUR SURPRISE FOUND THAT IT IS WORKING. THE LAUNDRY BIN SORTER IS A TOTAL LOSS. THE STEP STOOL IS FINE. IN ALL, WE ARE OUT THE CORBY ELECTRIC PRESS PANT VALET ($250 TO REPLACE), THE LAUNDRY THREE BIN SORTER ($50 TO REPLACE), THE IKEA SUIT VALET ($50 TO REPLACE) AND MISC DESK UNIT PIECES - LOSS/VALUE STILL UNKNOWN. ALL ARE INCLUDED IN THE PHOTOGRAPHS TAKEN BY THE HOA. IN ADDITION, WE HAVE BEEN ASKED TO PAY THE FINES AND ANY REMOVAL COSTS IMPOSED BY THE HOA. THAT COST, THUS FAR IMPOSED, IS $200 PLUS WHATEVER FEES THEY CHARGE FOR DAILY AND ANY REMOVAL FEES THEY IMPOSE. SO FAR WE HAVE RECEIVED ONLY ONE BILL FOR $200. WE WERE FRUSTRATED BY THE FACT THAT THE MOVE ENDED UP COSTING ALMOST TWICE THE QUOTED AMOUNT BUT THEN TO DISCOVER THAT THEY LEFT VALUABLE, PERSONAL ITEMS BEHIND AS WELL ADDS TO OUR FRUSTRATION AND DISSATISFACTION. MR. MOORE'S UNRESPONSIVENESS TO US IS APPALLING ESPECIALLY SINCE HE HAS BEEN FORWARDED PHOTOGRAPHIC PROOF OF THIS AS WELL AS BEEN TOLD THERE WAS AN WITNESS TO EVERYTHING. IT IS MY HOPE THAT THE HOA WILL BE ABLE TO PROVIDE THE CAMERA EVIDENCE TO ME THAT I HAVE ASKED FOR TOO. NOTE, THE MOVERS HAD TO INTENTIONALLY LEAVE THOSE ITEMS BEHIND AND HIDE THEM BEHIND THE GATE WHERE THEY COULD NOT BE SEEN. THIS ONLY ADDS INSULT TO THE INJURY. MR. MOORE HAS NOT RETURNED OUR CALLS OR TEXTS SINCE SATURDAY 12/05/15. HE HAD CALLED ME ON 12/03/15 (BEFORE THE WHOLE HOA DISCOVERY, ETC) AND SAID HE WOULD BE HERE AT MY NEW HOME ON MONDAY 12/07/15 TO DROP OFF SOME ITEMS OF OURS THEY HAD FOUND LEFT BEHIND ON THE TRUCK (HE MENTIONED OFFICE/DESK ITEMS BUT DID NOT ELABORATE AND I DIDN'T ASK ANY FURTHER QUESTIONS EITHER) AND ALSO WANTED TO CHECK AND SEE IF THEY HAD LEFT SOME MOVING STRAPS IN THE GARAGE THAT THEY COULD NOT FIND AFTER OUR MOVE. I SAID SURE HE COULD COME BUT HE HASN'T SHOWN UP NOR HAS HE RESPONDED TO ANY CALLS OR TEXTS EITHER. I AM ASKING THAT ANGIE'S LIST HELP ME TO RESOLVE THIS DISPUTE AND MR. MOORE RECTIFY THE ENTIRE SITUATION, INCLUDING REIMBURSING ME FOR A PORTION OF THE MOVING COSTS AND/OR PAYING FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF MY LOST/DESTROYED GOODS AND THAT HE PAY ANY AND ALL FINES AND OTHER FEES ASSOCIATED AND IMPOSED BY THE CONDO HOA.
Description of Work: CHUCK'S MOVING AND DELIVERY SERVICE WAS HIRED TO PERFORM A COMPLETE MOVE FOR ME FROM ONE RESIDENCE TO ANOTHER, INCLUDING REMOVING ITEMS FROM A STORAGE UNIT LOCATED FIVE MINUTES FROM MY PREVIOUS RESIDENCE. THE MOVE FROM THE ATLANTA CONDO TO THE NEW RESIDENCE WAS APPROXIMATELY 23 MILES AND 30 MINUTES IN TIME. THE CONTRACT INCLUDED MOVING ALL MY HOUSEHOLD AND STORAGE ITEMS, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE WASHER AND DRYER, FROM MY ATLANTA, GA CONDOMINIUM TO MY NEW SINGLE FAMILY HOME LOCATED IN ALPHARETTA/JOHNS CREEK, GA. IN ADDITION, THE CONTRACT INCLUDED DISASSEMBLING AND REASSEMBLING ANY NECESSARY ITEMS. THERE WAS NO PACKING OF ITEMS INVOLVED. I PACKED MY OWN ITEMS. PRIOR TO PURCHASING THE ANGIE'S LIST BIG DEAL MR. CHARLES MOORE VERIFIED MY MOVE DATE WAS AVAILABLE THEN CAME TO MY HOUSE, DID A COMPLETE CONDO WALK THRU AND WE DISCUSSED THE STORAGE UNIT SIZE AND CONTENTS (10X15 FLOOR TO CEILING INCLUDING 2 BIKES AND SOME MISC FURNITURE ITEMS PLUS MANY PACKED BOXES AND PLASTIC STORAGE BINS) AND HE RECOMMENDED I PURCHASE THE 2 TRUCK, FOUR MEN, SEVEN HOURS BIG DEAL PACKAGE. HE TOLD ME GIVEN THE CONDO SIZE AND ITEMS TO BE MOVED INVOLVED (CONDO IS 1,408 Sq Ft) AND STORAGE ITEMS (10x15 Sq Ft) I WOULD NEED MOVED, I NEEDED TO PURCHASE THAT BIG DEAL PACKAGE. WHEN HE SENT THE CONTRACT OVER HE SENT A ONE TRUCK CONTRACT BUT CHANGED IT WHEN I CONTACTED HIM TO CLARIFY. HE ALSO INDICATED THAT THERE WOULD BE AN ADDITIONAL $200 CHARGE ($100 FOR EACH TRUCK) FOR THE TRUCKS' TRANSIT CHARGE. HE INDICATED BECAUSE I AM AN ANGIE'S LIST MEMBER I QUALIFIED TO PURCHASE THE BIG DEAL PACKAGE AND I PURCHASED AND PAID FOR THE ONE HE RECOMMENDED AND SAID WOULD BE ADEQUATE FOR THE JOB. MR. MOORE INDICATED I COULD PURCHASE THE BIG DEAL DIRECTLY FROM HIM AND HE CHARGED ME $170.00 UP FRONT ON A CREDIT CARD THEN THE ADDITIONAL $1,932.00 WAS COLLECTED ON MOVING DAY. NOTE, THE BIG DEAL QUOTED WAS $1,260.00. I ENDED UP HAVING TO PAY $1,102.00 WHICH INCLUDED $56.00 FOR INSURANCE. THE FOUR (4) MOVERS SHOWED UP ON 11/21/15 AT 10AM AND LOADED UP THE BOXES, BINS AND FURNITURE (THEY DID NO PACKING; I PACKED ALL MY STUFF BEFORE THEY ARRIVED) AND WERE INSTRUCTED, AS MR. MOORE WAS, EVERYTHING IN CONDO AND STORAGE WAS TO GO TO MY NEW RESIDENCE EXCEPT THE WASHER AND DRYER. THERE WAS A MIX-UP WHEN THEY ARRIVED BECAUSE THEY HAD THE INCORRECT CONTRACT AND ONLY CAME WITH ONE TRUCK BUT THE PROBLEM WAS REMEDIED MID-WAY THROUGH THE DAY WHEN A SECOND TRUCK ARRIVED. IT WAS DURING THE INTERIM TIME WHEN ONLY ONE TRUCK WAS THERE THAT I BELIEVE THE PROBLEMS BEGAN. THEY FILLED THE FIRST TRUCK AND HAD VERY LITTLE ROOM FOR ANY ADDITIONAL ITEMS BEFORE THE SECOND TRUCK ARRIVED. I WILL ELABORATE IN DETAIL ON THIS BELOW. MR. MOORE HAD BEEN CORRECT, THERE WAS TOO MUCH STUFF TO FIT IN JUST ONE TRUCK. THAT IS WHY I PURCHASED TWO TRUCKS. ONE TRUCK WAS FILLED COMPLETELY EVEN BEFORE GOING TO MY STORAGE UNIT. SO, THEY TOOK TWO ME AND FOLLOWED ME TO THE NEW RESIDENCE IN ONE FULLY LOADED TRUCK. ON THE WAY WE STOPPED AT THE STORAGE UNIT AND HAD TO WAIT THERE FOR THE NEW TRUCK TO ARRIVE (THE 2ND TRUCK THEY SENT OVER WAS TOO BIG TO FIT INSIDE THE INDOOR STORAGE UNIT). IT TOOK ABOUT AN HOUR TO FIGURE ALL THAT OUT AND GET A TRUCK THAT WOULD FIT. SO WHEN THEY SECOND "NEW" TRUCK ARRIVED THEY STARTED LOADING THAT TRUCK AND I LEFT WITH THE FULLY LOADED TRUCK TO GO TO MY NEW RESIDENCE FOR THE UNLOADING OF THAT TRUCK. TWO MOVERS STAYED AT THE STORAGE UNIT AND CAME TO THE RESIDENCE AFTER THAT TRUCK WAS LOADED. WHEN THE FIRST TRUCK ARRIVED WITH MY HOUSEHOLD GOODS AT MY NEW RESIDENCE THEY BROUGHT MOST OF THE BOXES AND BINS, FURNITURE, ECT INTO MY NEW HOME AND SET UP MY TWO BEDS. THE SECOND TRUCK WITH THE STORAGE ITEMS ARRIVED VERY LATE IN THE DAY AND ENDED UP BEING OFF-LOADED INTO MY GARAGE (INSTEAD OF PUT IN APPROPRIATE ROOMS IN THE HOUSE, BECAUSE BY THE TIME THEY ARRIVED IT WAS VERY LATE AND DARK OUTSIDE THEY DIDN'T FINISH OFF LOADING THE SECOND TRUCK UNTIL APPROXIMATELY 11:15-11:30 AT NIGHT. MY HUSBAND AND I WERE VERY UPSET BECAUSE THE ENTIRE PROCESS SHOULD HAVE ENDED BY 5:00 PM AS QUOTED. IT WAS MR. MOORE WHO HAD SAID HE COULD COMPLETE THE MOVE IN SEVEN HOURS USING THE TWO TRUCKS AND FOUR MEN, NO PROBLEM. I AGREED BECAUSE IT HAD TAKEN MUCH LESS TIME TO MOVE IN THE ITEMS TO THE 1,400 sq ft CONDO AND 10X15 STORAGE UNIT. IN REALITY, CHUCK'S MOVING AND STORAGE TOOK 13 AND ONE HALF HOURS AND I PAID ALMOST DOUBLE WHAT HAD BEEN ESTIMATED. AGAIN, I WAS QUITE SURPRISED CONSIDERING THE MOVE TO THE CONDO AND STORAGE TOOK CONSIDERABLY LESS TIME THAN THAT AND EVERYTHING WAS PACKED UP AND READY TO GO WHEN THEY ARRIVED.

Mrs. [Member Name Removed] First lets clarify the facts, When I met with you prior to conducting the move, I explained to you that we do not remove any wall mounted fixtures nor do we disassemble or reassemble any appliances. I also explained to you that you needed two 26' trucks and 4 guys and there would be a $100 trip fee per truck, you purchased the 7 hour deal (the largest deal) and if you were to go over the 7 hours that you would be charged the regular rate after the 7 hours as explained on Angie's List. I was contacted by Byron (supervisor) that you were concerned that you didn't have the second truck on the job, the second truck was on the job before the first truck was even halfway full as you stated in your complaint. As far as the guys having the wrong contract they never had one, I was to bring it out, and when I did arrive you were still packing boxes in the kitchen, and I asked how are the guys doing? you replied , "they are doing a great job!". The guys came across a piece of furniture that was in the hallway you told them to throw it away as they were removing it your husband said to you "I want that", so the guys loaded it on the truck. As far as the desk, when the guys attempted to move the desk it started to fall apart Roger explained to you that the acorn nuts were loose they tried to connect them and they were stripped so they couldn't, at that time you told him (Roger) to" throw it away just put it next to the trash dumpster cause "I don't want it to get stuck in the trash chute". Roger and Alex stated they came to you while you were on the patio drinking a high gravity beer and smoking a cigarette and asked you " how do I get to the dumpster?" and you said "I'll have to buzz you in its at the top of the hill". Alex asked "what about the items in the laundry room?" Alex and Roger stated you walked to the Laundry room and pointed out the things in the laundry room that you no longer wanted and stated "oh you can throw that stuff away I have no use for it anymore!" Roger and Alex asked are you sure? Both of the guys said you said "yes" just put it on the side of the dumpster so it wont get stuck in the chute! Roger stated he asked again are you sure? you said "yes!" so that's how the items ended up on the side of the dumpster. As the guys arrived at the storage you failed to mention that it was a drive through storage. Byron noticed a clearance sign of 10' ft 8" and our trucks were over 12’. At that time he contacted me, I came out with a 16' truck with in 20 min which is a little taller than 8' in height. Byron then suggested that you and your husband head to the new location along with 3 of the movers (now you have 5 movers which you paid for 4) and he and Roger would stay back and load the storage unit on the now 16' truck and I left with the large truck. On 12-3-2015 I called you to let you know that there was a metal piece to your shelf that was left on the truck (not pieces of a desk as you implied in your complaint) and we agreed that I would bring it out on 12/7. Now when you called back on 12-05-2015 you started telling me that you received a letter from HOA about the trash the guys put on the side of the dumpster (where you requested it to be placed) with the pictures. I asked you send me the pictures to see what you were talking about, you sent seven pictures, three pictures were the same with the pieces (2) to the black desk and the rack from the laundry room. 2 pictures with the stool and the press were the same as well and a picture with you putting them in your truck. Mrs [Member Name Removed] we moved you on 11-21-15 I contacted you on 12-3-15 when I found the metal piece,to bring it out to you, at that time you mentioned nothing about missing items, you then contacted me on 12-5-15 about a complaint from your HOA and about a fine for trash that you told my guys to place by the dumpster because you didn't want it to get stuck in the trash chute, I do believe there was a communication error on your end do to drinking during the duration of the move, and like i mentioned earlier you and your husband weren't on the same page with what was trash and what wasn’t, shown by his frustration during our conversation on the 5th, you and I know you are being dishonest about most of the things that you have said in your complaint. We moved you on 11-21-15 and you didn't notice those items missing until you received a letter and a fine, that's when these items became important to you, and now your looking for someone to pay these fines which we are not going to do. Mrs. [Member Name Removed] your not being honest in your complaint, and I think its sad to try and ruin my reputation due to your error.

The service was very good, the movers were prompt, courteous and efficient. However, the deal include a "mileage fee" which turned out to be a $60 flat fee supposedly to cover fuel costs. Chuck was totally unwilling to negotiate on this, which I found offensive since his crew had to drive a total of less than 10 miles from their offices to the start and ending addresses. I selected this company because they were very close to my location. If Chuck had shown any willingness to negotiate this fee then I would've recommended him to others. However, I considered his fee to be a hidden cost that allowed him to offer a deceptively lower rate. Using a standard mileage rate of about 57 cents per mile, his crew would've had to drive over 100 miles to incur that kind of cost. This fee should be fully disclosed, or factored into the cost of the service.

As I explained to you prior to your move date our trip fee not (mileage fee) covers our guys prepping the truck and traveling to your first location it has nothing to do with driving from home to home that cost is covered in the hourly rate that we quoted you and you agreed to, as allowed in our moving terrif provided the department of public safety the trip fee is normally an hour of labor however we charged you $60 for the trip fee which is less than half of the hourly rate of service, however we except all reviews and thank you for your review, but for you to say we were being deceptive with our price that's totally off, maybe the next time when you decide to move it would be a better option for you to look for an unlicensed mover that doesn't have employees that use day labor, and they can just pay someone per job but fortunately we are a licensed company with employees and we have to pay our employees just as your job has to pay you from the time that you punch in to the time that you punch out thank you again for the opportunity.

When we first called to set up the time and date for them to come out and take a look and make sure it would be the right sized truck it was really unprofessional. Somebody's cell phone and a real loud environment and I was handed off to two different people and not a great conversation. When the guy came to the house, I guess it was Chuck, he said that the truck wasn't big enough and we had more furniture that would fit that truck so they jumped us up to the next size truck for an additional fee, which we did end up needing so that was good. When moving day did roll around, the smaller truck and only the two guys instead of the larger truck which he said came with another person so it would be three guys, which sent me into a panic. After multiple calls and Chuck quote unquote not remembering our conversation and his whole visit to my house, eventually the right truck showed up and another guy showed up but that was like 2 hours later so we were running 2 hours behind on our move. I liked all the guys, they did a good job but they were slow. It took them from 11:00 AM to load up the house, drive probably 1/2 to our new house, and get everything unloaded, it took them from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM that night. With three guys. They couldn't get my bed back together and still two of the drawers don't work properly underneath. I was aware that there was an addition cost if they went over in hours but I felt like they really milked the clock. They really took advantage of us.

It was very sad. When purchased I got a confirmation phone call. When speaking with the representative he stated there was a mandatory TRIP FEE over and above any agreed upon price on Angie's List. This is false advertising by the mover. He said that he tried to include the trip fee in his advertisement however it was denied. This service was never scheduled and I am not a happy Angie's List customer.

All household goods delivered professionally and without any damage. Overall moving cost exceeded original estimate by 20%. Packing cost were significantly more than estimated. 9 hours and 22 minutes of packing time included 3 packers @ $120 per hour.

Chuck and his assistant were excellent! On our agreed time, Chuck called me to personally reschedule our appointment as he was experiencing a shortage of staff members. He personally came along with another team member to move my items. He profusely apologized for the delay, and carried out the transaction in a professional and timely fashion. Once he brought the items to the new location, he unloaded quickly and placed everything where I asked. I thought that he did a wonderful job, and the move took less than two hours.

To start with; I called Chuck on Friday afternoon (16th) for a Tuesday (20th) move. He was upfront and frank about all charges and the costing model. They were so accommodating on each of my requests and responsive with last minute adjustments. Chuck and the crew showed up promptly and loaded the truck in what seemed like record time. They arrived at the new house and unloaded just as fast. No issues, nothing damaged, and no extra/hidden costs. I would recommend this company to any one. A+++

Chuck's Moving was very professional and fast. I'venever seen movers with such a positive and helpful attitude. It took them slightly more than two hours to move a one bedroom apartment with large sitting area from Druid Hills to Virginia Highlands. It was definitely a stress less move! Chuck's service is 2nd to none. I've moved a few times due to work transfers and have had many moves with major carriers to smaller ones. In the end, you always are hoping the mover does what you discussed and paid for. In the end, Chuck was honest, efficient, his movers are polite and it turned out to be the best move, I have had. For the most part it went well. It took a little longer then I had planned but my 150+ boxes and all the furniture were delivered to the appropriate rooms in a two story house with a basement. My only complaint was 3 men should up instead of the 4 I had asked. The coupon had been for 4 and when it came time to pay instead of using my $730 4-man coupon it was downgraded to the 3-man coupon. Still a good price but something like that should have been worked out before we got started. Overall they did very good work. This is the only company in Atl that doesn't charge an arm and a leg just to get started and their quality and professionalism is as good or better.

Crew called and let me know they were on their way. Punched clock when they started moving my furniture and showed me when they stopped the clock the minute they ended the move. On the initial phone call, they were very upfront and clear about pricing and clearly restated the order of the move I explained on the phone. When the movers arrived, they took time to understand what was to be moved and where. They wrapped furniture; were professional, pleasant, and steady workers.

Chuck's Moving picked up my furniture from my home as well as my storage unit and delivered it to my new home. The crew was very professional and efficient. I'm lazy... so i hired Chuck and his team. I'm still lazy and tired so don't want to spend the time writing a long review :) I will say that they are very professional and great guys to work with. Chuck was always very responsive even worked with me as I had to change my move date at the last minute. I'm happy... price was inline with most other movers I received quotes from.

Chuck called me right away to discuss details of delivery and scheduled it with me on the first call. Chuck was great and very communicative in confirming the delivery and updating me three to four times prior to the delivery men meeting me at the storage locker. The truck was on time, exactly when Chuck said they would be there and we got to work on loading up the truck and they even put some items in my car (wasn't sure I was going to want them in my house yet - too many boxes at one time clutters up the main room). Also because my items were in storage for so long, I wanted to make sure the boxes were bug free. We then took off from the storage locker and they met me at the house (they arrived before me) and started to unload the furniture; me directing where each box/item was to be unloaded. They also helped me unwrap all the previously wrapped furniture and boxed bed mattress and box spring; they also took the garbage away which was a big relief. Some furniture had to be relocated because my couch pieces are enormous and wouldn't get into some of the door frames, but they didn't mind at all trying to fit the furniture where I wanted; even moving it to another level in the house. All in all a great moving experience. We were done within two hours and it was quite painless. I was, at this point, quite sick of making trips back and forth to the storage locker and these guys really made a difference... Hands down, Chuck was the right choice!

The service was wonderful. I have never met a more polite, efficient and punctual service. They were very concerned about our belongings and I can't say enough about. In fact I have recommended them. They were fantastic. My daughter was going into her new apartment and the contractor was painting the front door of the apartment the way we moved in and this is the first time that somebody was so careful with our stuff. They were so careful that nothing got damaged. They put everything in the foyer except her bed. They were finished with us within an hour and a half. It was well worth every penny as everybody else wanted to charge me $100 more for the same thing. It was a wonderful bargain. The quality of the job was without hitch. When we move we'll call Chuck.

Chuck and his guys were very professional and took a lot of care not to scratch the furniture or the either of the houses. 1 room of the stuff was upstairs and both sets had lots of glass and they took great care with everything.it was not a problem for them. I would definitely recommend them and I will use them again.

I was so please with how well the move went. I had some very large pieces and Chuck's employees handled EVERYTHING with competence and care. It was fine. They were very upfront about any additional costs that there might be and they were conscious of our time but I was ready for them. I had everything ready to go, so they got there, they did their thing, they moved us, they were out and they were done.
