Overall i was satisfied with the service i received. My AC unit went out that day i called Reliable Heating & Air and they came out that day. I was SOOO THANKFUL because it was HOTT!!! After coming out around noon Feddie discovered the my AC was frozen so he wasn't able to do anything. But assured me that i may be running low on freon which is why it was the AC was frozen. And had another person come out later that day after the unit defrosted. They also gave me some helpful tip on HVAC maintenance and informed me about their maintenance warranty. My only complaint was the prices although they seem fair. I wasn't happy for pay twice.

Anyway, back to Chris. Although we haven't yet decided which company will get our business, Chris didn't want to leave us over the weekend without A/C. First, he carried in a window unit. Unfortunately, none of the windows in the house could accommodate the window unit. Finally, Chris did some troubleshooting on our existing condenser and found some sort of bad relay which needed to be replaced to the tune of about $200. Chris said it doesn't make sense to invest in a repair for a system that will be replaced . On further reflection, he made the decision to do what he could to fix the relay for us. Ultimately, this terrific guy replaced our bad part at no charge to us! Let me repeat that -- at no charge! We haven't even decided which company we will select yet! That just blows my mind. I sure hope Chris doesn't get into trouble with his boss over this, but I am so happy with the outcome, I wanted to share my experience. Well, friends, unless I uncover something god-awful about this company, I believe that Reliable Heating & Air is going to get my business, thanks in no small part to Chris. And just a footnote about why Chris received a B grade for professionalism. He didn't use coveralls or shoe covers when he went in our crawlspace. He was filthy when he came out, so it made it a little difficult to find a place for him to sit. Not a big deal, but I believe in complete disclosure. I shared this feedback with him, so I don't think it will happen again.

The service tech called ahead, showed up on time, took care of all system checks and was really nice. He wore shoe coverings (to keep my carpets clean). This was impressive as I usually have to ask service people to take off their shoes. He also offered to help with control panel settings and refresh me with their advantages. I will always request this service technician! His name was Freddie Scott. Thanks, Freddie!

We called them because of no air working. They came out, replaced freon with hopes this was the end of the problem, but the coil was bad to. They were to order coil with part coming in the next week, air went out again, they had forgotten to place order but the came out with no charge to put freon in again. Our coil was just shot and it lasted only a day or two, so we had no air again for a day ... Sam came out today, very nice guy, sweet and professional. I liked this company.

Had Reliable out to the house for standard A/C maintenance. They were timely, thorough and professional so, I signed up for their yearly maintenance contract. Thus far... a very good experience. They made recommendations but did not push them. Told me what was important and what was not. Made minor repairs at no additional cost.

Excellent - on time and reasonable price

I think they do good work and did it very quickly. They did not do any follow up, so since they installed it, there has been no follow up. Not that any was needed, but it might have been nice to check on whether they did a satisfactory job. But it was okay. I think the price was fair. The owner himself came out and priced the job. They cleaned up after themselves very well. They left the site in good shape.

Reliable did a fantastic job before and during the installation. They gave us a competitive price, and they were extremely responsive to all of my questions as I was trying to decide which systems to install. They were able to use our existing filtration systems and one humidifier. They didn't try to sell us something we already had and didn't need. We upgraded to variable speed furnaces for both the upstairs and main floor, and we upgraded to a 16 SEER unit for the upstairs. The installation teams were amazing---they arrived on time, they were neat, very friendly, and explained everything before they left. They started at 9 a.m., and both systems were completely installed by 4 p.m. that same day. They told me that someone would come back to fully charge the AC system when it got warm enough, and they would also come back to replace the filters. The Trane systems are great, and quiet, with no glitches. They work like a charm, and the house is staying nice and cool. We are very happy with our air conditioning! However, I've been very disappointed with the follow-up since the installation. It has now been almost 6 weeks, and no one has come to QC or inspect the systems. No one has called to see if I had any questions or problems. And still no follow-up with the filters and/or to fully charge the coolant, even after I have reminded them at least three times via email since the installation that these things needed to be done. Most worrisome---we paid additional to upgrade to a 16 SEER system for our upstairs, as our power company was offering a rebate for replacement of systems that were more energy efficient. Upon review of the receipt, our EMC denied the rebate, stating that the system is not 16 SEER. I have requested a certificate of proof of the 16 SEER system at least three times from Reliable, but I've yet to receive it. It has crossed my mind that they haven't sent it because maybe the system isn't actually 16 SEER, but that's only speculation on my part. I believe that Reliable completely dropped the ball after the installation. I would have given them all A's based on the great service before and during the installation, but the follow-up just didn't justify it.

Like the Murphy's Law premise, one of our home's 11-year-old builders-grade air conditioning systems broke down during one of the hottest days of August. Since ORHP could not dispatch a repair service soon enough, I called Reliable Heating & Air. They immediately responded by having a service technician at my house within 24 hours of my request; Kevin promptly arrived on a Saturday without any delay. After he politely gave me the bad news about the magnitude of the breakdown of the AC system, I subsequently worked with Daniel Jape to determine the best course of action. I chose to replace the whole AC system rather than repair it. Daniel quickly gave me very reasonable pricing for suitable replacement options, and he scheduled me for a very timely installation. Chris and Chris (one nicknamed "Oilspill" or "Oilspot") arrived early Friday morning and expertly installed the Trane XL15i 3-ton system. They were courteous in their manner, meticulously thorough in their workmanship, and they performed a tidy install. From the very responsive initial service call by Kevin, followed by the expert consulting provided by Daniel, to the high-quality installation performed by Chris and Chris, my experience with Reliable Heating & Air was again excellent. I am very pleased and highly recommend Reliable Heating & Air to anyone seeking to repair, upgrade, or newly install any residential HVAC system.

Over the course of the last year, we interviewed and received quotes from several companies. Most tried to sell us on the merits of installing the most expensive system or one specific brand. We called Reliable after hearing a radio advertisement. Dan came to our home within a few days. He was, by far, the most experienced individual we met with. After carefully listening to our family's needs, Dan developed several heating and cooling options that would drastically improve the indoor comfort and energy efficiency that we were seeking. A top notch professional installation team secured the required permits and replaced our old system with the new one in one day. The entire team was courteous, responsive, and considerate. Clean up was perfect! The team leader spent time carefully explaining the operation of the system. We could not be happier with the results from start to finish. It is our pleasure to highly recommend Reliable Heating and Air.

The sales person was very knowledgeable and professional. He provided alternatives that helped me achieve my desired goals. He was upfront about items other providers quoted and recommended that he stated was not needed. Best price and for a better unit. He provided a very detailed proposal that was good for 30 days. Was able to schedule the install very quickly ( within a few days) after I accepted the proposal. The installers were very professional and timely. They were extremely neat and clean. They covered my hardwood floors in all walking paths and work areas. They cleaned up behind themselves each day. They kept me informed of their progress periodically. They explained what they were doing at the start of each day and provided a summary of activities at the end of the day. I had a 6 week old baby and they were sensitive to this while working and entering and exiting my home.

I have been their customer for a while now. They are coming next week for the spring tune-up on my air conditioning and heating system. They are excellent. It is $140 a year for two visits. They are timely. They do call ahead to let me know when they are coming within their time window. They are clean. They answer my questions. If there are any repairs to be made, they let me know and give me a written estimate. The people in their office are wonderful too. When it comes to their price, it's a great value for their service.

It was great overall. It was a hot day and the guy worked in the attic for a very long time and got the job done. I've used them for 6 years and I have a maintenance contract with them. They did good work when they replaced the furnaces and air conditioners.

All went as expected. Reliable agreed to send staff back out to work with the contractor and move ductwork as needed for construction. We haven't gotten that far yet, but I feel sure they will fulfill their commitment.

They have the warranty on my air conditioner and heater. There was no charge and I was most impressed with them. He came, found it, fixed it and said thank you. I really appreciated it. They are always on time.

It went awesome, from the sales presentation to the installation completion. Daniel, the salesman, was professional and knowledgable. He looked at my current system at the time, determined the size and efficiency and figured out where to put the PVC pipe for the new system. Then he gave me a quote and spent a little time explaining the functions of the new furnace and thermostat. It didn't take a lot of time, and it was very informative. He did a great job answering all my questions. When we decided to go ahead with the installation, they were able to schedule us in for the next day. Mike and Roberto arrived at the scheduled time the next morning. They worked quickly and efficiently and were done in about 5 hours. Mike did a good job installing the PVC pipe out to the side of our house. He made sure the cracks between the pipe and the house were well sealed. They thoroughly tested out the system after installation. Roberto explained how to use the programmable thermostat to me. The furnace area was cleaned up nicely after they were done. They didn't have any furnace filters that were the right size for our system on hand, so they temporarily used two smallers ones. The next day, they came by our house to put in the right sized filter and even left us an extra one. Overall, Mike and Roberto did a great job! We've been using our new system for a month now and absolutely love it. It is so much more quiet than our older 80% AFUE furnance.

The installers, Rob and Jamie, were very knowledgeable and thorough during the all day equipment replacement.

I didn?t spend anything since it was a warranty repair. The last job went fine. I purchased the central air conditioning unit from them 9 years ago. They gave me a warranty for it and they stood behind it. They do what they say they are going to do. I would use their services in the future too.

They didn't do a thorough job. they forgot to connect the gas line for one of my units. They took apart the gas line and simply left it disconnected. As a result, I didn't have any hot water for 4 days. When I mentioned it to them, they were in disbelief. It took them from Friday until the following Tuesday to actually repair it. No apologies or sense of urgency. If someone had turned the gas on from outside the house (at the meter), the house could have blown up!. They failed to remove some items promised (even after numerous calls), failed to install a conduit to protect exposed wiring, and they never left me a manual on programming the units nor did they offer to walk me through operating the new system. When they finally sent their technicians out, they didn't know why they were dispatched. They ended up having to wait for another truck to come by and deliver parts that they could have had with them had their dispatcher or back office informed them of the issues. Poor Service. They had exceptional professionalism, cleaned up everything, and had wonderful customer service. They were also very detailed in using the new system and thermostat. They were extremely professional, and their website was detailed and educational. It was very customer friendly.

We did not have a good experience with them. We got a second opinion and they said there was nothing wrong with the unit. Apparently the technician didn't do it correctly and instead of offering a second opinion they went right to the sales side of it. They were ready to send a salesman out to give us a quote for a $4,000 unit. The other person that came out said that the unit loses a little bit of freon every year and it just needed freon. Reliable didn't take that into consideration. They said they couldn't add freon because of a law and our unit is only 6 years old and they said the life is only about 7 years. I wanted our money back for the fall startup and after tense phone calls they finally refunded our money. It took about 6-8 weeks to get our money back. They ended up giving the money back for the whole year. The service tech was personable and everything; it was just the experience afterwards. The office people were not easy to work with and it took a long time to get the money back. We had to end up paying a second guy for the second opinion that said that nothing was wrong with the unit and we had never had any problems with the unit.
