A whole crew was here for 2 days. They replaced 2 heating and ac units, a furnace, and a steam humidifier. They were very good technically in planning it out. They executed the instillation very well. They were sensitive to our home and cleaned up after they left. They do follow up every 6 months and we are very pleased with too. The first year they give you 2 visits for fee on a service contract. They have been awesome.

Reliable contracted the work out to Daffy Ducts. These guys were great. They called to confirm the appt the night before and called the day of to give a time of arrival which helped out. They were in and out in under 2 hours. They worked around my dogs without an issue and were professional, polite and cleaned up the dust/dirt from the air ducts being blown out.

Called in early Saturday morning because no hot water in home just moved in. They agreed to send someone out late afternoon. Randy was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Thermocouple was bad and he quickly replaced. I the asked if he wd check one of the toilets that had a bad gasket on flushing mechanism (which I unsuccessfully had tried replacing already). Turns out this is one of those you need to have the same mfg part for it to successfully work. He didn't have the gasket on the truck and we agreed for him to swing by one day next week. It's this type of customer service that you don't always get. Would reuse this company again.

It was easy to schedule Reliable (Both the HVAC and Plumbing) staff to provide and estimate. They were ontime and professional. They took the time to listen to my needs and provided options based on these needs. I am renovating my house so obtained 3 estimates for each job from Angie's List contractors that were highly rated. Reliable provide the best price for the installation of the duel zone system by about $2,000. the installation was conducted 2 days after I received the quote. I made sure the three systems I looked at were comprarable in terms of system efficience and power. The staff was courteous, professional, and timely. Would highly recommend them. In addition, they offer a free 10 year parts and labor warranty. Hard to beat!!!

Reliable came out on a Sunday which was a plus because I needed to get the unit working as soon as possible. The AC unit was not working and the tech diagnosed and fixed the problem. I was impressed with the service provided.

Very pleased. We called on Sunday evening when we noticed some leaking and actually spoke to a "live Reliable person" not an answering service. With that one phone call, we were able to schedule the replacement for first thing the next morning. Jamie and Jaison provided excellent service and a job well done. Their workmanship was first class. They called as they were on their way, arrived promptly, went straight to work, and when done they turned off all lights, locked basement doors, and made sure my fence gate was locked to keep the dog in. Little things like that on top of a job well done made my day.

Gary Carter and Jason Thomason were punctual, friendly, professional, and completed the job in less time than expected.. They installed the new equipment, removed the old, acquainted me with the new system, and saved me some money by not replacing a serviceable part. I have used Reliable for years for heating and air conditioning and can highly recommend them.

Splendid. I am pleased with the work and appliances. No clutter, full explanation of working parts and warranties.

The price was middle of the road. The sales guy was, well, a sales guy. The installers were great. Unfortunately, the sales guy didn't relay to the installers exactly what we wanted. Fortunately, they came back out and moved ductwork to make us happy. Overall, great work. I'd say the only thing lacking was communication.

This unit replaced a lower level unit which I purchased from Reliable 13 years ago. The installation by Doug Byrne and his assistant, Jason Grant, was excellent. I have been a heating and air conditioner customer for 13 years. Services included semi-annual inspections, periodic repairs and the sale/installation of 2 other furnace/air conditioner units before the sale/installation on 9/9/13. Over the 13 years the services were mostly very good/excellent with an occasional poor experience.

We have a home warranaty service and someone came out on the Sat before Labor day...He repaired what he thought was the problem. 2 hours after he left, the air conditioner went out again and we again called the home warranty folks. As this was a holiday weekend and a sunday to boot, the asked us to call whomever we could get. We called Reliabe from the reviews on Angies list. This company has never serviced us, but were more than willing to assist us. My 87 year old mother lives with us and we needed to have the air fixed for her as she had just been released from the hospital. No questions were asked, a serviceman came out, diagnosed the problem and repaired the AC. We had called the folks that normally service us, but they declined due to the holday weekend. The serviceman from Reliable who came to the house was knowledgable, polite, prompt........and we will be moving our business to these folks. To take care of someone that is not a client of theres on a holiday weekend......what a company

The sales person came on time took his time looking at our system and explained what we would need and gave us a couple options for a standard model and a high efficency model. We went with the high efficiency model. The workmen came out the following week on time as scheduled. The guy went over what we they planned on doing, we had a small matter we had to straighten out about which model we were puttng in (paperwork mixup) no big deal... They professional answered all my questions and began installing. They were here for about 6 out so hrs., then came inside to explained how to program and use the new high tech thermostat. That was that, now my home is extremely cold all the time. Love it!

We had a disastrous visit with another company, and asked Reliable to come in. Tim, our sales guy, was delightful and extremely knowledgeable. He went all thru the house, checked out both units, and came back with a very fair quote and an Angie's list discount as well. They had to order the units, and immediately sent over a guy to install two window units the next day. the install was 3 or 4 days earlier than we expected. Two crews showed up and went right to work. They didn't stop until about 9 hours later, with both units up and running. We are so very very impressed. We will continue to use Reliable for regular maintenance, which also provides for a continuous and transferrable warranty. When we received a box of cookies that was the piece de resistance! very very customer service oriented to say the least. And they really know what they are doing.

The central A/C unit froze up and leaked some water out of the emergency drain pan. We called Reliable to have a look. Jeremy the Technician was able to come ahead of our scheduled appointment and gave me a 30 minute heads-up. He was very professional and didn't try to sell us anything that wasn't needed. He checked out the interior part of the A/C unit and everything looked fine there. He checked the outside unit and quickly discovered it was a contact that wouldn't release to shut the unit off when signaled from the thermostat. He gave me a breakdown of the cost to replace and also noted that the coils on the outdoor unit were extremely dirty. He clearly explained that the dirty coils were not responsible for the problem, but that it should probably be cleaned and offered an estimate on that. He actually slightly overestimated the cost of the replacement part, which is obviously preferred to underestimating it. I went ahead and authorized the repair and the cleaning, and as part of the service call he also checked out the shutoff switch in the emergency drain pan and determined the reason for the water damage was that the drain pan was not level in the attic. The weight of the unit on the drain pan didn't allow him to level the drain... he said they'd have to lift the indoor unit and that would be difficult. We decided to leave that alone for now. He checked and flushed the drain lines of the emergency pan and the indoor unit. Technician was very courteous, knowledgeable and able to answer questions. I would definitely recommend them in the future.

The technician arrived promptly; I had been given a window of time between 1 and 4PM. He checked both of my AC units and told me one was leaking freon. When I asked him which one, he couldn't tell me. He went outside and came back inside to check my equipment and told me one unit was leaking, then he changed his mind and said that the other unit was leaking and that I needed some freon and a new condenser coil and that the work would cost $1400 dollars. I asked him if Reliable would do the work in cooperation with my home warranty company. He said he would call and check. When he finished his call, he told me that they do not work with warranty companies. I said okay and that I would contact the warranty company because I was not prepared to pay this large an amount for repair work on a system that had been inspected in July of 2012. One of the units had a new condenser coil installed at that time prior to closing on the home. This is one of the reasons that I thought it was strange that the technician couldn't tell me which unit needed the coil. The technician then tried to charge me an inspection fee. When I questioned him about it, he said never mind because he forgot to tell me about this fee before he did the inspection. I had a service contract with the company that covered this. It turned out that the only thing I needed besides a small amount of freon was a cap for the outside unit. As a customer who purchased a service contract for one year, I felt that this technician was not sure of what he was doing or was trying to mislead me about the scope of the work needed.

Inspection and service was performed.

Dustin and Gary arrived on time and completed installation within estimated schedule. The system was cooling house when they left; Dustin explained how often to change furnace filter, demonstrated use of new thermostat. Old units taken away and everything cleaned up. No problem; team is very professional and experienced at installing products. Great job!

The crew arrived on time and got right to work. They installed the new duct work and cleaned up most of the construction waste. The system is working fine and I am satisfied with the job.

A whole house fan saves a lot of money, allowing A/C to be used much less often, especially during a cool summer like this one (2013). I did not know whether or not a typical HVAC firm could handle a burned out motor in the attic, so I called Reliable H&A instead of the firm with my maint. contract, Service Experts. Reliable H&A sent the right team out the first time, specialists in electrical problems. And they scheduled the work for first appointment in the morning when I said I could not accept a 4-hour window. They quickly diagnosed the problem, even though it was intermittent and not failing at that time, ordered the replacement motor according to specs. they discerned from the old motor, and installed it 3 days later. All is well now. Total cost was $475 after $25 Angie's List discount. I rated price only B only because I do not know how much all that should have cost, but the quick, efficient service alone was worth a lot to me so I am satisfied.

Overall, I am very pleased with the quality and service. I initially responded to a coupon on their website indicating that I could get a new air conditioner and furnace installed for approximately $2,500. Unfortunately my furnace is a down flow and sits on top of my air conditioner's coil so Reliable wasn't able to use that model. That found a comparable model and installed it instead, but it cost almost $2,000 more. I checked with another company that I had used and they confirmed that I would need a special model for my condo. The installer, Mike, was very professional and took care of everything in under a day. They even discounted my bill due to some work that did not need to be performed. My only complaint is with their automated system from their website ( a pop up that asks may I help you from a third party company). I contacted them several times to verify this was in the works and never got a response. When my first appointment came up, I called and was informed that because I called so late in the day (after I got home from work) that they were rescheduling. The next day they showed up anyways. I also had trouble getting a copy of my quote that was supposed to be e-mailed to me. It took 3 phone calls to get that. The first installation visit was a no-go. The equipment had been special ordered and somehow got mis-measured so they had to scrap that project and re-order. Again this appears to be in the communication between the person taking the quote and the person placing the order. They use Wi-Fi and place orders and communicate primarily through their tablets on site. There wasn't a very good follow-up initially as a result. It took approximately a month before everything was installed. I will say that they brought a window unit for me to use during the time; however, even though they had seen that I had sliding side -to -side windows, the unit was one for a window that pushed up and down and was not usable. I also ordered a cage since my neighbors new unit had been stolen last year. There was some delay and confusion getting it installed. Initially I was told it would be taken care of the day of the air conditioning installation but it did not happen until over a week later. The good news is that once I got someone on the phone I had a very good experience and the overall quality of the installation and equipment is above my initial expectations. Use this company and you will get 5 star results. But in my opinion by-pass the automated after hours "concierge" service. None of my messages were delivered to the main office in a timely fashion if at all, and I had to go through some red tape to get everything resolved because of it and missed an extra half day of work due to the scheduling issues. Once I got a person on the phone I had a very pleasant experience.

Mike, the technician, was very professional and tested the current system first before recommending a replacement. After his test, he recommended replacing my old unit with a new 1/3 HP system - similar to my old unit. I am happy with Mike's performance and professionalism. I plan to use this company again in the future.

Air conditioner stopped working so looked on Angies list for a local HVAC contractor with a high score to repair. Two of their technicians came out and on two separate visits said that the system needed to be replaced. A third person came out who turned out to be a sales person and said that the lowest price they could offer was $5800. A friend referred the issue to a local pig farmer who does handy man jobs on the side. He came over and looked at the system and found a number of wires that needed to be replaced. He charged $140 and now cold air is coming from the system.
