Reliable Heating & Air Plumbing & Electrical

JasonA and Josh did a great job with replacing our furnace. It was an extremely cold day for them to be out but they did the work quickly and efficiently. They were courteous and professional. Reliable even followed up with a gift for using their services. We would definitely use them again.

It was a good one. They have grown a lot. They follow through and are very knowledgeable. They have a good maintenance plan for the air conditioning system. The owner, Dan Jacobs came out to the house. Everybody that came out was top-notch in service. They did not muddy our carpet. They would call if they were going to be late. They were very reliable. He did not over sell anything that I did not need. He was very knowledgeable on air conditioning systems and what I needed to cool the entire house. They weren't the cheapest but, the value was good. This company is spectacular. I use them twice a year for maintenance.

Reliable installed a new Trane air conditioner and furnace in our home. They removed the 25 year old system and installed the new one the same day. The furnace closet also has the hot water heater in it, and it was a tight fit between the two new units. The Reliable plumber came out first and removed the old water heater and then came back the next day to install the new one the HVAC crew came back out to move the furnace over some to make everything fit. It took two days (HVAC day one and water heater day two) but that was simply because of the tight space in the furnace closet. Overall, not a big deal. The crew worked well, did a great job, and the new systems are working great - freezing A/C and hot heat and water which is great in this cold weather. Another crew came back a week later and cleaned all the ductwork. It too a couple of hours, but they got everything clean and got rid of all the dust and dirt in the system.

technician showed up, told me I had a Freon system and proceeded to check pressure. technician then advised me that the system was so low, he was unable to fill it up due to EPA regulations. He then proceeded to check my system for Freon leaks. He did not find any leaks, but his sensor did indicate Freon was present in the container that collects the condensate. Techician advised me that this was indicative of a leak in the coil in the inside unit and that the coil could not be replaced and that the entire air handling unit would need to be replaced for $2,200. Fortunately for me, I decided to get a second opinion. Had another individual come out the following day who looked at my system and told me that it was not Freon (it was r410a) and actually showed me where the outer unit indicated as much. The pressure was indeed low, so he checked the system for leaks with a 410a detector. No leaks were found, so he filled up the unit and advised that if I needed service again in the next 6 months, he would basically credit me for the money I spent to have the system checked and filled. I immediately called Reliable to discuss this situation with them, and they did offer to credit me for the service call they charged me for initially - this is the only good thing about my whole interaction with them.

Dustin and Garrett arrived on time and were very friendly. They finished in about 4 1/2 hours. They laid down tarps from my front door to the attic to protect my floors. System is working great. Would recommend them again!

It went fine. There were two men that completed the job. They cleaned the work area. They are very professional. They are one of the top companies known in this area. They returned a couple times to follow up.

Purchased "Works" package that included inspecting our furnace, water heater and plumbing. The technician recommended some fixes for a couple faucets that weren't working correctly. He did advise we do need to install breaker box since we're in an older home since we need to install some additional heating and cooling units. They will be coming back out to do that for us.

No service was provided because there was a 89.95 fee for a quote to be given. I think this is poor business. Most businesses do not charge for a quote!!

Once they diagnosed the problem it went fine. They were very good and included notes and pictures so the plumber who came out knew what was going on.

Very disappointed in Reliable. I have used Reliable for plumbing, heating and air and electrical. They put in a new furnace and air conditioning in May at my house. I've also used their electrical service and plumbing. My brother's heat was not working, so I recommended he call Reliable, since I had received such good and prompt service from them. He called and they came out to do an inspection and that cost $100. They thought they had determined what the problem was and ordered the part. My brother's heat pump is not a TRANE, so they did not have the part in stock. He was told it should be only a few days to get the part and they would call and schedule to come back do the repair. He called them, they did not call him, since it had been a week. He was told they were tracking the part, but it had not arrived. It took two weeks of calling and them telling him they had not received the part. Finally, he called again and they said they had received the part, but they were too busy and couldn't come out for another two days. When they finally came and put the part that had taken two weeks according to Reliable to arrive, it still didn't fix the problem. He is out over $700 dollars and still without heat for three weeks. I guess when you spend $10,000.00 + like I did, you get better service. When you aren't spending that much money, you aren't that important to Reliable and can shiver in the cold until they have time to put you on their schedule. I certainly will NEVER recommend them again.

Wayne Daniels, the technician, was terrific. He was thorough and took the time to answer all my questions. I've used Reliable for many years and have always been impressed with the team, from the office staff through the technicians. I've almost always had a good experience. The one time that I didn't, I let the office know and they immediately corrected the problem.

Taylor Dean and Victor Croft came out and did a great job! They did their best to fix our broken water heater, but it was too old. So they replaced it with a new one. They did it in a very timely manner and took the time to explain the process and the new water heater to me. They also checked on the water pressure and a leak for no extra charge while they were here.

They are great. They are like their name says. I will continue to use them.

Takes them forever to schedule a call. Three weeks to get them out for the initial call. Two days for the most recent one when I didn't have any heat in the house. Appointment windows are 5 hours long. I leave numbers for them to call ahead and they either fail to call or call when they're in the driveway. I'm aggravated about paying for three separate trip charges to fix problems they either caused themselves or should've detected in the biannual maintenance visit.

They are very nice and thorough. I would recommend them.

Reliable arrived on time. Other companies typically spent 20-30 minutes in estimating process, Reliable took over 90 minutes. The reason, Reliable was constantly answering cell calls on one particular prior customer unsatisfied with their work. Calls from plumbers who performed the job, receptionists, etc. and the customer himself. Not exactly a good sales pitch to a potential customer!. After that was all said and done - estimate for our job never received. To be fair, we called after one week as a follow up to receive the bid and told it was on the way. Again, never received and another week later, requested it again since originally Reliable was preferred vendor because of their proximity and seeing their service vehicles around frequently in our area. So after 15 days, Reliable was eliminated from our candidate list. We guessed a 4-5 hour plumbing job for $5000 fee was just something Reliable didn't want to do. We don't ever perceive a time in our future we'd ever recommend Reliable to anyone.

Even though Reliable's bid was the lowest, on an apples to apples comparison, they were doing the same work with equal equipment and materials as two other bidders. Both sales and installers were responsive, punctual and kept me informed about the installation. The installers were Jeremy and Tyler and they arrived early in the morning as scheduled and did and excellent/professional job. As it turned out replacing the plenums was more involved than had been estimated and they took care of it per the agreement without additional charges. The supply plenum in particular was a work of art given what they had to work with from the existing ductwork. They had to return for several hours the next day to finish up due to the involved setup, and were again on time and let me know how things were going. Everything was cleaned up and left undisturbed (radon barrier still intact). Great work boys!

They did a great job. Due to the time lags they actually brought room air conditioners in every room and hung them out of the windows until they could get here to do the work. It was excellent customer service. Anybody could install an air conditioner but they were on time, every time and they met my needs, in fact they anticipated my needs and I appreciated that because I was out of the country when this happened and they understood that it really needed to happen right then. The cost was my choice. I chose to go with an upgraded unit, they could have done it in a lower cost but I wanted some of the bells and whistles that went with the unit I got. They were responsive, they were on time, and we didn’t have to wait for them. Nobody else could meet my needs but they were here, gave me the estimate and came when I asked them to come. I have recommended them to other people.

$586 included service for detection of leaks and the installation of a new Kohler toilet and the cost of the toilet. Pedro Portillo did a beautiful job checking for leaks after we received a very high water bill. Found that the water meter dial was not turning, the water pressure to the house was below the normal rate, replaced flappers in all toilets just in case as had found very slight leakage, did meter readings four days apart and discovered very little water usage thought had used washing machine and dishwasher during that time. Just 2 adults in the home. Pedro was courteous and quite knowledgeable, and left the bathrooms extremely clean after installing the first new toilet, then another new toilet in another bathroom. The cost of the purchase and installation of the second new toilet was lower than the first. We have a contract with Reliable, and we will always ask for Pedro when we need plumbing services!

Everything went great. Very professional and personable. Everything is still running fine. Pricing was affordable.

The Reliable service man showed up ahead of the scheduled time. He was very professional and very friendly. He assessed the problem and completed the job promptly. I was very pleased with his work. My main issue is with the cost of the repairs, which totaled $498. First, Reliable charges a $90 service charge. They do not credit this charge to the total bill if you have them perform services. Secondly, to replace two short lengths of PVC pipe it cost just over $400. I was surprised by this cost relative to about 20 minutes of actual labor. I was expecting it would be about $200-$250. For this reason alone, I would be hesitant to use Reliable's plumbing services again. Next time, I'll try to look for a plumber who at least credits the service charge if I pay for actual services, and I'll ask for examples of costs from similar, previous jobs so I'm not as surprised.

Found water pouring from garage ceiling Saturday morning at 6 a.m. We have a plumber we have used in the past but did not think he worked weekends so thought of reliable since we were so happy with the service they provided on a hvac replacement last year. Went to the website and had an online chat to schedule an appointment. They scheduled the appointment and called when they were on the way. Did an excellent job, very professional and efficient. We dill definitely use them in the future.

My technicians were Raul Ram, Bobby Lee, and Trey Jackson. They did a fantastic job. They worked diligently throughout the day, put drop cloths throughout the house, installed both systems, removed the old systems, and cleaned everything up completely. All work was completed within the day, and then they showed us the new systems and instructed us on how to maintain and operate them. I cannot praise this company and crew enough. They responded quickly to our needs, provided a very competitive price, and the installation was flawless. I wish all projects and installations went this smoothly.

Excellent due to Sam Howell, Technician. We have been using Reliable for 15 years. We have been using Sam Howell for 3 years. Reliable is only as good as their technicians and Sam Howell is a gem. Sam is technically outstanding, prompt, reliable, honest, and a great person.
