Reliable Heating & Air Plumbing & Electrical

Reliable did a great job from start to finish. Their salesperson (Forest) came out on time and explained in detail what type of system was recommended and answered all of my many questions. We quickly scheduled an installation date and their service team (Gary, Mark, Dustin and Garrett) arrived in a timely manner on the date of service. They were all very professional. After installing the system, they still took the time to help explain how the thermostats worked. They even laid materials to protect the carpet and wore shoe covers to protect all flooring. We had been using another provider for years, but have switched and will use Reliable for ongoing maintenance.

Awful. They replaced an expensive unit THEY had been servicing that happened to brake down just when the waranty expired. The new unit was installed with the drain line upside down. This was done while we were gone for 2 weeks. The teck did not check drain line before he left. We came home to 2 weeks worth of water damage effecting our garage, music studio & art studio are ... our work space. It took 4, yes, 4 tecks each fixing something ... more water ... Atlast a teck came & noticed the drain installed upside down. There's not enough room to write up the fix it to our home process. Less than 1 year later service lights on, not working, & April Air website leads up to believe they MAY have installed an improper unit for our home. During this mess we had a teck come out to do tune -ups on our units. This young guy says "Oh, you have an energy effecient model. You know you can turn the ac down as low as you want & it won't effect your bill" Seriously ... we told him that's just not true. He said " Look I'm not here to argue with you. This is my job & I know what I'm talking about." Reliable was to comp this service. The teck & company insisted we pay "top $" for the filter changes. What we paid would be = to the service special. Reliable has absolutely proven: They have install & service tecks that don't know what they are doing. Their insurance company strong armed us into a settlement less than our damages. One year later, still trying to put things back in order & the less than 1 year old unit is lit up with service call lights & not working. Reliable in UNRELIABLE. You are taking a big chance that a teck is not doing the best service for you & you may not know it till something brakes. Though they do have great install guys .... they have atleats 5 that should't step foot in your home and don't seen to care much about it. It's a nightmare if you need them to fix a serious problem.

To ensure cooling, the technician bypassed the relay and ordered another relay. Relay was ordered, received and replaced within a few days. Technician was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional.

We originally wanted the four toilets looked at with a view to replacing stop valves and installing new bolts (between water tank and toilet bowl). Ron Elrod provided advice and pricing options for a variety of configurations of repairs and new toilets. We decided on 4 new replacement toilets and of course the nearly broken down water pressure valve had to be replaced as well. Surprisingly Reliable was able to do all the work same day and Roy and Scott Christian worked 6 hours straight to finish the job at 8:00 PM. All throughout 100% professional and courteous; competent and considerate of our cat, our floors and carpets. Answered all our many questions and gave us lots of unprompted helpful tips and explanations. A thoroughly impressive performance and I would highly recommend the services of Reliable Heating & Air. We have been satisfied customers of the HVAC core business for over a decade and we are glad that they offer plumbing services as well now.

I spent $9000. They installed a condenser, air handler and I had a supply and return duct work added to a bonus room that I'm adding to the house. They were competitive in pricing and the company was up front and professional.

They are coming this May for the spring check up. The check up was free because it was part of the contract. I gave them a review before and I gave them top ratings. They were responsive for my Fall check up and came out as scheduled so let?s see if they will do that for my Spring check up too. The service was free because it was part of the installation, it's a two years contract.

Jermaine was prompt, courteous and fixed the problem very quickly. He explained the issue in detail and also let me know how he was going to fix it. I would recommend this provider and technician to anybody in need of A/C service.

Provider was very professional. He diagnosed the problem and repaired my furnace. Because I helped him some with the job he did not charge me the full amount of the bill. I will use this provider for HVAC maintenance.

My original [builder grade] pressure regulator failed after only two years; pressure reaching internal fixtures was near 100psi, and had caused a leak. Thomas repaired the leak and identified the regulator as the root cause. As ALWAYS, prompt, courteous, professional service. I use Reliable for ALL my H&A, plumbing and electrical needs—they're just what their name says!

I contacted them through Angie's List, asked them to come look at my a/c condenser. They called me right away and came out a couple of days later, when they said they would. Unfortunately, they couldn't fix my antique condenser. So I'm looking at buying a new one from them. They may not have the lowest price on a service call, but you get what you pay for.

Professional work with a minimum of time & very likeable personnel.

I had both my furnace & A/C unit replaced & I couldn't be happier. The installation was promptly completed. I've been very happy with the system as well. My power & natural gas bills have decreased due to the more efficient systems. They have now been out twice for the annual Spring & Fall maintenance & the service rep was very professional. I would absolutely recommend them to my friends & family. My B rating for the price is only because it was a very costly expense. Of course I would have preferred a lower bill.

They actually have lived up to their name. One of the two toilets is still running, but I'm not sure if it's the one they fixed or a different one. They just charged me the service fee because I have a service agreement with them. I would use them again.

Pleasure dealing with Mike (Electrical Manager) and Terry (Lead Member of crew that came to our house). Reliable gave us a fair deal for the electric work done at our house. Terry and his crew came on time and worked diligently to ensure the lighting in our house was installed properly. They were all professional and did not cut corners. For a major job, the peace of mind that Terry and his crew gave us was as valuable as the work they performed. We would use them again in the future.

The furnace when out following the addition of a gas line for a new cooktop. The initial hope was that replacing the thermal-couple would resolve the problem. It did not, so we called Reliable as a second opinion. They reviewed the unit and provided us with two options, replace the gas valve or replace the unit. He advised that we did not need a large fancy unit, since it services the main level, and he could not guarantee there would be continued repairs on the original unit. So, we choose to replace the unit on a Thursday morning, and the NEXT day they were on time ready to install the furnace. They were done before Noon that day! Reliable will be my first call when help is needed.

They were very professional and explained what they would be doing. Worked quickly and without any distractions, such as personal cell phone calls. I have had service people spend their entire time working on the phone. Explained what was done and went over instructions and care of the unit and new thermostat. Arrived on time and finished earlier than expected. Jeremy C and Tyler B were outstanding. Would recommend them. Note: I had used Reliable in the past and it was not pleasant, see old review. Glad I gave them a second chance!

Alex Pelaez came out prior to the service to provide a quote on the air duct cleaning as a home air filter/purification system. He was very professional and provided a lot of information in an easily understandable language. Alex also took the time to address my other issues such as air comfort which was not under his Team. He went out of his way to the point of coordinating a visit from the air comfort Team to look at my door/window weather stripping. Alex went above and beyond meet all of my needs. His Team, Alex Hinojosa & Randy Rutledge, provided excellent service when they came out for the cleaning The laid out tarps and wore shoe covers without being asked, we have new wood floors so it was nice to have someone care about your home. Before starting they explained step by step what would happen. During the work, Alex H and Randy were efficient and let me know if there were any issues. Afterwards they cleaned up any mess and recommended 2 vents being replaced. Would recommend having your ducts cleaned. There really is a difference, also would recommend Alex and his Team, Alex H and Randy. We will get back to Alex P when we are ready to purchase the Air filter and purification system. He and his Team really show what excellent service can be.

First off, we wanted a Rheem Tankless Water Heater but they recommended the Eternal GU100 stating that it was superior, had a "good track" record and came with a 15 year solid warranty. The installation was completed in late 2012. Everything worked fine until early 2015. We noticed that gradually, the water was becoming less and less hot and ultimately came out "lukewarm" from the bath faucet. So, I contacted Reliable. Two serviceman came out, one "experienced" and the other was "in training." The experienced one repeatedly told me that "tankless" water heaters were not his area of expertise and that it was normal for the water to come out colder because the "weather was cold and the pipes are underground." I responded that even during the big snow storm, the water came out hot and only recently it has not. He then told me that the water pressure requirements for the shower was half a pound higher than that of the faucet for the tub. I responded that his comment made no sense. Other homes, weren't having problems and our problem was recent. What was really disappointing was that he didn't even want to come into the house to check and feel the water as it came out of the faucet. Finally, the serviceman "in training" volunteered to check it out. He did and told the "experienced" serviceman that I was telling the truth and something was wrong. Only then did the "experiened" serviceman come in, but made a face and scoffed that he never heard anything like this in his experience. After checking himself, he did admit that I was telling the truth and told me he was going to contact the "expert" at Reliable who "knows everything" about Tankless Water heaters. Reliable has only one guy who specializes in this and his name was Rod. Well, Rod showed up and did come into the house to check it out. He spend alot of time on the phone consulting with someone. He concluded and told me that he would make a "report" to Chris, his manager. He assured me that Reliable would take care of this and I would be satisfied. Two weeks passed and I heard nothing from Chris despite emails and phone calls leaving messages. Finally, my wife got in touch with him. Chris informed her that we must of broken the unit since the setting was at 125 when "everyone knows it should be at 120." My wife responded that Reliable installed and setup the unit and we did not make any adjustments. He insisted that it was our fault and he could not do anything about it unless we wished to purchase another unit. My wife informed him that the unit was still under warranty. When she informed Chris that she felt it was Reliable's reponsibility to fix the unit, Chris responded, "you're crazy" and hung up. About one week later, we got a called from Reliable asking if we wanted to have them send another repairman out. My wife asked what would they do differently but was only told they would evaluate the unit. My wife responded that Reliable has been out twice and refused to fix anything despite the warranty. My wife was told, "fine, suit yourself. we tried." My wife was so upset that she contacted Eternal to complain. Eternal was very helpful and informed us that we did not have to use Reliable but the cost of performing a diagnostic by another qualified plumming and gas expert would be "out of pocket." We hired Tom from Guardian Plumming. Tom was great, he spent roughly 3-4 hrs on the phone w Eternal support. After performing all the diagnostic tests that Eternal suggested. Eternal concluded that our unit was defective and are sending us a new one. All our HVAC and plumming in our home was done by Reliable. We cancelled all of our "service agreements" with Reliable and if anything goes wrong, I will not waste anymore time with them. After the lack of service and committment from them, I would rather pay "out of pocket" for a qualified vendor/service expert than rely on Reliable. I've learned my lesson and I'm not expecting any resolution from Reliable. I feel that they are simply not capable. The purpose of my post is that I want to warn other potential customers to beware of Reliable and avoid the costly mistakes I made doing business with them.

We've used Reliable several times over the last 3 years. They have installed a new HVAC system in our home, a new water heater, installed our gas stove, installed our dishwasher, replaced all of our lighting fixtures inside and out + 3 ceiling fans, replaced all plumbing fixtures, wrapped our pipes with insulation, and they maintain our HVAC twice a year. Today, they installed our front loading washer/dryer combo. We had four technicians today; Glenn and Matt installed the new rigid duct work, and Tyler and David upgraded the outlet to current code, installed the proper cord and installed a whole house surge protector. All four gentleman were on time, extremely knowledgeable, very courteous, and the jobs came in on quote, as always. We plan on using Reliable again for insulation/crawlspace encapsulation in the next couple of months. We've never regretted calling on Reliable, because as their name says, they are RELIABLE and they stand by their work. And kudos to Tiffany in the main office who is an excellent representative, always helpful and friendly whenever we need something done. Thank you Reliable!

It was excellent. Couldn't have went any better. They were very professional. I also had a little issue and they were right on top of it to fix it.

Installation was scheduled and completed promptly. HVAC technicians that installed the new system were very professional and courteous, and showed my wife and I how to use and properly maintain the system. Technicians removed all old materials and left job site clean, and ensured that the new system functioned properly before they left. They also programmed a new thermostat that installed for our basement zone (heat pump system) so that it would work properly as a courtesy (i.e. at no additional charge). I completely trust Reliable Heating and Air for all of my HVAC installation and maintenance needs, and I would highly recommend them!

The technicians were at my home for about 2 hours; they completed the work in a reasonable amount of time; provided thorough description of work performed; the finished job was substantially LESS expensive than my original estimate since one part of the proposed work proved not to be necessary. I was very satisfied with all aspects of their work. They were courteous, professional, and helpful.

The job went great. The technicians Dustin and Garrett did a phenomenal job. They showed up on time and informed me of the work that would be taking place and how long it would take. They were extremely friendly and informative throughout the job. I give the two of them a ton of credit because the landscaping of the duct work in my home was not an easy one. The new layout looks great. Looks like quite professional and I do believe this new unit and zoning layout will certainly help the resell value of my home. Because of the expertise and quality of work Dustin/Garrett did, I fully intend to give my annual HVAC maintenance work to Reliable Heating & Air. I will also recommend them for related work to all of my acquaintances.

Just had both of my HVAC units replaced and my experience was Excellent. Very smooth, quick and painless. The crew worked very hard and efficiently on this install. Special shout out to the whole team: Lee in Sales; Lee did a good job of explaining the technology and ensuring client satisfaction. Jorge the Lead Install engineer; Jorge was a fantastic lead and his experience and client services attitude was exemplary. Harold, Shaw and Jessie were focused at the tasks at hand yet always when I passed them checked to make sure I was cool with what they were doing and always asked for my input. Overall from the top down to the bottom up Reliable is a great brand with a solid culture of professional caring individuals. Keep up the good work!
