MC Granite Countertops

Description of Work: Installed granite countertops in my kitchen. The team did a great job although the project took a few hours longer than expected. The install team wasn't aware they'd have to fit the granite around existing tile and had to spend a lot of unplanned time cutting around it. All in all they did a really nice job and I'm very happy with the countertops. My biggest regret was that they didn't guide me through the process more when they learned I was a first time granite buyer. Not being better prepared to handle the plumbing changes in the sink ultimately cost me another week (with no functional sink) and another $900 simply to redo sink plumbing. Had I been better informed, I could have avoided a huge headache and costs.

Description of Work: They measured and installed granite for my laundry room. They patiently allowed me to look for hours at their granite selections which I greatly appreciated. The granite and service were great. The young men who installed it did a nice job. The person who measured for it also did a wonderful job as it was not an easy measure and there were cutouts for washer faucet access etc. Across from the washer/dryer they installed granite for a desk. I love my laundry room now. | |We were so pleased with them that we then contracted to have granite replaced in a section of our kitchen. In the end because of trying to match existing granite in the rest of the kitchen we decided not to proceed with that project for the following reasons: 1). the granite was not an exact match to what is presently in the kitchen (we looked all over Atlanta and it's just not available) 2). they had a different type of ogee edge than on the existing granite 3). their seam locations would have been different than we have presently and wanted to duplicate. We have every confidence that it would have looked great had it been a better match but when the measure was done the technician explained what was possible to do in more detail. The challenge was to replace a cracked sink from a previous installation, (different vendor), that would have involved replacing granite in a section of the kitchen. I would recommend MC Granite because I think they earnestly try to please their customers and will tell you if they do not think something will look right that you had planned to do, their prices are fair and they allow you to look as long as you want at their granite selections. They also have some harder to find granite and are always getting new things in to keep up with current trends.

Description of Work: They had a large selection of granite and were very helpful. Arrangements for making the template and then the actual install were made easily. The installers were very experienced and did an excellent job.

Description of Work: I telephoned McGranite for an appointment to get quote for Granite for kitchen. I was told that someone would call me back. After not hearing back from them in 3 days I called again and left another message with a same person. Still no response. I then called back a 3rd time and asked the same person if they were looking for new customers and if so why no return call for appointment. Person on the phone was unresponsive and showed no interest in my business.

Description of Work: We bought a new house and the undermount sink was loose. They repaired it and did a great job. They responded very quickly and got a service guy out here within a couple days which was a big relief because I had gotten tired of waiting for my regular contractor to handle it.

Description of Work: Great pricing; great job; nice people. They installed granite countertops in my kitchen. From the moment you select the granite, they are prompt, and you can have countertops installed in as little as two weeks. I recommend them highly.

Description of Work: Great to work with. Initial installers were 2 hrs late said due to accident. Piece didn't fit properly so had to reschedule. No charge to recut a very large piece. Second install went perfectly. Countertops are beautiful.

Description of Work: I needed an extra hole in my existing granite countertop for a water filter. Three men showed up on time and completed the work in 20 minutes. Couldn't have been more pleased.

Description of Work: They promptly returned my call and made an appointment to fix my undermount sink that had slipped down from the granite countertop. The sink had not been properly installed several years ago and had slipped (MC Granit did NOT do the installation). I've talked to other granite companies who did not want to do this kind of repair. MC Granite not only fixed the sink but also sealed the countertop. Everything now looks like new. I'm very satisfied with their quality service, professionalism and expertise. I plan to use them in the future.
