MC Granite Countertops

Horrible and completely unprofessional... Wish -5 Stars was possible!!! 4/8/22 - We are so disappointed by MC Granite Countertops! They outsourced our granite countertops installation job for an entire house with 4 bathrooms, 8 sinks, a large kitchen with a huge island to inexperienced PAINTERS, not countertop installers by trade! Besides the installers admitting being a young company, they also shared how they just started working with MC Granite. The installation job was a nightmare!!! We paid for 4.5 inch backsplash throughout the home; only the kitchen had a 4.5 inch backsplash. The rest of the house was either 4 inches or 3.75. Some backsplashes had gaps at the bottom. They failed to drill the 4th hole for the soap dispenser in the kitchen despite seeing the fixture needing to be installed. The dishwasher was not installed properly which left it protruded and tilted. Additionally, at the joints, the backsplashes were either unleveled in which one side was higher than the other or backsplashes were chipped at the corners. They used caulk to fill in the chipped corners of the backsplash, but it only made it worse because the caulk is heavily applied and the chips are still visible. We wanted a clear caulk, but they used DAP clear that doesn’t dry clear. Now, we have white caulk throughout, which doesn’t match the granite countertops. Here’s the best part, they left all their trash in our backyard: old countertops, water bottles, other debris. The caulk job around the sinks was so messy that we tried to remove some of the globs ourselves. They didn’t even bother to clean up the countertops or surrounding areas within the home. Who’s going to clean up this mess? Over the years as a real estate investor fixing and flipping other properties, we have never had such a poor granite countertop installation. We paid quite a bit of money only to receive a shoddy job; we are so terribly disappointed. In summary… *We were told that installation would take 3 hours. Instead, it took them 8 hours, and still they were not done. *Trash left in the yard (old countertops, water bottles, other debris). *Messy caulk job at the sinks; no clean-up of the countertops or surrounding areas. Debris was left on the floors throughout the house. *Backsplashes were to be 4.5 inches, received 4 inches or less. *Used DAP clear (not commercial grade), which is not clear. Leaves a milky white color throughout, which doesn’t match the granite countertops. *Some backsplashes have chips on the corners, gaps at the bottom, or uneven at the joints. They used caulk to conceal the chips on the corners, but it only made it worse because the caulk is heavily applied and the chips are still visible. *Failed to drill the 4th hole for the soap dispenser in the kitchen despite seeing the fixture needing to be installed. *Installed the dishwasher incorrectly leaving it protruded and tilted. 4/10/22 - Today, we discovered additional chips in the master bath backsplash, plus none of the caulking was completed. We have emailed, text, and left voice messages numerous times. On our 5th attempt, Shawn Smith decided to answer his phone. He didn’t even bother to acknowledge the numerous messages. It was not a sense of urgency to have a resolution. We explained the need to have the trash at least removed because of an HOA violation. Instead, we’re told that it may be Tuesday, and it was Saturday. Really? Instead, we’re told that it may be Tuesday 4/12, and it was left Friday 4/8. Four days of trash in our unfenced yard that's visible to the neighborhood, Really? We had no choice but to haul to the landfill ourselves and to pay the necessary fee. We are disputing charges. Would you hire such a company?

Whole process went well. I'm very happy with the results.

It went really well. They were professional throughout the process. We met with Bryant in the showroom who assisted us right away and showed us all of the options for countertops and explained the process. We then scheduled a date for the measurements and then the installation. The counters were scheduled to be installed on Monday, 9/11, the day Hurricane Irma hit the metro Atlanta area and not only did they come to our house and install that day in the midst of the rain, they were here two hours earlier than expected! They installed the countertops in a few hours time, and made the process easy for us. Thanks for the great work and punctuality!!

Our experience with MC Granite could not have gone better! We very highly recommend them to anyone looking for new countertops. We loved their huge granite yard and showrooms and felt seeing the big slabs in person really helped with our decision. Cliff answered all my questions from the beginning and made the whole process so easy. In fact, he and every other employee we dealt with - from the lady answering the phone, to the guy who took measurements for our template, to the installers - every single one was as nice as could be while also being very professional. And to top it off, the price was less than we budgeted for! We are absolutely thrilled with the end result and plan to use them again for our bathroom vanities.

They came out when they said they would and the work they did was excellent.

The salesperson Cliff was very nice and knowledgeable about the products they sold. He was very helpful during the sales process and assisted in setting up the dates for both the final measurements and the install date. On the Friday afternoon which the install was supposed to occur I found it odd that I had not heard anything so I called the office. I was informed that something had happened with my order and they would need to get back with me as to if they could still do the install. Given that nobody from the office called me back, I called approximately every half hour from 3 PM until 8 PM when they stated they would arrive at 10 PM to begin the install. They finally arrived at 10 PM and the crew was very professional. They were able to rip out the old countertops and get the new ones installed just before 1 AM on Saturday morning. When they contacted me regarding final payment I requested a discount given that I had to make so many calls plus I was delayed getting the install done until way late in the night. I was simply offered $75 off a total of approximately $2650. Given the number of times I called and followed up, you would have thought they would value my business more than just giving a $75 credit. So while I am pleased with the salesperson and the finished product, their customer service when it comes to follow up and keeping customers informed is VERY poor.

Order, measure and install all went fine. Measurement was taken a week before installation.

My wife and I made visits to 3 granite locations in the Alpharetta, Kennesaw and Acworth areas. We knew we were going with MC Granite. We were impressed with the selection on granite they have. Sales staff was very nice. Scheduling and work was smooth. I was worried about my current backsplash chipping or breaking upon old countertop removal. Not one crack. These guys are great. Very happy with the outcome.

Great job! professional and punctual from start to finish.No high pressure sales to up-sell. Did exactly was we wanted done. We had a small detail of the job we didn't like ,expressed it to the owner, he compensated us to our satisfaction. Very good experience all around. I'd recommend them to family and friends and I would use them again and again.

We shopped around a lot until we found MG Granite. Just when we were about to go with another provider we decided to stop by and see what they had. We were blown away!! Shane at MG was so helpful from the moment we walked in, their selection is huge, and their prices beat everyone else by FAR. We are so happy that we got quotes from other places first so when we got our quote from MG we knew we were getting a great deal. We were even able to upgrade the sink and get an upgraded edge, and it was still much cheaper than any other place we had gone to. Install was very quick, they had completely finished the entire process in less than a week from our visit to their location. It looks amazing, we couldn't have asked for better quality or workmanship. Looking forward to working with MG in the future when we get to do our bathroom!

I've used MC Granite twice now, and both times have been so impressed by the customer service, the professionalism of the representatives....every step of the experience has been positive. Yesterday during my install, there was a problem with the size of the bathroom vanity I'd chosen--after the under mount sink went in, there wasn't enough room for the faucet to be installed property. Long story short, MC Granite removed the counter, didn't charge me for the granite or the sink, and I'm going to have them re-install the granite with a vessel sink next week. They were extremely helpful and sympathetic and went out of their way to make me a happy customer. I would recommend them to anyone. Their prices are excellent, and they are the nicest people besides.

With an Angie?s rating of ?A? we felt assured that we would be dealing with a quality firm. Big Surprise, their customer service is absolutely terrible! We had worked with the project manager Cliff Dodelin and MC Granite had scheduled the install of our granite countertops for the afternoon of April 23rd. I was told to expect them between 1 and 3 PM. By 3 PM no one had shown up and I had not received any calls indicating a delay. I called Mr. Dodelin and informed him of the situation, he stated he would look into it and would call me back shortly with an update. After receiving no response by 4:30 PM I called Cliff again asking when I should expect the installers to arrive. Cliff would only say ?you are on the schedule for today?. At 7:45 ?Julio? called and informed me that they were loading the truck. It was almost 9:00 PM when the installers finally arrived and it was after 10:30 PM when they completed the install. Given that they did not return any of my calls and wasted a full day of my time with delays in providing the service they had sold me I would give this Firm an F for customer service and would advise other customers to beware in their dealings with them.

Ordering the granite was easy, we were able to pick our slab from their yard. By far the most affordable prices in the Atlanta area, we shopped around quite a bit. They came as scheduled to measure the area and came on time to install. The countertops are gorgeous and we couldn't be more pleased!

I had viewed their prices online, so when I called I knew what I wanted and didn't visit the shop. I got a quote emailed to me promptly and was able to schedule everything right away. On the day, the template-maker arrived promptly, was very fast and professional, answered all my questions. I was very impressed. Two days later the installers came. They missed their scheduled time and were about an hour late without calling, but the installation went smoothly and professionally. The seam was perfect and almost invisible. The fit was great. We are very happy and plan to use them again in the house we just bought. Their prices were very good and almost half of Big Home Improvement Retailer.

Initially I chose MC granite because of the nicely designed and informative web site. After arriving and speaking with the owner Luciano I chose my granite to be cut into a 36 inch beveled cut on two corners bathroom vanity top. During our initial interaction there were two pieces of granite which had similar names that I liked. I chose a piece of granite and asked Luciano if he would walk with me outside to allow me to clarify which of the two types I would like in effort to minimize confusion. It was at this time he jokeingly told me "I'm the owner and your the only one who is confused". I was not impressed with this comment although he tried to appear as if his comment was made in jest. I picke out my granite, paid a half down deposit and was informed I could return the following Saturday. I returned and paid the remaining balance only to get the granite counter top and two back spashes home to notice the bevel cuts were NOT polished and had a hazy look to them. I also noticed the sides of the back splash pieces had a hazy look to them as well. On the very end corner of one back splash piece of granite a noticable chip existed. I was very dissapointed. I also noticed the edge of the bevel cut on the counter top was not straight. It looked as if someone nocked the edge off with a polishing tool or other. I called Luciano and explained everything I had found. He apologized and assured me he would take care of it immediately if I brought it back. I explained it was a 45 min. minimum drive to come back but I would. When I returned with the items I purchased he said to me "you'll be very happy with it when you pick it up, because it'll look perfect". I called just before I returned to pick the vanity top up and back splashes and asked Luciano if it was ready. He informed me yes they are ready. I said 'great' how do they look. He said "i dont know but let me go check". He then said everything was fine. I returned to notice the bevel cut was shiny and had a straight edge. I could not observe the back splash sides which also looked hazy due to insufficient lighting, but the chip had been repaired. After I arrived home I noticed the sides were STILL hazy. It appeared someone had still not made corrections. Poor quality control. I am tired of driving way out to his business only to be dissapointed. I'll take the pieces to someone else to finish the back splashes. The job was initially poor with quality control, afterwards despite my willingness to be patient in hopes Luciano's business would make it right I was greatly dissapointed. Beware of quality if you patronize this business.

They have great prices for high quality granite. They were on time and reliable.

It just doesn't get any better than this. I priced out 10 different companies in the Atlanta area for granite. MC Granite was the best price with the best customer service. They scheduled me for templates for one week and installation the following week. Both appointments they were on time. They completed my granite installation without incident. After our granite arrived, my husband decided he didn't like what we chose for the bathroom. MC worked with me on price and set an installation date for the NEXT DAY! I have already referred one of my friends to MC Granite and will continue to do so in the future!

I really like the finished product, especially my huge kitchen island. The granite people worked very efficiently. They were reasonably accommodating when I had to reschedule the installation because I wanted to have the raised bar on my kitchen island cut off so I could have an one-level island. At one point, I thought the island was too big so was considering not to have overhang. The owner Luciano convinced me to keep the overhang. I am so glad I did. It looks so good and I have so much space for people to sit around. I love it! Another thing I like is their price. I like the way they list the square foot price on their website. You can sort of estimate the cost yourself based on the information If I have to complain about one thing, it would be that the back splash people did not come with right tools. I was told that they were going to saw off the old back splash along with the drywall behind, install new drywall, and then install the new back splash. But they came with only a flimsy hand saw. Because of that, they had to chip off old back splash and cut old dry wall manually. It took a long time for them to finish and made it messy and dusty. However, I do love it after everything was finished.

I went up a few days prior to see how the granite was going to be cut to ensure the seams would be good. The person who determines the layout of the pieces is very good and has a great eye for blending the cuts and seams. He was very knowledgeable and willing to hear what you had to say, though very practical regarding how much they could accommodate with the granite. I added a 10" back splash behind the sink after meeting with him and it was dealt with it without any issues, making the necessary adjustments. Kudos!!! Everything turned out well and they were very methodical and careful with the installation. The only suggestion I would offer is to not install the dishwasher bracket every time, but leave it for the contractor to determine whether it is appropriate for the dishwasher being installed. The bracket was not useful for my dishwasher and the contractor had a time getting the bracket off the granite. It was an unnecessary step that could have been avoided with a little forethought. All in all a very good experience with MC Granite and I would recommend them without reservation. Their prices were very competitive and the service was outstanding.

We have talked about getting granite in our kitchen for a couple of years and finally decided to do it. We visited 3 places and MC Granite stood out and they gave us the most inexpensive quote. From the moment we walked in, Alex answered every question we had and explained the process in detail. From start to finish, the job only took 2.5 weeks and they did a great job! I would highly recommend MC Granite!

This company is a pleasure to work with. Unlike most contractors, they are very responsive and customer service oriented. Luciano was a pleasure to work with, very professional. They installed on the date of my choice, The product/ work was done perfectly. They actually had to leave bc my cook top wasn't in yet and they wanted to measure it before they cut. It arrived just 30 minutes after they left and they came back the same day to complete the job. I can't wait to use them again. Great experience

Very professional organization from start to finish. Owner and design consultant were very knowledgeable and courteous. Technician showed up very promptly to complete templates for kitchen countertop. Selected materials were fabricated to the highest standards. Installer showed up at the agreed-upon time with all the necessary tools and materials. Installation was seamless and dramatically improved our most important room in the house. Tile backsplash was install the next day. Installer was prompt and did a expert job. I couldn't be happier with my experience with MC granite. I highly recommend them.

They were great. They did a great job. We had no problems at all. You can barely see the seams in the granite. It's really good. It wasn't a busy time for them and they managed to turn my kitchen counters around in like lightening speed. They did the template on a Thursday and they installed the countertops on the following Tuesday or Wednesday. When you have two little kids and no kitchen, that makes a big difference.
