I consulted Seay plumbing to replace our water heater. We had just bought our house and the water heater was 12 years old. The owner came out and was very knowledgable and honest. He gave my husband the advice to not replace it bc it was so well maintained and gave other info for us first time homebuyers. He was awesome. We will definitely use him in the future bc we can trust him. I would recommend him to anyone

He was planning to meet me at 1 but he arrived earlier than expected so he called me at work to let me know he was on site. I explained what the problem was and he went right to work repairing the leak replacing the broken section of the supply line with new PEX tubing and new shutoff valves. He ran a camera up the wall to check for any other leaks and verified there were no leaks in the repair. He also checked out a shower diverter that leaks when I first pull it. He took the mechanism out of the faucet and put silicon grease on it hoping that might resolve the issue but it didn't. He said if it gets worse or becomes too annoying, I should replace the faucet and he suggested one that the diverter pulls down from the bottom because they work better. The double checked for leaks on the repaired supply line and wrote up my bill. Nice guy and very helpful answering my questions.

Great from start to finish! He answered my Friday call on the first ring and asked me to call him back and leave a message on his service. Came first thing Monday and took care of both repairs efficiently and quickly. He had all the needed parts on his truck. Gave me a $15 Angi's List discount (and even left a coffee mug and magnet). I will definitely use him again. There have been no further problems with either toilet.

I read the reviews of Seay Plumbing yesterday when I discovered I had a problem with clogged sewer pipes only 2 weeks after purchasing my 45 year old home in Athens. I liked what I read so gave him a call. He was on a job and could not do the work yesterday but offered to put me in touch with another plumber if I couldn't wait. I decided to wait for him, though, and got a call later in the evening to say he would be at my house first thing the next morning. He showed up only a few minutes late and immediately got to work. I was impressed by his professional appearance and attitude. He advised me that the use of a camera could be beneficial to understanding the total problem but would cost extra. I agreed to pay more because I wanted to see the problem for myself. He got the roots that he could see with the camera and then cleaned up the mess nicely. Although I am hopeful that I won't have to call him again soon with the same problem since it might entail new pipes with a big price tag, I won't hesitate to call him if needed.

My water heater started leaking. Found Seay Plumbing on Angie's List. Called on April 18 and he was out on April 19 and replaced my water heater. He was knowledgeable, professional and explained everything he did. Would definitely use him again.

He was punctual. I told him that I'd having to leave work at around 4:00; he said he'd wait if he arrived first. He was there when I arrived. He was affable, courteous, and very professional. I'll definitely call him again.

John Seay arrived when he said he would. Looked everything over that he was to do and started work. He carries a lot of items with him and he had the shower cartridge he needed - didn't have to leave and come back. He installed all five (5) ball valves without the use of a torch. He worked very efficiently without any wasted time. His hourly rate was a little higher than someone else I had used in the past, however, he seems very honest and trustworthy and I definitely will use him again. It's hard to find good contractors and Angie's list came thru. Thanks Angie.

I called late this morning because we had two toilets that wouldn't flush. They had someone here within a couple of hours. The plumber who came to help us was great, very thorough and explained everything to me. I can't tell you enough how thankful I am for the quick service (as you can imagine), the professionalism and the quality of the work that was provided. Definitely recommend this company.

Scheduling an appointment with Mr. Seay was easy and he arrived right on time. He was professional, took time to explain the septic system and how it clogged, and was very helpful in suggesting low cost ways to prevent the problem from reoccuring. The cost of the service was fair and I would not hesistate to use his company again in the future.

On Saturday night, the hot water line burst under the sink in the kitchen. We turned off the water to the house and cleaned up the water. Sunday morning at 9:15am, I called Seay Plumbing, based upon positive reviews on Angie's list. John answered the phone professionally, he explained the problem, and said he could be at my house within an hour. He asked how I had selected him and I told him I had read many positive reviews on Angie's list. He arrived at 10am. I showed him the damage and he noted he could repair it without a problem. Coincidentally, we had planned on installing a new faucet, which I had purchased. John also installed the faucet. John was done within an hour. There was no mess and he took all the rubbish with him. He left the damaged pipe and noted we should hang onto it for insurance purposes. While completing the repair, he noted details that would be relevant to an insurance claim. He also provided details on the work he had done and care and maintenance of the new faucet. John also noted where he saw water damage and some other items to be aware of in the case of an insurance claim. The entire time, John was professional and courteous. I did not shop around for pricing, and so cannot state whether he was the best price in town, but I strongly believe I paid a fair price and would pay it again for his services. Moreover, he gave us a discount for finding him on Angie's List.

The price was good. The service was great. They gave me advice on what to do or not to do next time. The owner did the work himself.

The owner was prompt, professional and efficient. He was meticulous in his work and clean up. Although I only called him to remove the toilet blockage, while he was here I discussed the other two issues with him and he accommodated me by completing the additional repairs. I was particularly impressed with the state of the art technology he used to locate the blockage preventing a costly, messy and time consuming search as well his conscientious effort to minimize any mess and his careful clean up of the work area. He also offers a 10% discount for customers of Angie's List. In addition he offered follow up service in case there was any problem the work he did. As to the price, I have not utilized the services of a plumber for many years and really have no idea what the average rate would be. What I can attest to is the quality of the work which was excellent.

I put N/A for the price because I have no experience hiring plumbers to provide a basis for comparison. We had a plumbing catastrophe, i.e. my husband discovered that the pipe going from the city meter to the house had burst, as water was coming up through the ground quickly, and he therefore turned off the water to the house. John was recommended to us by another plumber whose day was already full. Fortunately, John was able to fit us in to his afternoon. He spent over 2 hours digging mud and roots out from around the pipe, and replaced some parts. He very kindly educated me in Plumbing 101 while he did so, verified that the leak was totally fixed before he started putting dirt back in place, updated our controls and improved our access at the site, and checked the water pressure. He also provided detailed paperwork for us to use in submitting a request for a partial refund from the city's water business office. I was very appreciative of the education in plumbing. While I don't have any experience in pricing for plumbing work, the fee, which included labor and supplies, seemed fair.

John came out within less than an hour of my calling him, took out a small hole of drywall on the inside wall, and fixed the pipe in less than an hour. His repair work was an even better job than the original plumbing. He was very professional, didn't mind my standing over him the entire time, and was VERY reasonable with his pricing. I will absolutely recommend him to friends and neighbors.

I was alarmed to find water leaking from behind the tiles around the tub faucet. I went to investigate and found the drain was leaking, too. I called Seay Plumbing and talked with John. He said he'd try to work the job in that day and thankfully was able to. He found the problems with the drain and cleared the drain and replaced it. Then he repaired the spout so it would not leak into the wall. Mr. Seay explained the problems and repairs to me so I felt confident that they were resolved. I would reccommend this company and definitely will call them again for any plumbing concerns.

Serviceman did his work very quickly without having to run back and forth for parts. He tested the disposal. He also showed me where the old disposal had rusted out. This guy knew what he was doing and did it. Yes, I'd recommend him to my best friends.

I called John and let him know what was happening with my plumbing, he let me know he could come see me later in the day. He was running late and called to reassure me that he hadn't forgot me and would be there within the hour. When he got here he went straight to work and showed me what the problem was. He was very polite and did a great job. A few weeks later I was with my brother in-law and he let me know about a plumbing problem he had and was talking about the great guy that came to their house, come to find out it was John. I have called him for information since he was out to my house and he answered my questions and helped me find assistance at the water department.

I first contacted Seay Plumbing on July 3rd, when our hot water ran out after rolling a power outage caused by a thunder storm. My husband was able to identify the problem - the control panel was shot. After a review of plumbers on Angie's I called Seay's. I explained the situation to John, the owner, who gave me some startling and very valuable advice: contact the manufacturer to see if I was still under warranty because I might be able to get the part for free (and save a couple hundred dollars.) John told me where to find the information I needed on the water heater, and gave me some tips on how to get what I needed from the company. He instructed me to call him back after I had spoken to the manufacturer. Following John's advice I called the manufacturer (WhIrlpool - whose rep Sierra was stellar, btw) and they agreed to ship the motherboard for the control panel next day air and without cost since the unit was still under warranty. Unfortunately, with the next day being the 4th of July, the part would not arrive until Thursday. I called John back and arranged to contact him as soon as the part was in hand on Thursday the 5th. The job John was working on Thursday was a major one, but he was so concerned that I get my hot water back, he agreed to come out afterwards as long as it was convenient to me. We stayed in contact throughout the day adjusting timetables. As it worked out John Seay was at my home repairing my water heater at 7pm that night, after working in the brutal heat all day on that major repair. After three days with no hot water I was so grateful to see him! And he apologized for making me wait so long! John and his apprentice got right to work and had things up and running in no time. He did not charge me for an after hours visit, and even extended a discount because I found him on Angie's List. I highly recommend Seay Plumbing for prompt, professional, and caring service.

Same as above. I would have preferred he excuse himself from the process instead of letting me believe he wanted the job which delayed my decision.

We had a plumbing emergency and John was here within an hour. We didn't know where the septic tank was, and it was not in an obvious place, but he found it quickly and fixed the problem. Thanks John!
