He pulled off and reset master toilet, had to add new bolt which was broken off. Guest toilet was loose and he fixed tht one as well. He was very professional, worked hard, was courteous, and had everything he needed with him. He knew what he was doing. Had to drill to add new bolt to master toilet, and tighten guest toilet, and re-caulked both toilets. He clean up the mess and did everything in a timely manner. Very reasonable in cost for the work he did. Will call again when I need a good plumber.

Replaced the innards of two toilets. Was quick, reasonably priced, and polite.

Due to an initial hiccup in the scheduling, John came out on a Sunday afternoon. He is professional and responsive.

Johnathan was courteous and professional. He called ahead to ensure he had the right location as my address had recently changed (rezoning). Arrived on time and was quickly able to give me a sense of the scope of work and provide a quote. Since I was happy with the arrangement he went to work immediately. He used the cold water pipe that serviced the master bath sink and ran a new line out through the exterior wall inside the cabinet under the sink. Upon completion, he cleaned what little mess there was and instructed me to call if there was any sign of a leak (there has been none). He even managed to finish faster than his estimate and cost less than his quote. When my neighbor heard that I was installing a hose faucet, he visited while Johnathan was working and hired him to do the same work on his unit. While he was working Johnathan provided a few great tips for preventing the new faucet from freezing during the winter and demonstrated the different water shutoff valves both at the faucet and for the townhouse. I greatly appreciate when professionals can give you some added insight into the care of your home.

My service with Jonathan went off without a hitch. Called first thing in the morning - and he came the same day. Called ahead as he said he would do (doesn't always happen that way). Evaluated our problem and fixed our problem promptly. He was extremely professional and pleasant - and his price was reasonable. I really enjoyed doing business with him and have saved his number in my phone. Next time, won't need to search and wonder who to call. I will just call him!

Prompt, courteous and professional service from first contact to finished project. The final cost exceeded the estimate by $50 (and lt;4%) necessitated by the crew having to hand-dig over the crossing of a gas line and the old water line. This exception was fully explained and approved by me with no reservations. I would not hesitate to employ Seay Plumbing and Drain Service again.

Installed new access panel- One on the truck cutout and replaced new Hot and Cold Gate valves with water bumpers along with the piping. Had two on the truck Repaired noisy and poor flowing sink faucet core- had one on the truck- Cleaned up after final check for leaks. Very professional and job was completed in no time. I would and will use him again.

John was great! We were completely impressed by his punctuality, his professionalism, and his work. We called him in a for a leak in our bathroom. He came the same day we called and was very quick to find where the leak was coming from. Having never had to deal with repairs issues in my home, John was very helpful in explaining what all my options were and how best to proceed. Seay Plumbing will be the only plumbers we will call if we ever have need any plumbing work done.

Mr. Seay was very accommodating, willing to come out on a Friday night if I needed him to, but after some discussion, he and I decided to wait until Monday as the amount of water wasted would not equal the amount I would spend on their weekend rates. He was running a little bit late, but he called to let me know, which was very thoughtful. He left a form that I submitted to the utility company to get a partial refund on the huge bill. I would use him again in a heartbeat.

We used Seay's Plumbing in an urgent situation. They did an excellent job. We own a condo in Athens but live in another state. We had a leak from our bathroom into a condo below us late on a Friday afternoon. The plumber came on time late in the day, was so professional with our tenant and the owner below, thoroughly checked for all possible causes, and expertly repaired the problem. Although he worked after hours, his fee was very reasonable. Most importantly, he called us with regular updates and was just such a wonderful person to work with in general. It was a relief working long distance with such an honest and competent plumber who was so professional.

He was fabulous. He was fantastic. I called him on Saturday, and it wasn't an emergency, but he was able to come out this morning at 9. He called before he came out, to make sure I was there when he came out, and he did the least invasive things first, before he did anything major. He explained everything as he was doing it. He showed me all the defects, and what was causing the leak and everything, and it was quite obvious what he was showing me. He went and got the parts and materials to fix it, and he fixed it. He was at my house for 3 hours. He was very nice, and he went above and beyond. He was super, I will definitely use him in the future, I won't even think about calling anybody else. He put plastic up, made sure he cleaned up after himself, I didn't have to clean up after he left, and he was real informative about waiting to have that sheet rock recovered. He said we had to wait 2 or 3 weeks for it to dry up and see that there were no leaks. He assured me that if I saw a leak, we should call him. He is professional, and knowledgeable, and he shares his knowledge. He explains and shows what is wrong, and where the problem is. I felt very comfortable with him and at ease at all times. He is not overpriced by any means, I would think that he is very reasonable for the amount of work that he had to do.

Like to have plumbing inspected yearly, but had not found anyone who was competent and reliable. This was my first experience with Angie's List and the results were very rewarding. My voice mail was answered quickly and he worked me in first thing the next morning. He arrived when promised, discussed my needs and concerns, and promptly went to work on the items required. When the tasks were completed, we reviewed each one and determined future options. The experience was very satisfying and I will be calling him the next time I require plumbing service.

. This was after the big freeze when every plumber had a waiting list of at least several days. I put myself on 3 different plumbers waiting lists. Jon Seay was the first one to get to me. He called me prior to coming and arrived promptly. He was courteous, friendly, and personable. He did an excellent job and answered all my questions. Because of the location of the leak part of the exterior of the house needed to be ripped out and the insulation removed. He advised me to wait until the studs and floor beams were fully dried before closing up the area and putting in new insulation. He came fully prepared with tools and parts. The $225 was very reasonable, but he gave me an Angie's List discount which dropped the bill down to $205. He was able to take my credit card, scanning it as I sat on my deck. I'd gladly recommend him to others and will call on him again myself.

Perfect. This man called before arriving to remind me and verify he was coming. He assessed the situation quickly, got the parts and installed them. Had a pleasant chat with the gentlemen. The encounter went so smoothly there is not much to say other than it went perfectly.

Once again, it has been a pleasure to work with Jon Seay! We had a new marble counter and plumbing fixtures installed in a small bathroom as part of a remodel this summer. Recently a discoloration has occurred in the marble, and we don't know what is causing it. We contacted both the marble shop who had installed the countertop and the plumber (Jon) who had installed the fixtures, for advice. Jon came out right away to trouble-shoot the problem, showed interest in a good outcome but also in trying to understand if there was something he could have done differently in the install to have avoided it, and came back a second time to reinstall one of the fixtures. He didn't charge us for any of this, because he feels it's part of the service of doing the whole job right. (By contrast, it took three calls over a month period of time to get anyone at the marble shop to reply to us at all, and another week to get them out here, at which point they charged us $135 trip fee, blamed everyone and everything else, and failed to remedy the problem anyway.) Ultimately, the discoloration is still there, and I truthfully don't know what the cause was. But even though we don't have an answer, I so greatly respect a skilled craftsman with Jon's professional approach, customer service, and willingness to stand by his work. I will continue to use his services and to recommend him.

I called Seay Plumbing based on the excellent reviews I read on Angie's List. I called first thing in the morning and John Seay answered his phone promptly. When I told John our toilets weren't flushing, he told me he would come as soon as he finished the job he was working on. He called me within the hour to let me know he was on the way. John diagnosed our problem, called the city to come out to assist, cleaned out the problem roots, had the city ensure there wasn't a problem on their end. John then explained the long term issues we could anticipate when the roots regrew, and gave us options for future solutions to what would be an ongoing issue. John was pleasant, thorough, and, most important, prompt and efficient. I have found my new plumber!

He came on time, quickly isolated the problem leak, fixed it. Offered Angie's List discount. Will use again.

I saw this provider had good reviews on Angie's list, so I called him up. I called around 11:30am, and he came to my house at 1:45pm. the same day. I had been hearing what sounded like water dripping from the upstairs bathroom / shower. I hadn't seen any visible signs of water damage, but wanted to spearhead the problem and get it fixed before damage did occur. John checked it out, and assured me that what I was hearing was the pipe expanding and contracting when the hot water was running (the pipe is strapped to the wooden supports behind the dry wall). He didn't cut any holes in the walls, but was fairly confident that's what the noise was. We tested it out by running both hot and cold water from the shower and sink in said upstair bathroom It only made the sound with the hot water each time. The weather has been colder lately, which also explains why I've been hearing the sound more lately. He also checked all of the surrounding rooms and areas for any signs of water damage or leaks, and none were found. My house is 7 years old, and I've been in it one year. I had an issue when I moved in with sediment (calcium build-up) at the bottm of my water heater. It sat vacant about a year before I moved in. I haven't had any recent problems, but he still inspected it to be sure. He also adjusted the temperature down on the heater. He showed me the water meter in the yard and gave me a crash course in reading it. From the gallons used to the triangle spinning when the water is on, I have a better idea of how to check for leaks on my own in the future. This also confirmed there was no current leak in the system. He was there less than an hour total. His rate is $110 for the hour / per hour, labor included, materials (if needed) extra. No material were needed. He asked where I found his info, and I said Angie's list. He gave me a $15 discount, plus a coffee mug and magnet. He talked a little about Angie's list and the overall positive experience I've had from the site in the various times I've used it. I told him I'd likely write a review, and he just asked that I tell it like it is / how I thought the experience went. Obviously, that's how'd I'd write it up, but I do appreciate him wanting the truth about my thoughts on his service written up (whether that be good or bad). Overall, good experience, and I learned a few things. Will use again if I have any plumbing problems (hopefully that doesn't happen though!).

He was on time, explained what he was doing in detail, checked with me on details like having to place the new unit slightly further out than the old one was. 5. He showed me what went bad with the old unit; explained code requirements in detail and how he'd bring them into compliance; went over all details on how to work new unit, its warranty and reputation and safety issues 6. He gave me tips and advice on getting the last of the water up and what to watch for re: floor damage 7. Pleasant, professional, focused -- Jonathan came in and went to work. 8. He gave me an Angies List discount 9. Even though I was hoping not to pay this much, I feel it was fair when I saw all that was done. He came very close to the guesstimate he gave me on the phone. 10, He fixed a small item in my bathroom that I haven't been able to get at. I joined Angies List last night just because I felt so uncertain about which plumber to use. I choose Seay Plumbing because of the positive reviews, and I was not disappointed. I would definitely use them again and I'm sure I'll be using Angies List more in the future.

We called Seay Plumbing to have leaks repaired in a toilet and shower and to have the hot water heater flushed. John Seay arrived punctually at our prearranged time and was very knowledgeable about each of the jobs he performed. He was professional, as well as honest about what needed servicing and what did not--he did not try to sell us services or replace additional parts that were not necessary. He had all the tools and parts needed for the job, with everything well organized. He was efficient and didn't take long to accomplish the tasks. His rates were reasonable. Although it wasn't why we called him, he even advised us about a new well we had had installed that we were having trouble with. We were very impressed and would call Seay Plumbing again. We would recommend them to others without hesitation.

This gentleman arrived when he said he would, and was prepared. He has a truck that is stocked with replacement parts so he did not have to leave and come back after he evaluated my problem. He did not give me an estimate first and did not tell me what his hourly rate was... but I did not ask for one either. I rated this service provider as a C in terms of price because I thought he charged a fair price for his work. I am a bit of a do it yourself type, and while he was here he was kind enough to give me some guidance and recommendation on another problem in another bathroom. After he was done I decided to replace the toilet completely since the problem that caused the original flange to rust still persisted. While I was installing the new toilet, I broke the new flange he had installed. I did not ask him to return, however. But I did call and seek further advice, which he was happy to provide. He even offered to come back by after all of his appointments were done in case I needed help. At the end of the day he called to follow up with me to see how things were going. I thanked him and declined further assistance.

Great. Very impressed with the owner of the business. He was very attentive and willing to accommodate our schedule. Absolutely recommend Seay Plumbing and Drain Service, and would definitely use them again.

The leak was discovered on a Friday afternoon. No water was visible, but I could hear a hissing sound coming from the space between the front porch and the house. The pipe was leaking under the concrete slab porch at the point of entry into the house. I called one plumber who told me that it would be Monday before he could come out to look at the problem. I called Seay Plumbing on Saturday morning and Jonathan told me that he could come by that day. He arrived about five hours later, after finishing up another job. After locating the PVC water line coming from the well, he cut the pipe and attempted to thread a 3/4and quot; PEX line through the 1and quot; PVC line. Unfortunately, the PVC pipe had a 90 degree angle just outside the house so he was unable to push the PEX line through. After discussing some other options with me, including re-routing the water line to the house away from the porch area (which would have necessitated trenching across our front lawn), he found that he was able to thread the PEX line under the porch through a void under a vent line coming from our kitchen stove. The repair was completed within three hours, and we had our water back on by supper time. The bill for the repair was reasonable, considering the fact that he came out on a Saturday and had to do a lot of digging with a shovel, scope the line, and remove some brick and concrete block material to fit the new line under the porch. This was a challenging job, and Jonathan showed creativity and ingenuity in using the space under the stove vent to route the new line. He provided a 10% Angie's List discount on the bill, which was greatly appreciated.
