Description of Work: I called for an appliance repair person when my freezer suddenly quit making ice cubes. I asked for an appointment the following Monday afternoon, and the pleasant person I worked with was able to give me exactly what I'd asked for. (Monday was three days away) Over the weekend, my husband tinkered with the filter, the water line, etc - and resolved the issue with the result that ice cubes again began being produced. I called All Area Appliance back on Monday morning and cancelled my appointment, explaining it was no longer needed. The person I spoke to both times was very pleasant, accomodating, and professional.

They were fantastic. I called them and they were here within an hour. I had to pay $10 up front and that went towards my bill. They ordered the part and someone was out that afternoon to put it in. It went smooth as silk! It was probably the best experience I have ever had with appliance repair. I was impressed with everything. They were here, diagnosed the problem, ordered the part and returned with the part to fix the issue in about half a day. I have already recommended them to others.

We had trouble with that ice maker for years and had someone else attempt to fix it for years and we called All Area eventually and he instantly knew the problem and fixed it. We have had no problems with it since. The man who came was very nice and helpful.

The fellow who came out was very helpful. He told me he wouldn't have recommended that I go ahead with the work if it were anything other than the belt. The price included everything and I thought that was reasonable. He was very friendly, professional and fast.

My refrigerator was not cooling. I called All Area Appliance Service mid-morning and they were able to schedule me for early afternoon that day. Close to the appointment time the serviceman called to let me know that he was on his way. Once there he quickly determined the source of the problem and had the part on hand to make the needed repair. About an hour after his arrival I had a working refrigerator. I was very pleased with the entire experience, especially the same-day service, and would definitely use them again.

Came out when they said they would. pro. co. very nice people!
Description of Work: came out and told us why our ref. wasn't cooling properly. Told us what he would do to fix problem, and how much it would cost. Everything was going to come to $105. Dust around the coils had caused the compressor to over heat! He hoped the heat didn't kill the comp. ,but he didn't think so. I am fairly good with a lot of mech. repairs so I asked if I could do it myself. He told me I would need an air compressor and ect. but sure. I was so thankful to him because I cleaned it (what a mess) and this morning it was perfect!! THANK YOU ' ALL AREA APPLIANCE ' TOTAL SAVING 75.00!!!

Dryer was discharging lint into laundry room, despite recent cleaning of dryer exhaust system. Discovered only after pulling dryer out that exhaust hose was not attached. Erik was extremely professional and helpful. He checked the appliance out thoroughly and educated us about common problems and actions we should take to avoid them. I would definitely use this company again.
Description of Work: Checked to make sure exhaust system was drawing properly and that dryer was heating as it was supposed to do before reattaching hose to exhaust. Also gave some excellent tips on options to consider in improving dryer performance to compensate for the long exhuast system.

I have a home warrenty service. I called them and All Area responded promptly. The plumber was professional and told me the problem. The disposal was cracked and leaking. He came back with a new disposal. The replacement only took a short while. The only complaint would be the repairman was a little too talkative, but so am I!

They rescheduled three times. I had an appointment yesterday between 1:00 and 3:00. The dispatcher called during that time to tell me the technician was running late and rescheduled from 3:00 to 5:00. No one showed up or called by 5:00. The technician finally called and said he wouldn't be here until around 5:30. I had to leave the house, so he rescheduled for today between 10:00 and 12:00. The technician called me this morning after 10:00 and said he had to pick his daughter up at school and rescheduled for 12:00 to 2:00. I waited until 1:00 and had to get back to the office, so I called their office and canceled. The dispatcher was not at all concerned or apologetic about three reschedules. She just said he had a family emergency (she didn't offer an excuse for the two reschedules yesterday) and told me to have a good day. No apologies or offers to send a more reliable technician (maybe he's the only one they have?).

Response from All Area Appliance Service
The appointment was rescheduled three times. However, the customer rescheduled the first two appointments. The last appointment was dispatched out to another technician due to a family emergency. We advised this customer immediately as to the nature of the situation and provided a time frame that he initially agreed to, then canceled yet again before that time frame had transpired. We cannot control family emergencies, we did dispatch another technician and we did keep the customer apprised of the situation.

Excellent! Answered call almost immediately on a Saturday morning. Technician was at our house within 30 minutes and completed diagnosis and repair work within 20 minutes. They knew the common issues among the various brands of refrigerators and had replacement parts in the van accordingly, so no need to order part, wait, etc. I hope I do not need to, but I would use this service again without hesitation.

David diagnosed that the washer was fine, but there was no power to the outlet and we needed an electrician. I called an electrician who tested the circuit (cost almost $200) and there was no problem. I then called All Area to update them. I hoped that they would come out to take another look at the washer, now that we knew that there was no problem with the electricity. Kerry Spayd, president, shocked me by sharply refusing to send a tech back to re-evaluate the washer, saying that if David said there's nothing wrong with it, then there's nothing wrong, and it was now my problem. She made some untrue accusations against me and misstatements of fact. I called another company who quickly diagnosed and repaired the washer (cleaned the timer contacts.) I would have let the situation go, but the puzzling, unwarranted, and unprovoked hostility from Ms. Spayd should be reported to other unsuspecting customers. The company has prominent 2-page ads in area yellow pages, but caveat emptor.
Description of Work: Our washer was not working. I found All Area's 2-page ad in the Yellow Pages and they sent out a service tech, David. He pulled the cabinet off the washer and set it on my unprotected new wood floor. I asked him if he would please lift it up so I could place some masonite boards underneath, which he willingly did. He took the machine apart top to bottom, finished his work and gave me his diagnosis that there was nothing wrong with the machine, but we had no current to the outlet and needed an electrician for that repair. I paid his invoice of $9.95 "service call without repair," somewhat relieved that I was not facing a big repair bill. We then exchanged some brief pleasantries about the weekend and the weather, and he left.

Response from All Area Appliance Service
I HAD MANY CONVERSATIONS WITH THIS CUSTOMER & ANY "HOSTILE" REACTIONS SHE RECEIVED ON MY PART WERE DUE TO HER HOSTILITY TOWARD MY COMPANY & HER UNWILLINGNESS TO BE REASONABLE. MY TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED A SHORT IN HER ELECTRICAL OUTLET, A REPAIR THAT WE ARE SIMPLY NOT LICENSED TO SERVICE. THIS CUSTOMER WHO ADMITTEDLY RESEARCHED OUR COMPANY BEFORE CALLING US PAID $200 FOR A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN WITHOUT SO MUCH AS TAKING THE TIME TO CHECK THE OUTLET BY PLUGGING SOMETHING INTO THE OUTLET. WHY DID SHE NOT CHECK THE OUTLET? BECAUSE SHE WITNESSED MY TECHNICIAN DO A THOROUGH DIAGNOSIS OF THE WASHER AND THE OUTLET. WHAT SHE HAS ALSO FAILED TO MENTION IS THAT SHE DEMANDED THAT WE REPAY HER FOR HER ELECTRICIANS BILL. IN MY OPINION THE ELECTRICIAN REPAIRED THE LOOSE CONNECTION WHILE DISASSEMBLING THE OUTLET TO CHECK IT. WE ONLY METER THE OUTLET BECAUSE OF LICENSING RESTRICTIONS. ALL OF WHICH I TRIED TO EXPLAIN TO HER. I DO NOT BELIEVE THIS CUSTOMER CHECKED HER WASHER AFTER THE ELECTRICIAN SAID HE COULD NOT FIND A PROBLEM WITH THE OUTLET ANY MORE THAN SHE CHECKED THE OUTLET PRIOR TO CALLING HIM OUT. I ALSO QUESTION THE REPAIR OF THE SUBSEQUENT APPLIANCE TECHNICIAN ALTHOUGH THIS TYPE OF REPAIR CANNOT BE VERIFIED BECAUSE NO PART WAS REPLACED. I QUESTIONED ALL OF MY TECHNICIANS & THEY ALL SAY THE SAME THING. YOU CAN CLEAN THE CONTACTS ON A TIMER & POSSIBLY GET A TEMPORARY FIX BUT THE TIMER WILL DISFUNCTION AGAIN. THE ONLY WAY TO TRULY REPAIR THE UNIT, IF IT WAS BROKEN, IS TO REPLACE THE TIMER.

I called and Eric responded almost immediately. He knew exactly what was wrong before he got to the house, in part by what I had told him, mostly by his own experience and knowledge. He had brought the part with him which saved a lot of time. He was very knowledgeable and repaired the freezer fan in less than an hour and a half. He was very professional, polite, and gave me tips and information on the refrigerator. He told me he repairs all appliances; I would not hesitate to call this company again.
Description of Work: My refrigerator's freezer began to malfunction. This happened two days before I was going to have a surprise birthday party at my house. I didn't know what was wrong. I called several companies, some would not work on my brand of refrigerator, others could not come until the next day or after. I called Eric at All Area Appliance Service and he came in about an hour.

It went very well. I called, and they had a technician (Nick) to my house within an hour. I was very surprised at how quickly they came, because it was actually a holiday weekend. Nick was very pleasant and knowledgeable. The price ($184.00) seemed fair to me, and he had the replacement part with him. The entire job took about 35 minutes. He thoroughly explained the problem, and exactly what he did to resolve the issue. The only minimal problem was that their website said they accepted American Express, but when I tried to pay him he advised that they did not accept AMEX. Luckily, I had my debit card which was VISA. I told him that it was on the website, and he said he'd advise the marketing manager asap of the error.
