Description of Work: $95 2 hour Handyman Special - My project, replace/construct ~4ftx2.5ft crawl. |Meeting scheduled for estimate and supply list I needed to purchase. Date of work scheduled and worker arrived on time, polite and ready to work. Job complete, door works, secure and looks great. Lesson learned-don't assume the person giving the estimate will also do the work and do not assume the worker is on time schedule. Discuss the estimate and project with the worker. I expected the job to be completed in the time that was estimated, 1.5 hours. I paid $95 for 2 hours. Great right? The worker took 3 hours which cost me an additional $60. In the future, make it clear no talking on a cell phone during YOUR time and do consider that unloading the work truck, set-up and clean-up are included in the special. A slower pace eats up YOUR time. In the future I will pay for the project and not by the hour. |Let me be clear, I am happy with the finished product.This guy's work is good. However, I was disappointed over the time it took and frustrated over the additional cost but will blame this to my own ignorance of how it worked.

Description of Work: First, it was hard to get in contact with Tudor. Next, when they finally came out to give an estimate of the job the contactor quoted a price of $1700 to take down my decks and a shed in the back. The provider was suppose to get in contact with me with a contract in a couple of days. I did not hear from them. I kept calling for weeks to get someone to come out with the contract and when I finally got to talk to the contractor the price had gone up to $2800. I will never try to use them again because they are to busy to return calls and the verbal quotes and agreements means nothing to them.

Description of Work: I am pleased with the end product of converting my deck to a sun room. The main problem I had with this company was that the contract for this work was signed on the 19th April 2015. The old deck was removed but then there was a delay in continuing work on the project. A project that was suppose to take 'a couple of months' was finished about the end of Oct 2015. The delay was not the result of the weather.

Description of Work: They were hired to replace several doors in my mother's house. We provided the hardware and paid for the hinges since we wanted them replaced as well. All pretty much went well except a couple of doors which had flaws and we requested they be replaced. One bathroom door had to be replaced twice because of flaws before we were satisfied. They were very accommodating and worked hard to make sure we were satisfied.

Description of Work: Installed three ceiling fans. Put in a new exhaust fan in the guest bathroom. Installed two attic ladders and painted the exterior of the attic door to match the ceiling. Though I had to call the owner several times to set up a work date, he and his team did an excellent job and did all the above, which a name store was going to charge me almost this same price to install the attic stairs. He has given me an estimate for additional home repairs and I will use his service again. He and his team were pleasant when working in my home and cleaned up after themselves. He was honest if he felt he would not be able to do a job that I asked for an estimate and gave me several names of companies that might be able to help.I will be using this company again in the near future.

+ 7 moreThings took longer than expected however the longer time was because of some things that I was not pleased with and Randy made the corrections in a very pleasant and professional manner. The finished product is beautiful and I am sure that we will enjoy it for years to come and I know that it has increased the value of our home. The quality of the workmanship is excellent.
Description of Work: Completely gutted master bath except for tub. Replaced floor tile, took out fiberglass shower and replaced with tile adding a seat, rain shower and hand held shower. New custom cabinets were added. Also new lighting, extra electrical outlet inside a cabinet, new granite counter tops. Also moved one vent fan and added another one. All new electrical outlets and switches.

+ 8 moreMy front and back yard was overrun with overgrown shrubbery and they came in and cleared all of it out. Along with that, they removed two trees that they said were dead or diseased and could be in danger of falling. After that they proceeded to replace the whole roof. While they were doing that, someone else started doing repairs needed for the inside (doing some electrical work, repairing spots on several areas on the ceiling due to leaking, and replacing the damaged tub in the main bath, and reconnecting the drain in the tub in the master bath). Then they started on the exterior replacing all the siding on the front and back that had been severely damaged and then painted the whole house so it would all match. They also did some repair work to the front porch and painted the areas that they fixed. And replaced the roof on the back porch and the steps. All in all, I would say they did really good. And one of the things I really liked was that they were always there when they said they would be and worked hard all day. And as for Randy Tudor, I have to say, I really liked that every time I called him for whatever reason, he would answer and he always made sure that any concern that I had was addressed. In the past I have dealt with others that you play h*** getting them back on the phone and when you finally do, it takes them days to show up. But, not Randy, he made sure his customer was taken care of.
Description of Work: He oversaw clearing of nearly one acre of property - removed two dead or threatening trees from possibly damaging the residence - completely replaced the roof of a double-wide mobile home - installed new siding on 3/4 of the mobile home and completely painted the entire exterior of the home - repaired floor on the front porch; added a new roof and steps on the back porch- made some interior electrical repairs - replaced one bathroom tub and repaired another bathroom tub - repaired and repainted several ceiling areas inside the home.

He is very nice and professional, and his staff is very friendly and efficient. I would definitely recommend him and use him in the future.

Every day day they gave me an update and the budget. They do have a website that they will take a picture of how the porch looked and how it looked afterwards (inaudible at 00:08:44) and what I like is that they will work around your time.

Our job consisted of: Installing recessed and pendant lights; Building and installing custom cabinets; Upgrade to granite counters; Backsplash tiling; Appliance installation; And all the necessary plumbing, electrical, and painting that goes along with those items. Randy did all the work he could do in advance of the countertops being installed, coordinated with the granite company so that they could do their work when needed, and after the counters were installed, Randy promptly finished the job within just a few days. Randy’s crew treated us and our home with the utmost respect at all times. They always notified us in advance of when they were coming, and were prompt in their arrivals. Honestly, we had no problems handing over the keys so they could work on the house while we were at work. I would definitely recommend Tudor Home Improvements to others. My wife is truly happy!
