What are you doing still reading reviews? If you had called Evans Garage Door by now, he might be at your place already fixing your door. I called on a Saturday and he showed up on Sunday! The other vendor I called, Aiken Overhead Door, had to leave a message during business hours Friday and they never did even call back. Evans Garage Door is serious and professional about garage doors and shared a lot of knowledge about the procedure while doing the work.

Arrived on time, gave an estimate, did the work and left the area clean.

I had our spring to break this afternoon (on sunday). Called Kendall and he was here in an hour to fix it. no extra service charges to come out on sunday which was nice. he also noticed another problem with the pulleys and recommended changing them out to prevent a major problem in the future. his price was great and he was very professional. I would definitely recommend him to anyone

Outstanding service. Called in the morning and was able to get service the same day in the afternoon. Performed the work required in about an hour's time at an outstanding price. I had the same work done in my previous home in Atlanta and paid three times what this guy charged. Will do business again.

After inspecting the unit and tried the main parts of the door, he suggested that it seems the capacitor has gone bad. After asking for authorization to replace it, he replaced the capacitor and soon the garage door started to work. He then proceeded to perform a general inspection of the rest of the unit and the door; he also lubricated with silicone spray to all the wheels. He also inspected a second door in a separate garage and lubricated the wheels well. After he finished he provided information in how I can maintain the door working properly. He was very professional and courteous and I would use him again as well as recommending for any problem related to garage doors. He charge a very reasonable fee tor the capacitor as well as the visit.

He was very nice and professional both on the phone and in person. We would definitely hire him again!

It's rare to meet such a completely honest service person. Kendall could have easily convinced me to replace the motor and probably even put in a whole new system. Instead, he laid out the facts and gave me the information I needed to make an informed decision. His price was excellent and his work was even better. He balanced the settings and reset the safety shutoff. I recommend Evans Garage Doors highly. Use this company. You can't go wrong!

They came by and they were great and so I didn't really have a problem. They wouldn't take any payment so they were good. He couldn't recreate it when he came and he said something was loose and he just fixed a couple of screws and he went away. He said, "If there has been a break at some point, call me and I can come out and do it." I asked him what I owed him and he said nothing and he went away. He was very responsive and he came when he said he would.

The only reason I rated "A" for Evan's Garage doors is because "A+" isn't available. They are responsive, professional, quick, fair and friendly. They were at the house in 24 hours, but offered to be there sooner if I wished. From my descripition of the problem, they had a pretty good idea of what the issue and fix would be and all was fixed quickly, without a hitch. There is absolutely nothing that could have gone better with this experience. I will absolutely use these guys any time I have a problem.

I called the company an hour ago, in need of a spring replacement. I can write this review now because the work is already done. While it would be unfair to expect such responsiveness and punctuality every time, he came out within 20 minutes of my call, diagnosed what needed to be done (the spring had broken the night before, and it makes a fair bit of noise when doing so), had the parts on his truck, and finished the job very quickly and efficiently.

Hooray! An excellent job! So nice to have a prompt, professional service done well.

I called Evans Garage Doors on a Saturday afternoon and Kendall was at the house a couple of hours later. He quickly diagnosed the problem, adjusted the springs, lubed the door, tightened loose screws and answered my questions. The job took about half an hour and he charged me for a standard service call ($35). I thought about doing it myself, but it would have taken me hours and I'd have to buy tools and put up with the frustration of it. I'm so glad I called Kendall instead. It was quick, easy and inexpensive.

I came home from work after 7 PM and pulled my car into the garage. As I went into the house, I hit the garage door button. The garage door closed, but as it got about 5 feet off the ground it came crashing down. The original spring (about 12 years old) had broken in two. I knew that there would be no way that I could lift the door to get my wife's car and my car out of the garage to go to work the next morning. I came inside, hopped on the computer, and checked Angie's List to find a reputable garage door service. Evans Garage Doors looked promising so I called about 7:45 PM. Surprisingly, the owner, Kendall, answered the phone. He was in the midst of an installation but stayed on the phone and had me walk to the garage so he could ask me questions about what I saw (size of door, where the spring was located, was it in two pieces, model of the opener, etc.). He said that if I were willing to have him come by later that evening, he would swing by his shop to pick up a replacement spring or at the very least help me raise the door so we could get both cars out that night. Around 8:30 PM he called to say that he was done with the other job and was working his way to my house but it may be about 30 minutes. Sure enough, at a few minutes after 9 PM he pulled up. I met him at the front door so we could walk through the house to get in to the garage. He immediately asked for a non carpeted path and also asked me to open the doors for him. He was still dirty from the previous job and didn't want to track grease on our carpet nor get it on the door knobs. Both my wife and I were quite impressed of this thoughtfullness. So we went into the garage and he confirmed that the original spring did indeed break. He went back to the truck to retrieve the new spring (again, having me open the doors for him). He used my ladder that was already in the garage to speed up the process. He replaced the spring but also noticed that one of my hinges was bent so he replaced that too. He also taught me how / where to apply silicone lubricant at least twice a year for good door maintenance, and which bolts I needed to tighten periodically. I was quite impressed that he would take the time to teach me something about garage door maintenance. He had me hit the button and the door lifted smoother and quieter than we had ever heard it (we've been in the house 5 years!). He finished the job a little after 10 PM. The price he charged me was the same that he had quoted me on the phone, even though he added a new hinge and applied the lubrication. Talk about great service! I have already recommended this company to a friend who had problems with their garage door.

He did a very affordable job. I would hire him again in a minute and I would recommend him. He was honest and affordable. He did not cut any corners. He had integrity and he did a first class job.
