Description of Work: Comcast's failures are well known. The service failed to complete a booked installation. Once I double checked, the new representative was better but I lost a week in having service. In addition, they default to using their email rather than a personal one. As such billing and other useful contact is hindered until one goes into their system. I called in December, was put on hold for more than 30 minutes, put into a system that claimed I would be called back. That failed. The online chat finally worked. The Internet service works, but the company's customer service leaves much to be desired. I'd use other services but they lack the speed of the connection.

Description of Work: I was using Comcast in Sandy Springs however I don't think that makes a difference. I set up an appt. to have tech come out and install basic cable package and wireless internet quoted at $29.99 per month. I bought a brand new modem prior so I wouldn't have to lease. Tech showed up and first issue was his pants were illfitting and he wore a bunch of stuff on his belt so I had to look at about 5 inches of his bare rear end the entire time he was in my house. Then he proceeded to hook up the cable part. He had to keep going back to the van to get different receivers as none would work. They were all different shapes/sizes. One he tried was a huge metal box about 1ft x 1.5 to 2 ft and it would never fit on top of a TV. He finally got one to work (not the huge one thank God) and told me they are all refurbished pieces of crap. You never get a new one although you are a new customer paying to have new service installed. Then he went on to the internet. He had opened the box with my new router but then told me it was my rounter so I would have to hook it up? I was paying almost $50 for an installation fee for what? I had to get my 16 yo daughter to help me and we had to read the directions, hook the router to the computer, locate the network, find the passcode etc. So she was subjected to his nasty rear end as well. He then called into Comcast to activate the wireless but it wouldn't work. He kept telling us we needed to do things that we weren't sure how to do, and so we had to keep reading the router instructions as he would say "it's your router, you figure it out" Finally after being subjected to his bad attitude and his bare rear end for over 4.5 hours I told him to forget it and get out. As he was packing up he called the office and bad mouthed us to whomever he spoke with, and then proceeded to make rude comments to us while getting his stuff together. I tried to call my current provider (whom I hadn't cut off yet thank God) and see if they could come close to matching that price. They couldn't so I decided to see if Comcast could remedy the situation. After several phone calls involving "pick a number" h*** and hours on hold, I tried emailing the supposed top dog listed on the website. After several emails and apologies someone finally called me this past Friday and apologized and said he could send someone out to set it up correctly. So he 3way called their customer service to set up a new install. However I was told by that person that the package I wanted 6 days prior was now at $59.99 from $29.99. I was shocked - I ordered it when it was that price, I was home to have it installed when it was that price and they sent an incompetent person then it took a whole week to actually get to talk to a person regarding the experience. I spent at least 10 to 12 hours of my time over that week dealing with it. Now they want to penalize me. Needless to say I didn't have them come back and I won't ever. I bought a new Smart TV and an antennea and will create my own "basic package" with local and Netfiix/Hulu etc. I'll save thousands.

Their price was rather high until I replaced the TV. That particular time there was a kiosk there and they said that they could adjust the price. They did adjust the price after they bundled the internet and cable. I was initially paying them $151 and now it dropped to $121. We had some hassles with the cable box. They sent me the cable boxes and we couldn’t get them to work. The reason why they wouldn’t work was because they required a different cable box in this area. They finally sent me some new cable boxes which I installed. I got them to fix it and get it running after talking to them. The first time I spent about an hour and a half or two hours on the phone trying to get them to get the things to work. Then they suddenly realized that those cable boxes that I had were not compatible with the system in this area. I was really annoyed.

I hate their services. It took them 12 visits to come to my house and get the service right. They brought the wrong equipment, they did the installation wrong, and I got the wrong plan. There was absolutely nothing complicated about what we wanted; they just messed it up. They were horrible. I would get rid of them as soon as I can, but there happens to be no alternative in my area.

I don't think their customer service is as great as it could be. I think, for the most part, that they have too many fees if you want to change your service. The internet speed is good. I will continue to use this service.

Evidently it was multiple people who were working on it but I never saw the speck on one. But the first one was not able to repair it but last night it was repaired. They said it was an outside thing and that they should leave a message. They did not leave a message. I assume they came anyway it is working. Overall it was a positive experience. The fact that I had trouble in the first place was frustrating because it was not something that we did. They felt that something would have happened to the wires, even simple like a squirrel getting at it. But they came quickly once I called and that it was fixed the next day was positive.
Description of Work: On the 31st January I had some trouble with my internet and I had Comcast to fix it for me.

They couldn't set me up immediately, because my old phone company was blocking the port. That wasn't Comcast's fault. The service has been fine, they came out on time and I have had no problems with the equipment. I think it's a great deal and I'm very happy.

I am very happy with the service and the channels. Every once in awhile there are problems with a few channels as far as quality, but it is intermittent. The high definition channels are fantastic and wish there were more of them. Everything has been wonderful.

It is pretty fast for a cable modem. I am able to download songs in seconds and movies in minutes. I have only had one issue with connection, but 95% of the time it's fine. I think the price is fair for what I get.
