Pam The Plumber

Fantastic. Pam was great on the phone and was able to diagnose what the issue was just from my descriptions. Her guys showed up on time and kicked ass. They were incredibly friendly, courteous and professional. I will most definitely hire them again.

She was very pleasant and helpful and gave me the advice readily. I would definitely use her again.

Came to our home to give us an estimate. You could smell the cigarette smoke a block away. It took 2 weeks to get an estimate from her. Very unprofessional. I inquired about maybe having some minor tile work done in our bathroom she recommend someone that came with her. He was 3 times higher that anyone we have had into our home. I personally cannot recommend this provider for plumbing services.

Pam and crew performed a great job completing the job. A little hard to contact by phone and responded after I text her but found out she was a little sick at the time. Her crew was very knowledgeable and Pam price for the repairs were lower than the two other plumbers that gave me estimates. Everything we agreed upon pertaining to the job she was true to her word. I highly recommend Pam the Plumber for any plumbing needs!!!

Repaired soldering. No problems since. Total cost was $742 because another person came in to repair drywall.

Pam and her assistant arrived on time, with the proper equipment and completed the work in one day. They were wonderful to work with. I wouldn't hesistate to call them again. Very professional.

We hired Pam based on advice from families in Decatur and our experience was beyond bad. She was hard to schedule, showed up late claiming to be high on cold medicine. She replaced our $5 thermocouple on our water heater. Fine and good. Then the weirdest thing happened. Somehow she thought it was time to give our cat a haircut. She came in the house to get payment and noticed our cat had matted fur on her neck. She asked for a pair of scissors and foolishly I handed her the scissors and she proceeded to take them to trim its fur and 10 seconds later the scissors went by her neck and lacerated our cat's neck. She said awww wow I'm really sorry here let me take care of this and I asked her to leave. And we rushed the cat to Clairmont animal hospital and they closed the wound up. We heard nothing after the incident. Then 6 weeks later she called and said she felt bad about what happened and offered to pay for the bill. I know she didn't intend to do this, but the experience showed a lack of judgement and sense of what is appropriate behavior with a customer. It was so weird, we can't believe it happened. Please find another plumber.

We had been told this was an emergency by a handyman who discovered the problem, so I called around to find someone who could come right away. Pam called me back promptly, which was nice, but wasn't very professional. She sent an employee out, and he addressed the inside issue, but not the crawl space. I talked with Pam, and she said they could return to finish the work. I didn't hear from them, and had to call several times to ask whether they were coming back. Eventually, I called another company to finish the job.

Pam herself answers the phone when you call. She came out within a day to inspect the burst line, and had given me advice and ideas over the phone. She told us about getting our bill reduced with the county once she completed the work, which saved us thousands! She inspected the line and found the break. She recommended replacing the entire line except for the area under the driveway, which would be very expensive and disruptive. It was interesting that she initially told us that the entire line needed to be replaced, but then said that the area under the driveway was just fine. She relocated the line to reduce the expense (shorter distance) and also fixed our water outlet. I had also asked her to do a couple of other small tasks while she was there. She did part of it, but not and seemingly forgot to complete the other work. Overall, the work was good and I think she is honest. Her team is good and polite. They cleaned up nicely. She can be slow to respond to phone calls, and it takes a few days to get her out there. I would use her again for jobs where I have time, but not for anything urgent.

Pam and her helpers came out on a cold, wet Sunday to replace a service line leak. It was absolutely miserable and then it started raining. Not a good day to be working. Nevertheless, Pam did what she could until the dark and the wet caused her to have to stop. She came back the next day, pumped out the ditches that were full of water, and finished the job. Pam has been my plumber for over twenty years. She always gives a fair price and always does an excellent job. I've never had to worry about the quality of the work or bait'nswitch tactics. (see my other plumber review.) I will continue to use her for any plumbing issues I have in the future.

When I spoke with her initially she gave no indication that she was going to be too busy to schedule an appointment. After the initial phone consultation, it took about two weeks to get her on the phone to schedule the actual job appointment. I was about to find someone else to do the job, but she returned the call in the nick of time. After bothering to return my phone calls and set up an appointment, Pam did a fine job. If she'd been more organized with the administrative side of things, Pam would have gotten a perfect score.

Everything went smoothly. I wanted the new sink to be a surprise and she had it all done when it needed to be.

Pam is fine to work with but a little unconventional. Her invoices come by text unless asked for another format. She communicated with the tenant and did not copy me. I did not know what was going on. She did a good job. Next time I would ask for the basic price for what I asked her to do. There were a few extras that I did not really need. For example, she replaced the old hose bibs and cleaned up some pipes in the basement. Ok, but I did not know she was going to do all that.

Provider was difficult to reach and failed to follow through.

Pam came out on a Monday gave me a few options and the cost of each option. The next day they arrive on time and were done in a matter of hours. I would use them again if I have any issues with plumbing. If you need someone who will work with you and guarantee there work they're the company to call

She lives close and she was available to come when I needed her to so I used her, plus she had good reviews. She was just good and on time. I would use her again.

I can see why Pam the Plumber gets such great reviews receiving an "A" from 35 out of 40 reviews. She was very pleasant, personable and friendly on the phone when we first spoke. What I now see is why there was such an extreme range in her reviews with the remaining 5 reviewers giving her an "F". Pam the Plumber asked me to text my contact info and address (which I did immediately), and that she would get back to me with a day and time we could meet so that she could assess my plumbing problem and get to work. I did share with her that my problem was serious. I never heard back from Pam the Plumber. Very unprofessional. This is why I am one of those folks that didn't have the "pleasure" of having Pam the Plumber do my plumbing work. So I give Pam an "F".

I recently purchased a 1951 bungalow that was advertised as "new plumbing throughout." I learned that meant inside the house, but not from the water meter to the house. Sunday night I had a water main break in my front yard. Pam came and cut the water off at the meter. She returned with a crew on Monday and replaced my old galvanized pipe from 1951 with copper pipe. She saved my grass, recently planted plants, and returned on Tuesday with pine straw so that the yard looks almost undisturbed. Great plumber and her crew of workers is friendly and know their business. I am a very happy customer and will definitely use Pam The Plumber again.

Called this provider twice for two different issue. Both time could not make it and refer me to somebody else that was not on Angie's List.

On time and quick. Very polite. Job done well. Pam consulted about a possible replacement for the toilet, and I plan to use her service to install that, too. I recommend this service highly.

My experience with Pam The Plumber was fine.

They came really quick. I called them and they were there an hour later. They were in a perfect timing. The guy that was there was really nice. I thought the price was reasonable. They did a really good job.

I explained my situation, asking if someone could come out the next morning. The gentleman on the phone explained the two things that I had to do tonight to cut the power and stop the flow of the water, as a safety issue because the motor had already burned up. He was extremely polite. At this point, I am not going to install another faucet like the one that just broke, but if I do, I will call this company,

They worked on out rental house a few months ago and our house a month ago. She's easy to work with to get the job done and done well. Instead of digging around the house she was able to go through the slab to do the plumbing that we needed done. I spent about $3000.

I called Pam the Plumber services due to a sewer line backup. I was instructed by Pam to turn off all water lines in efforts of avoiding sewer backup into my home. When David arrived he was very knowledgeable to what needed to be done after I informed him of what I believe was the problem; a wire toilet deodorizer that hangs on the outside of the toilet which ultimately fell inside the toilet. In addition, and as a single parent he did not have a problem with me watching the services rendered and the multiple questions I had. He dug a hole in the front of the house on top of the sewer pipeline, eventually broke open the pipe to expose the actual area of concern, placed multiple cable lines inside the exposed pipeline thus relieving the line of its backed up status. At which point, I was able to see the line was free to operate properly not only through the exposed pipeline, but also through the city line as well to insure the problem was fixed. Once he retrieved all the cable out of the pipeline the wire to the toilet deodorizer was attached and discarded. The cost was initially $285, but with the coupon I printed offline I saved $25 bringing my total payment to $260. I would not have any problems recommending them to any of my friends!
