Pam The Plumber

Pam's guys bungled our water heater installation so bad that we have to call the county out twice. Ultimately we had to have someone else do the job. The first time they came out the water heater was installed incorrectly and natural gas was leaking out. It was approaching the explosive limit when the county arrived. We had to evacuate urgently. The second time they came out they basically made no changes and told us it was done. A second plumber reviewed their work and said it was too dangerous to proceed with as is. I would warn everyone not to use Pam.

The work was done professionally. I spoke with Pam to arrange the service, two experts arrived on time the next morning, and the work was completed quickly. Quite pleased with the service, and would hire again.

Terrible! My hot water heater stopped working. I asked a neighbor for a referral and he said to call Pam. I did and her crew came out that day. They suggested replacing the thermalcouple instead of the 12+ yo water heater. I said I didn't might doing that if it was the right thing to do. Nope, they said it would fine. Well, it wasn't. 24 hours later and I had no hot water again. I called and left a message on Sunday (not expecting a return call) until Monday. No call on Monday so I left another message. I tried again on Tuesday. I never got a return call. Very very disappointing.

Who knows how the work went as I have yet to receive a call to schedule an repair and my hot water is stilll brown. Will be contacting someone outside of Angie’s list this time.

We had a weekend emergency and Pam the Plumber far exceeded my expectations! Our old hot water heater burst Sat night and flooded our finished basement. After wet vacuuming all night, I called Pam Sunday morning...half expecting a call back monday...but she answered and helped me through the entire process. ...she also gave me great price! I know because I had been researching them for a while...just wish I hadn't waited. First, safety check... She reminded me to turn off the tank and the gas line (obvious when you think about it, but not something you always think about in the middle of the night while standing in water) Second, she called a water remediation company for me (they arrived in less than 1 hour). She explained the insurance claim process, but when I told her I probably wouldn't make a claim (unless it's really expensive) she notified them so that they would give us the self-pay rate. Third, she sent in one of her plumbers (arrived in about an 45 min) to disconnect the tank and seal the line because even though the tank was empty, water keep dripping in from the pipes through out the rest of the house (cold water bleeds into the hot water pipes through the shower faucets when there is no pressure). Monday morning, when the supply house opened, they picked up our new tank and we had hot water that evening! I can't stress enough how nice it was to not have to spend all morning looking for a plumber who will answer the phone on the weekend and send someone right away. Plus I didn't have to waste time reading reviews on water remediation companies, calling for quotes, etc...I could focus on moving furniture, etc. On top of all of that, she is very pleasant to work with and she really knows her stuff (she'll talk you through the evolution of a particular brand of tank if you ask)...and she really cares about doing the right thing (as you can see above). Stop looking... You've found your plumber!

Would not seek service from Pam the plumber again.

Two out of the three projects got done that I wanted done. Put in an updated Washing machine box and fixed a faucet with a hole in the pipe. The main project was a challenge and was not able to be completed, not their fault( installing a utility sink in the basement and clearing a blocked drain line). The house is on a septic tank and there is separate drain for grey water going to a dry well. Turns out the drain line to the dry well has collapsed( between the house and the drywell) and will need to be completely replaced. The guys were very patient and were finally able to figure out the issue, after much time. Working with Pam was great and will use again in the future.

Mike was professional and knowledgeable about the problem. Installed new parts and completed the job quickly.

Pam and her crew were amazing. They finished the job in just a few days and our were professional, knowledgeable and overall amazing to work. I highly recommend them!

It was difficult to reach Pam--they were very busy--but once I did, she put me in touch quickly with Mike. He came the next morning, a Saturday. He found the problem promptly and rebuilt the tank . There was no surcharge for the weekend trip.

Pam answered the phone and sent someone out the next day. Estimate was on par with the repairs and job was completed successfully.

I loved Pam's honest and "tell it like it is" attitude that she demonstrated over the phone. She sold me on her belief in using the best quality parts and "doing things the right way." Pam was able to schedule Mike to come out for later on in the day. He got straight to work and impressed me with the install. During his time at my home he also gave me tips for the winter and checked my hot water heater to make sure it was up to code. Thank you, Pam and Mike!

Pam talked to me about the situation with my old plumbing beforehand and asked for pictures to assess the type of plumbing that was present. She sent her associate to come out to take care of the sink. Our bathroom has old galvanized plumbing that is original to the house and it scared off one other plumber who told me it would all have to be replaced. Her associate was great. He was able to take out the cartridges in the faucet handles and replace the rubber washers. The cartridges were pretty stuck be he was knowledgeable about how to gently get them free. I was very excited to not have to replumb my bathroom at this time.

After one plumber failed to make the appointment, I called Pam the Plumber and spoke to Pam. She was very professional and was able to get a guy out the same day, which was great since I was already at home waiting for the other person who never showed. The plumber arrived on time as expected, made the repair which looked great and functioned properly, and I had no problems. The cost was at the high end of what I expected to pay but it was discussed in advance. I would use them again.

It didn't. I called and emailed twice and no one responded or called back.

I talked to her, but I didn't work with her. She was super nice.

I could handle pretty much everything except the down and dirty, real plumbing to re-route for the new faucet. I got quotes for far more work than I was asking for, when they finally made it out to give me an estimate. Pam's associate came right out, knew exactly what I was talking about, gave me a reasonable price and we set up a time to do the work. It was great. I recommended them to neighbors. I don't know if they did the work, but I will keep recommending them whenever the topic comes up.

Pam the Plumber kept in contact and advised me the best way to approach the repair. Pam was great and I would not hesistate to call her again!

Everything went very smoothly. The problem was fixed.

Pam was great, very responsive and easy to talk to. She got me a final price over the phone. Mike and Aaron showed up right away Saturday morning.They were very professional. It was a joy watching them. They had over 65 years experience between the 2 of them. I will use Pam's Plumbing for all my plumbing needs.

Excellent customer service - technicians were very knowlegable

Pam talked me through removing the current unit and reviewed pictures to determined that the current disposal was never installed properly. Given it was 16 years old - I decided to replace it. Thanks to Pam I was able to quickly and easily install the new disposal and resume my life as it was. She was knowledgeable and responsive. Her dedication to resolving my issue was rather impressive, considering I wasn't even a customer. I owe her a big thank you. When I need plumbing repairs or service I will certainly call her.
