Empire Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. was founded in 1985 and is an independent dealer for American Standard, Amana, Daikin, Bradford White and many more product lines. We solve heating, cooling, water heating and indoor air quality problems for our customers. Our technicians have earned the Angie's List Super Service Award 15 times. Our main office is located in Decatur, Georgia with a satellite office in Cumming, Georgia to serve the greater north Atlanta area. We service, install, and repair all makes and models of heating and air conditioning equipment including ductless systems and heat pumps. To maintain our high standards, all of our senior technicians are NATE certified. Together, our team has more than 200 years heating and air conditioning experience. Empire performs background checks, random drug tests and even personality profiles along with continuous customer service training to ensure you have a pleasant and worry-free experience. We are active in the contracting community and participate with the Air Conditioning Contractors of America, Conditioned Air Association of Georgia, MAACA, ASHRAE and other professional organizations to stay on top of the issues that concern you. Description of Work: The technician showed up to do annual maintenance on my air conditioning unit. He left dead leaves and trash in the fan area and did not change the internal filter. All of these were advertised on the deal and were not performed. I will be using Cunningham Associates for all future maintenance and repairs.

I reviewed the service history and did find where the technician noted the filter was brand new and he didn't replace it. He did replace with your approval the contractor that was pitted and used the preferred pricing for compensation of same. We would be glad to return and repeat the service at no charge and remove any leaves or debris that may have accumulated in the condenser.

Description of Work: The technician assessed the problem, water under the carpet, and cleared the line. I'm not sure he did a complete check-up, which is the service I paid for. The unit rapidly cycles on and off. I would have thought the rapid on/off cycling would have been covered under the check-up but it didn't appear to be. Bottom line-my carpet was wet, an Empire tech came out and he cleared a drainage line and now my carpet is dry.

Description of Work: They came out and looked at our lower A/C unit. It was discovered that we have a leak (not serious) and were recommended services to find the leak and fix it. The unit is older, but still functions, so we declined the further services.

Refrigerant leaks have several solutions. We offer five levels of repair to consider from just charge it up and see how long it lasts to a full search and repair which may include replacement of a major component depending on where the leak is. Most older units that have a minor leak would be a candidate for a wait and see approach. Only time will tell if that was a good choice. Sometimes we find a unit that leaks only a small amount and it stays pretty consistent. We also find units where the leak progressively gets bigger over time.
