About us

Empire Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. was founded in 1985 and is an independent dealer for American Standard, Amana, Daikin, Bradford White and many more product lines. We solve heating, cooling, water heating and indoor air quality problems for our customers. Our technicians have earned the Angie's List Super Service Award 15 times. Our main office is located in Decatur, Georgia with a satellite office in Cumming, Georgia to serve the greater north Atlanta area. We service, install, and repair all makes and models of heating and air conditioning equipment including ductless systems and heat pumps. To maintain our high standards, all of our senior technicians are NATE certified. Together, our team has more than 200 years heating and air conditioning experience. Empire performs background checks, random drug tests and even personality profiles along with continuous customer service training to ensure you have a pleasant and worry-free experience. We are active in the contracting community and participate with the Air Conditioning Contractors of America, Conditioned Air Association of Georgia, MAACA, ASHRAE and other professional organizations to stay on top of the issues that concern you. Very well.
Description of Work: I have an old AC unit. Empire does a good job of maintaining it through routine annual services. Costs vary per service. This last service was a little high because they had to clean the coils. Normally, the service is around $80.

The technician came when scheduled, and he was efficient, polite, and the price was as expected.

I was very satisfied with this initial service. The technician was prompt and all contact with the Empire administrative staff was pleasant. I will absolutely call them again when I need service.
Description of Work: Our 12 year old heater failed to work properly, i.e. heat in the house was lowering. I called to make an appointment and the person from Empire told me that he would take my information and someone would call me back shortly. Within 15 minutes, someone from Empire called to set up the appointment, but the heater had begun to work in the meantime. I scheduled an appointment for a maintenance check for several days later. The technician was a little late due to a lengthy call before us, but the office called to let us know that he would be late. The technician was very pleasant and knowledgeable, and performed the check in a short time.

THE ESTIMATOR, CHRIS, ARRIVED ON TIME. HE LISTENED TO OUR NEEDS AND MADE SUGGESTIONS ABOUT THE UNITS AND FEATURES THAT WOULD ACHIEVE THE COMFORT WE DESIRED FOR THE LOWEST OPERATING COST. HE EMAILED AN ESTIMATE WITHIN 24 HOURS. WE SIGNED A CONTRACT AND THE INSTALLATION TEAM ARRIVED ON TIME ON THE APPOINTED DAY. THEY DID GREAT WORK, REMOVED THE OLD UNIT AND INSTALLED THE NEW IN ONE DAY. ONE INSTALLER RETURNED THE NEXT DAY TO MOVE THE VENT. OUR EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY WAS VERY POSITIVE.

THE EMPIRE PEOPLE WERE GREAT! THEY WERE COURTEOUS AND PROFESSIONAL FROM THE FIRST PHONE CALL ONWARD. WHEN I EXPLAINED MY PROBLEM, THEY PUT ME ON FIRST CALL WITHIN 2 DAYS OF THE CALL. THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN WAS PROMPT AND PROFESSIONAL. HE EXPLAINED TO ME THAT THE COMPRESSOR WAS MUCH OLDER THAN I HAD BEEN TOLD BY THE PREVIOUS OWNERS, AND THAT IT HAD BEEN ON ITS LAST LEGS FOR A LONG TIME. DAVE THE TECHNICIAN WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND VERY INFORMATIVE ABOUT MY HVAC SYSTEMS. THERE WAS NO PRESSURE TO SIGN A MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT, BUT I LIKED HIM, AND DECIDED THAT I WANTED TO HAVE A CONTINUING RELATIONSHIP WITH THIS COMPANY. I WAS IMPRESSED BY THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE.
Description of Work: ONE OF MY AC UNITS WAS NOT FUNCTIONING. I FIRST ASKED THE TECHNICIAN TO SERVICE ONE UNIT, BUT THEN ASKED TO HAVE BOTH EVALUATED SINCE IT WAS THE BEGINNING OF THE SEASON. AS I SUSPECTED, ONE UNIT NEEDED A FREON CHARGE. THE SECOND UNIT WAS OK, AND DID NOT NEED ANYTHING.
