They were on time, and they were very good. I was very impressed with them. They explained everything to me, and gave me suggestions on how to prevent this in the future. My filters were dirty, and I needed more freeon. The ice melted, they added the freeon and I am now very happy. I will call them again if I need them in the future.It was worth every penny.

Very impressed with the service man Clinton who was professional and courteous. It was fortunate that he was familiar with our condo building and therefore our a/c unit. Moreover, he know where to get the key for the roof.

Empire did an excellent job. They completed the job, which was a total replacement, in less that two full days. They arrived on time and worked quickly and efficiently. The crew was remarkably courteous and polite. They removed all of the old appliances and old duct work in less than a day and removed all of the old insulation and hardware immediately. By the second day, they installed all of the new duct work, all new vents and boots, and both the AC and heating units. I love the new system -- it's perfect for our house and for our needs. Empire did an excellent job for us and I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Chris Adolph was the sales representative who worked with us and helped us decide what system was best for our needs. I highly recommended Empire Heating and Air Conditioning.

We didn't end up using them for the job. It was too expensive, but it wasn't their issue.

Very professional, straight-forward with no hard-sell. Some minor issues (arrived without some key equipment which meant a trip back to the office; did not leave written instructions or an accompanying handbook on the specific unit), but overall we were pleased with the service from Empire.

After inspecting the furnace, he told me that the furnace needed to be replaced. He said that he could not leave the pilot light lit because it would be a safety hazard. I was sold on needing a new furnace. I called one other company to get a quote on a new furnace. This company also has a very good Angie's list rating. The gentleman who came out checked the furnace and told me he could fix it with a part he had in his vehicle. I watched him work and he fixed the furnace, lit the pilot light and checked for carbon monoxide emissions. The gas detector showed no carbon monoxide present. The furnace was fixed for 168 dollars vs. the 2050 to 2600 dollars quoted by Empire. Making the call for a second quote saved me a bundle. I don't know if the Empire rep just misdiagnosed the problem or was trying to pull the wool over my eyes and make a big sale vs. a small repair job. I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt. Lesson here: getting a second opinion could save mucho $$$.

The technician came out on time and climbed up into the attic and then down into the crawlspace to do a full inspection of all three natural gas furnaces. He told me that the filters were good for another six months. He explained some minor design flaws and told me of possible future maintenance issues. He explained their service contract, which I didn't sign at this time.

These people have been nothing short of amazing. I requested six bids on a replacement system for my almost 40-year old house. Empire and several others were selected on the basis of Angie's List data. Empire was by far already the highest rated. There were several small companies whose representatives were obviously experienced, well-trained and, I believe, honest (they correctly identified installation flaws in the existing system). Others seemed more interested in a quick buck. Empire, and representative Chris Adolph in particular, easily showed themselves to be the most knowledgeable of the six. In the final analysis, they also provided far more value per dollar than any of the competition. I was very fortunate to be able to obtain a highly sophisticated and, according to "the" consumer magazine, one of the most reliable systems available. The installer (THANK YOU Keith) and crew were also EXTREMELY professional; their work is nothing short of absolutely first class.

The workers arrived on time and sometimes stayed late to finish so we wouldn't be without A/C. It took about a week to install and the workers were very efficient and nice. Martin (the owner) honored the Angie's List coupon twice since we were getting 2 units!

Everything went smoothly. The company had estimated that we needed a 3 ton A/C unit, but the manual J calculation indicated a 3 1/2 ton unit was required. They gave us that unit at the same price. They came on time and completed the work in the time-frame they estimated. So far, the system is working well.

I would call this guy for any job regarding my Air Conditioner. He is very polite, punctual and honest. The price is really good too. If anybody would ask me for a great air conditioning man I would definitely recommend him.

It didn't cost me anything for them to come and do all of the air ducts because I bought a heat pump from them and the ducts were not compatible with it, so they re-did the ducts for free. I really like them; they were helpful and came right out after the heat pump to do the ducts. I didn't have to wait a long time. They have excellent customer service and were professional.

They are always on time and well mannered. They really just check them to make sure they are running properly and that is about it. We haven't had anything go wrong with the yet. They are clean and respectful. We have never had any problems with the workers or the company. They know what they are doing and it doesn't take them long either when they are here.

It was pouring down rain when he came and he went with an umbrella to clean the units with a hose. He was very nice and did seemed to get the job done. He came when he was supposed to. Our unit is working just fine now.

I like this company because they are very professional. They cleaned up afterwards and didn t leave a mess. I called them back because I had a small problem and they quickly fixed it. Overall, I m pretty happy with this company.

This company has great customer service and is very polite and professional. They sent Billy out to diagnose the problem and he gave me some options for new equipment. He answered all my questions - and wore foot covers! The system was installed 4 days later. The installers were on time, let me know what was going on (they had to remove some shrubs). I noticed afterwards that the bill that they gave me was incorrect. When I emailed their office, I got a response and they sent back my voided check and a new bill. They gave a $350 discount for Angie's List customers and deducted the amount of the service call ($78). I also noticed that they had not installed a programmable thermostat as I understood I would get. When I again emailed the company, they called quickly to have Billy come out and change out the thermostat. Although everything did not go perfectly smooth, each time I brought up an issue they were very friendly, polite and quick about fixing the problem - no hassles.

Toward the end of last winter, we had difficulty obtaining sufficient heat from our furnace. We decided to postpone any work until later. A couple of weeks ago, our air conditioner stopped cooling. Based on Angie's list ratings, we called Empire. A polite service man named Dave showed up promptly. He looked at our inside unit and pointed out where the furnace had completely shorted out - we were lucky it hadn't caught fire. He also pointed out problems with the cooling coils, and said the unit had a freon leak in it. He said he could do the repairs, but he said that due to the overall age and relative inefficiency of both units, he would strongly recommend replacement. He estimated repairs at about $2,500; replacement, he said, would probably be between $4,500 and $5,500. He asked that we talk to Chris, a company representative, to obtain an estimate, which we did. Both Dave and Chris came to the follow-up meeting, and Chris explained what would be needed. We accepted the estimate.

This is a great company. Chris explained all products and helped us decide what was best for our situation and 1950s house. He followed up with emails, calls and visits until and after the job was finished. Greg and Chad arrived on time, were efficient and extremely skilled, worked quietly and with respect for us and our pets. You couldn't ask for two better installers to work with. Everything works great, equipment and price were exactly as quoted.

Everything went fine, with the exception of the service technician told me that it was his first day, I was really worried about that. I did not want a novice working on my HVAC system. He seemed confused while evaluating my situation and had to call his office. I did not receive the $20.00 off for using the coupon on Angie's List so I will not call this company again.

From the sales team to the installation team, this company's employees are wonderful. I heard about them from another company we used and I am glad to have found such a wonderful service in my area to do heating and air conditioning work.

We were quite pleased with Empire. We found them to be highly communicative with us at all times. They were very accurate about the work they did and we had no major problems or difficulties with them at all.

Arrived ahead of appointed time. Installers were courteous and cleaned up area they worked in. A/C and hot water heater are working well but have not had furnace on yet. Installers did not replace condensation pump as in original agreement but sales rep came out later and installed it himself.
