I scheduled for the crown molding to be installed on June 12, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. During the initial scheduling, the owner's wife mentioned that her husband might show up between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. because of traffic. I told her that was fine. On the morning of June 12th, I was up and ready at 8:00 just in case, the installer would be early. Unfortunately, at 9:00, no one was here and no one from the company called. Finally at 9:26, I called AKRC to ask if they were having directional problems getting to my home. She told me that her husband was running behind schedule due to the fact that he had to go to another job before coming to my home. I asked her how much longer and she indicated it would be about another half-hour. At approximately 10:19, I called Angie's List customer service, since this was my first time using this service, to ask for some assistance/guidance. While on the phone with the customer service representative, the owner had called and left me a message asking for a return call. I called the office and left a message indicating that today was not going to work due to the lateness. The wife returned the call and said that her husband was still running behind schedule. I told her that I would need to reschedule. She told me that she would call her husband to see where he was and how long he was going to be. Her husband, aka, the owner/installer, called me to tell me he was having problems getting the crown molding from the warehouse and he couldn't guarantee that he would be at my home in the next 45 minutes since he was still in Cumming and I'm in Duluth, GA. I then asked him how long of a process is the installation. He told me probably three hours. I told him that would work if they could be done in three hours. He said he would be there at noon. At around 11:21, he called me back to tell me that he didn't want to be rushed getting the job done with this humidity and would like to reschedule. I told him that I would call his wife to reschedule. However, I have decided that rescheduling is probably not the best course of action for me to take. My overall impression is that I wasn't important enough for the company to have the supplies on hand; I wasn't important enough for the company to call me at 9:00 to indicate there was a problem about being on time; I wasn't important enough for them to show up and do the job after they said they were going to do the job. Every customer is important and should be treated as such; no customers equals no business. Thank you for your prompt assistance in this refund process.

It went well. Provider was responsive to my concerns.

These guys are awesome no doubt. Friendly and professional these guys will tell you the truth about what needs to be done and then will do it for a great price. They will go and either help you pick out the materials you need or they will go pick it up themselves. I am having them come back this week to do more work and will continue to use them for as long as I need stuff fixed on my house.

Scheduled appointment for the 28th. They were to remove the wallpaper and do painting in the home. On Wednesday no one showed up. Called them periodically and they stated he was on his way. They kept giving a different time. They then said they would be there waited 1/12 hours no response or call back. They then wanted to reschedule. I allowed them to do so. They came on thursday. They were late on Thursday. Three of the workers arrived. When they arrived two of them worked for an hour while the owner left to get a steamer to take off the wallpaper. He was not prepared for the job. He then stated that he had a deal for us and talked to us about how he had a cash job and another job to do. That he would leave the one worker and then come back tomorrow and do the rest of the job and would even do a little more time due to the inconvience they would make sure the job was completed meaning the painting of the three bathrooms and kitchen. The one worker worked for 8 hours. They asked if they could come the next afternoon. I let him know that we did not have that next afternoon available. He said he would be there in the morning. They came late the second day (today) they did not arrive until 10:45 they called and said they were going to breakfast so would be late. I also learned that the gentleman that stayed was new to this work and a day laborer. They painted two ceilings and left again. He stated that I was going to give him a bad review anyway so he left without finishing the job.

He was a nice guy but seems to be a little overloaded on work. He was hard to get in touch with.

I got a couple quotes from others but decided to go with this company because they had a reasonable price and were easy to get ahold of and talk to about the work needing to be done. I trusted them, they were honest people. They were able to do a variety of work that needed to be done and knock out several small items so I didn't have to hire different companies to do the different repairs. They got started and completed the work in a reasonable amount of time. They came back a couple times to finish up repairs. It was also great that they had a license for the work being done. They wrote out a detailed invoice that listed exactly what they had done for my own records and to show to the original inspector. Overall they were great to work with and I would hire them again!

It hasn't gone anywhere. The one time they showed up to take a look at our problem areas we asked for quotes on installation of crown molding and if they knew anyone that did interior painting. To date AKRC has not giving us a quote for the crown molding and twice they have given us date and time of when they will do the work but they never show up and our last phone call was not returned. 5/19/2014 The AKRC representative I spoke with was unapologetic and merely provided excuses, my favorite was that they were too busy due to the Angie's List special, the one we purchased. They are so busy they want to piecemeal the work so it looks as if they are getting everyone taken care of. It's just an illusion. Anyway it's all a moot point since the representative didn't care for my truthful review. "After receiving your review today on Angies List, I think it is in the best interest of us both if we part ways, you contact them (Angie's List) for a refund and hire someone else." She fails to add this to her response below.

A couple of honest mistakes/miscommunications regarding scheduling resulted in not being able to schedule a compatible time. Overall, they were courteous and replied to my emails promptly. I probably would have waited, because of their A rating, but I ordered for my son's home and timing was an issue for him was unable to wait any longer and found someone else to do the work.

I felt very glad to know that I did not have a problem and that they did not do work that was not needed.

Arrived promptly on the agreed date and time. I explained what needed to be done and he and his partner got right to work. They worked the 4 hours that I had purchased through Angie's List and said they would return the following morning to finish up. They showed up on time, as promised. They worked another couple of hours, cleaned up, and left. I'm very satisfied.

Bought a coupon for 3 hours of home improvement. Aaron and his associate were here when promised and did the work as promised, which was replacing some rotten boards and patching some holes on the exterior of the house prior to having it painted. He/they were polite, professional and did a great job. I would not hesitate to recommend them or use them again.

This was scheduled for Monday, March 31st at noon. He sent me an email at 11am stating a family member went into the hospital the day before and he couldn't make it. We rescheduled for today, April 7th at noon. He shows up a little late, looks at the problem, comes with nothing (no tools) and says he has to go buy weather striping and that he'll be back at 1:30. I get a voicemail at 2:25p stating the he won't be able to do it so he suggests I get a refund. No respect of my time. All around unprofessional.

Aaron provided excellent customer service. He performed all of the tasks on the list. I was pleased with the quality and his professionalism. He was very easy going and I didn't feel like he was there to sell me extra services.

We spoke March 16 and made an appt for Saturday, so I drove an hour and a half to accomodate him. He didn’t call or show up. I got his email Saturday night, and he said he didn't have my phone number and he'd had car trouble. I thought I'd given it to him or that it would be saved in his cell from when I called him. I called again Monday morning and have not heard back.

Aaron was extremely responsive from the moment I contacted him through the completion of the job. He had great attention to detail and did a fantastic job. I really appreciated his follow up and sincere concern that I was happy with the service provided. I would definitely recommend him and will call on him again in the future. It was refreshing to do business with someone with such integrity and someone you felt completely comfortable and confident in.

My experience was awesome. I left a message and he responded almost immediately to my calls. He cam out the same sday for estimate. He came out the next morning 8 and he was promp and on time. Stayed on proj all day until it was complete, even went back to HD to get different wood I had changed my mind but he gladly went back to home depot. window seat looks great its werll constructed, he was at my home for 10+ hours working straight through the job. He asked my opinion Every step of the way on even the smallest details.

Aaron and his wife Verena showed up on time and worked getting the cabinets in place. this was not an easy matter as our kitchen plans changed throughout the installation. Whatever problems appeared Aaron and Verena were able to over come. I cannot tell you how please I was with his straight forward approach and honest replies. I never was concerned about the outcome as I knew he would come back as often as I needed and I plan on calling him back in the future. Worth every dime I paid him, wish I could say the same for the plumber I hired but that a different story.
