Description of Work: The repairman was prompt and courteous when he arrived. He gave a thorough explanation of what was wrong with my dryer. Unfortunately, when it was time to pay I was told it was going to be $49.95. When I made the appointment a couple days before I was quoted $29.95.I told the repairman what the quote originally was supposed to be for but he said that was a mistake it was always $49.95. Of course, I did pay $49.95 but I was upset that the first quote was wrong. I did not have them repair my dryer because the part was going to be more than what the dryer was worth.

Description of Work: "The problem I reported to the owner was not fixed. Instead the repairman replaced a part and advised that the landlord needed to clean the vent. The spin cycle still does not work to wring out the water and the dryer takes hours to partially dry items. |After calling and emailing the owner the same repairman came to replace the part he had installed with the original one, but he had not called to let me know he was coming so the part had to be found. I was headed to work so he left and there has been no communication since. I am requesting a decline of the credit card charge and would not recommend them for washer and dryer repairs. "

Description of Work: The technician had called approximately 1 hour prior to arriving and arrived in a timely fashion. I was impressed by how quickly he was able to troubleshoot the problem and replace the start system on my refrigerator. |The technician was courteous, friendly and most of all knowledgeable. I was extremely satisfied with the service and would definitely call again if needed.

Description of Work: I was disappointed in the overall service on my washer and the diagnostic work on my washer and dryer. The tech determined early on that the drain pump needed to be replaced and I paid for that to be done. However, I expressed my concern over the washer constantly being off balance and I told him I thought the dryer needed to be tuned up or the belts checked due to noises it was making. He said once the washer was draining properly the clothes wouldn't be so heavy and all issues would be resolved. He was wrong. I had him come back out and he said the washer being off balance was due to my floor, though the washer has been in this room all along and there's been no issue and there is no damage. I asked if he could adjust the balancers and he said there's no such thing. The dryer was still never looked at. I will now be looking for another service to come out to finish the job. The issue with that is having to pay a service call and taking off work once again. Overall I was very disappointed in the service I received.

Description of Work: replace recirculating pump in my dishwasher

Description of Work: My dryer stopped working, so I called to have someone come. I was very happy that they said they could send someone out right away. After I called I kept trying to get my dryer to start, and eventually it did. When the repairman came he turned the dryer off and on and said it was working fine. I was surprised he didn't want to take it apart and at least look at what was going on, but he said he would take the $50 service charge, and if my dryer died again in the next two weeks or so to call him back and he would put the $50 towards a repair. The next day my dryer completely died and wouldn't start, so I called back. Again, I was very happy that they could send someone out that same day. It was the same repairman, and this time he looked at it and said that my motor was dead, and on a 15 year old dryer it wasn't worth repairing.

Description of Work: We had water leaking from the refrigerator every few days. We could not tell where it was coming from. Mike came out that afternoon after we made the call. Found problem quickly and showed us the problem and took care of it. Now we know what to watch for should it ever happen again. We have used this company in the past also.

Description of Work: Repaired microwave door so it wouldn't just drop down and also replaced face of icemaker. They both seem to be working but felt very uncomfortable with the technician. I would not use again.

Description of Work: Fix the fan switch for kitchen stove

Description of Work: Repaired dishwasher.

Description of Work: Our oven stopped working, although the gas burners on the stovetop were still working, as was everything else on the range. I searched Angie's List and found Advanced Appliances Repair. I went to their website and submitted a request on a Saturday afternoon, thinking it could wait until the workweek to do. (Note that I did include the Whirlpool appliance model number and serial number in my submission.) Surprisingly, I received a call back on Saturday afternoon, and he asked me a couple of questions to clarify what I reported. He advised me that he probably knew what the problem was (gas valve failure), along with the solution and an estimated cost. He showed up when he said he would, and after checking the gas valve, verified that it did need to be replaced (he also showed me how he could tell). He had the replacement part with him already (since I had given him the model & serial numbers), just in case it was needed, and was done in an hour and a half. He also checked an in issue with my washing machine, resolved it in 10 minutes and did not charge me an additional fee, although he did tell me that I would probably need some work on the washer in the next year or so.

Description of Work: I called Mike and discussed the problem and gave him the model number of my stove. With this information Mike was able to get the correct parts and then showed up promptly at the scheduled time. He did the repairs in less than an hour and cleaned up before leaving. The stove has been working flawlessly for several months since the repair. One very nice touch is that Mike called back several days after the repair to make sure that everything was working to my satisfaction.
