Response from Bowen's Septic & Environmental Services
Mr or Mrs. [Member name removed], I apologize if you were not informed or confused by our office or field crew when explaining costs. We charge a flat rate for pumping a septic tank except in the rare cases the tank is extremely deep or is inundated with debre. In the fees you spoke of are actually not fees on our part. When we pump a septic tank, we have to take the hazardous waste to a authorized sewage treatment facility which we are charged by the gallon to empty. The price you are charged is only to cover that cost, we do not collect any revenue on these costs whatsoever. Also, the digging fee exclusive to the quote you received. We listened to the conversation and dispatch did quote you 375 for pumping your septic which covers locating tank, uncovering the tank up to 18 inches beneath the surface, pumping and inspecting the tank as well. 90% of tanks are 12-18 inches deep and very rarely do we have to go beneath a deck to access the port to the septic tank. Our equipment is over two hundred thousand dollars and we have fees including fuel and manpower charges. This is for any service industry. I am sorry that if are men didn't go over these issues thoroughly, but they are in no way to create more revenue for our company. These charges that every septic company accrues. If you have any further questions or concerns please don't hesitate to give us a call. We have been in business for 28 years and family owned. Our customers are/is the most important part of our business and we do everything in our power to ensure exceptional work and customer service. For our lapse in communications, I will be sending out a year supply of septic treatment for you which will help break down solid waste in the tank which will in-turn help prolong life and lowers the possibility of back up in the future. Once again I apologize for the misunderstanding and if you would like us to explain further please give us a call. David Bowen's Septic Tank Service 770-483-7802
