Description of Work: Excellent from the kind lady answering my desperate call to the dispatcher that was patient with my indecisive and concerns about the rain and my lawn. The technician that did the job, John was kind efficient and extremely knowledgeable about the job. John crossed my lawn with his heavy backhoe without any damage completed the job in what I felt like record time. Oh yes the price was super reasonable. They all were stomp down great. I highly recommend Bowen’s .

+ -1 moreGuys, I called Bowen's Septic to pump out my tank. I don't know if it had been done before we bought the house, so we decided to get it taken care of. When the found the tank, David and Chad showed me that there was a problem.... a scary problem. They told me they could fix it right away. They were so friendly and were able to keep me calm as they resolved this issue. Real deal guys and I don't regret a thing. Was it more costly than I had hoped? yes. Would I call them again? Yes. And I will be calling them in three years to have it maintained. I am not usually the type to just go with the first answer I get from a company. I usually get two or three quotes. I didn't feel like I had to today. I truly felt that this was the best decision. I am thankful. I'll see Bowen in three years. ~CB of Conyers

+ -1 moreThe overall experience went extremely well. When scheduling the service, the customer service representative told the customer what the septic tank pump would cost. The technicians, Chad and David called when they were in route to my home. They arrived on-time, quickly located the septic tank and dug the area for pumping and removed the lid. The technician inspected and began pumping the septic tank. The customer was told the septic tank was in good shape and nothing additional was needed. The customer was pleased and satisfied the technicians did not try to offer or sell me additional products or services that were not needed. The original price was $375 but customer received $25.00 pumping services Angie's List Members discount.
Description of Work: The customer had 1,000 gallons septic tank which needed to be pumped for routine maintenance every three years.

+ -1 moreThey were the only company that was available after calling about 12 companies... After reading several other reviews, it is obvious that we overpaid by a few hundred dollars. However my demand was high and they showed up quickly and were ready to work. They did the following tasks: - Used a small back-hoe to dig up the dirt over the top of the septic tank port holes - Pumped out the contents - Removed some tree roots - Cleaned out the drain field with a pressurized hose - Treated the empty tank with some kind of patented enzyme mixture and root preventive mixture - Replaced one of the pipes inside the septic tank - Covered septic tank back up with dirt The project was completed in a matter of hours, and there has been no problems ever since.

+ -1 moreThe fellas called to tell me they were in-route within 2 hours of my initial call to their main office. The two guys that showed up seemed to work very well together. They were very pleasant and personable. They also explained to me all the things they were doing and why it was important. I watched the whole process, and they worked together like a well oiled machine. When work was complete, they even removed some roots that had been giving my lawn mower a bumpy ride.
Description of Work: Septic system has backed up into house - luckily, back-flow was only occurring in the utility sink in the garage which was the lowest sink in the house. Services performed: Septic tank locating, tank pumping, tank cleaning, main line from house cleared, roots removed, drain field cleared-cleaned-treated for roots (enzyme), drain field reconnected to main tank, and active bacterial treatment was added.

+ -1 moreI had a septic tank backing up into the rental house so I needed service ASAP. This was on a Saturday morning. First I called Hoss Campbell a nearby company. I got VM with no way to leave a message. They did call me back within 15 minutes. When I asked about pumping a septic tank he said "Not today buddy we're slam up", before I could ask when or anything else he hung up on me. I don't think I'd call Campbell again. Next I moved to JC septic service because it's at the top of Angie's List. I got VM and left a message. They called back in about an hour and were very professional. I explained I needed immediate service and already scheduled someone else. He said he was booked for the next few days anyway and glad I found someone who could help immediately. I wouldn't hesitate to call JC service again. After VM at the first two places, I tried Bowen Septic service and got a live person. He said they could work me in that day or the next. No extra charge for weekend service. They actually managed to get a truck out within 3 hours. They were friendly and professional. They fixed the problem. They gave good advice without trying to "up sell" me on anything. I plan to call Bowen again for another property in the area.

Description of Work: Called Bowens for Septic servicing and repair at the suggestion of my plumber on Friday. (I had called the plumber because my washing machine drain was back-flowing into my laundry room and the plumber diagnosed it as a septic issue.) They offered to be out first thing Saturday morning but I declined due to a weekend trip I was taking. I was initially very impressed at their willingness to be right out on a weekend. They arrived promptly on Monday morning and after inspection it was determined the septic tank and field lines needed repair. Joshua and John did a fantastic job completing the work quickly and efficiently. I was concerned about the hardscaping I had just paid to have done last year and they even managed to dig up the yard and replace all of my stone hardscaping with very little disruption. Joshua uses that little machine like it is an extension of his hands.. true craftsmanship! After repairing the inlet to the tank and the field lines they also installed a rise and filter to make my system a bit more trouble free in the future.

Description of Work: I called in the morning and asked if they could come out that day because I had water on the ground.  At that time I did not know my septic tank was under my deck about 4 feet from the edge on one side and two feet from the other edge at the highest point of the deck around 6 feet tall. When they located the septic tank they determined that they could not use their equipment to dig up the lid and it would be 150.00 an hour to hand dig.  I said no I would dig it up now that I knew where it was.  They charged me 175.00 because they brought the equipment out.  They said I would get $50 back if I called them back to pump it.  There was no mention of a fee to come out find the septic tank and not pump it.  I  found and uncovered the lid.  | |I called the next day for them to return to pump the tank.  I was told once they started pumping I would have to pay an additional 125 because the tank was full or they could leave some in the tank.  Again no mention of the additional fee on the phone when I called the first time or the second.  When I called to question the fee I was politely told  it is normally a $250 extra charge for a full tank. | |That was my first experience is having my tank pumped.  Maybe I should have known what questions to ask.  I felt while the company was polite and came when they said they would they where not forth coming on their fees. | |

They were very thorough and made sure every part of our septic system was working properly & advised us on how to maintain it. They were a joy to work with and did excellent work!
Description of Work: Sewage was overflowing in our shower. To correct the problem they pumped septic tank, installed new outlet baffle tee and new outlet prpe and connected to field lines. They removed solids and roots from field lines due to baffle being compromised and checked field lines.

+ -1 moreOur front yard had developed trenches. We found out that our septic chambers were collapsing. Bowen pulled all permits and started digging up our front yard. They were very good about staying off of the areas they didn't need to be in order to preserve some of our grass. They installed all new chambers, pump and alarm in 3 days. Hopefully we won't need them again but if we have any septic problems we will be using Bowen again.

+ -1 moreI really do not know exactly what the problem is yet, but it's not normal for a four year old residential tank to be the way it is. They said it could also be something with the house's line, but I can't afford having other people come and check for now. I paid $5002 for the installation four years ago and $250 for the inspection I had recently.
Description of Work: I had a septic tank installed by them around four years ago. Now that it is full again, they came to inspect it and check what was wrong with it. They could not find an answer. They kept trying to find something that I did wrong like throwing litter down the drain, or maybe the toilet paper I use; none are true.
