+ 0 moreI installed a garage door opener myself but was having problems with the door opening and closing all the way. I think it was because the rails were misaligned so the door wasn't staying on the tracks properly. Legacy sent 2 young men out who listened to the issue I was having and quickly diagnosed the issue. As part of the roller replacement and lubrication package I purchased, they helped straighten the rails and adjust the opener at no additional charge so that it now operates very smoothly.
Description of Work: Replaced garage door rollers, lubricated all the hinges, adjusted the opener and helped straighten the rails.

+ -1 moreThey did just fine. Everything worked out good. They were fast, professional, and fixed my problem. They charged me more than the $85 Big Deal charge. It was about $50 extra, but it was for stuff that went beyond that. They sent some of my original garage door stops on reason that it vibrating loose. So, they said it should not have been mounted on the actual tracks. They said that they could actually move those if I liked. That was an additional fee and it was reasonable. I told them yes and to do it right and they did. They were extremely fast. That was what impressed me the most. They did a good job and did not leave a mess. They asked me about everything upfront. They were very good. I highly recommend them. I would tell somebody that if they want something done right by people who know what they are doing, professionally, and fast, I would recommend this people and I would use them again. I thought the price was in the ball park.
Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal for Legacy Garage Doors. The original call out was the garage door opener not opening the door. Sometimes, it would and sometimes, it would not which would not make any sense. We needed to update the system and they addressed all of that. Apparently because of where my sisters were, the reason it happens at certain times of the day or the year was the sun coming in and heating the center to make it not work right. That is when they realized they were actually in the wrong position. They tweaked the system and made sure everything else was working correctly like the motors, lights and remotes. They said the other issue was how it really should have been built. There are two colors on those. There is a green and a red, one goes on one side and one on the other. They said one of my doors was actually reversed. I had two doors and they should have matched. Both on the right should have been green and both on the left should have been red for example. Instead, the reds were in the middle of both doors and green on the outer. I said that that makes sense and they said that they could swap those around and that goes beyond just tweaking the system and move the sensors off of the vibrating runners. They fixed the other problem and I told them to do that and make it right so that I do not have any recurring. So, I agreed to that.

+ -1 moreWhen they arrived, i showed them where one hinge had come apart on my double door. It just needed it to be re-hinged. They quoted me $229 for the repair. I stood my ground and told them what i was looking for was a 5 minute job. The price should not be any more than a minimum serivce call. they agreed to do the job for $99. I get very aggrevated when service companies do not want to do the little jobs. They lead to the big jobs down the road - but it's not immediate gratification for the $$ now. So they will never get my big job down the road...
Description of Work: i bought a $49 deal for them to inspect my garage door and use the $$ toward a credit on service needed.

+ -1 moreThese people showed up on time, were very professional, and got the entire job done in about 45 minutes. I couldn't believe it. They offered me several options, but didn't pressure me. I will definitely use them again (if I have to).
Description of Work: My garage door kept sticking and I would have to open and close it manually. They completely replaced the springs, cables, bolts holding the door on, etc. and moved the rails back a little bit. Now the door opens and closes perfectly.

+ -1 moreLegacy called a 40 mins. prior to advise that they were running on time. Service man arrived a few minutes before scheduled appointment. and asked for my concerns. Based on my input, he ensured that my remotes were working, reprogrammed the outside keypad and installed a battery (the type of which I didn't have), examined the garage door and told me they would honor the Angie's List coupon if I wanted a tune-up. I told him that I did want a tune-up. He pointed out that someone had rigged the door with temporary struts, which didn't surprise me since everything else in my newly purchased home had been rigged in some way and had to be replaced; and I asked him to replace the strut. He completed all work in less than a half hour, and my garage door operated smoothly and silently. He informed me that, if I wanted additional light from my garage door opener, he could install a different wall mount opener that would also keep the door light on when needed. I told him that I didn't need more light and thanked him. I was exceptionally pleased with the service and promptly referred him to my family.
Description of Work: Performed tune-up on garage door; reprogrammed outside keypad; provided battery for keypad; installed 9' strut on door frame; ensured that remotes were working properly.

They did call to keep us informed, and adjusted the invoice amount in compensation, so it wasn't a major issue and we would definitely use this company again.

+ -1 moreThe 2 technicians showed up on time and got to work quickly, replacing the old rollers with newer nylon rollers and lubricating all the moving parts. They pointed out some issues with the current installation and corrected those as part of the service. One small disappointment, the price for a 1 car garage door and 2 car is the same, so since I have 2 one car doors I was only able to have 1 serviced for the price. Overall a good experience and the technicians were very helpful and worked quickly.
Description of Work: Replaced rollers and lubricated hinges on the garage door. Also helped straighten out the rails so that my newly-installed garage doors could function properly.

Description of Work: Legacy came out to replace a broken spring on my garage. When they arrived they informed me that the type of spring system I had was not a standard one and could not simply just be replaced. They could order a replacement from the OEM of the door but that would take a long time. They offered to change out the entire spring / tension assembly to a standard type that would be more serviceable in the future. They had all the parts on hand to do this and were done in less than an hour. Great work,

+ -1 moreIt didn't go well, because I feel like the guy did a bait and switch thing on me. He came out for one price and he nickel and dimed me to get his price up. I didn't know that people were still out here doing that. I thought that being apart of Angie's List weeded these kind of people out. It was supposed to cost me $85 and I ended up paying twice that much. This is a follow up to the details which happened today from the company. So they called me on yesterday twice and I didn't return their calls because I knew that it would be nothing but drama. I answered the phone today by accident and it was Andrew who stated that he would refund my money in full if I would take this review off of Angie's list. I agreed. Then he texted me at approx. 2:27pm stating that he changed his mind. Just like I said earlier, bait n switch. Then he offered to refund only half of my money. At this point, I said "no deal". He said he would refund it all and I think his word should be his bond. I do hope that he will reconsider sending me ALL of my money back as he stated he would do this morning. As the bible states, a man with ALOT of words, except, I'm sorry. You're right, you're the customer, well.......you finish this statement. As his statement states below, he stated that he would provide a FULL refund and once again, changed HIS mind.
Description of Work: He fixed my door to my garage door because I couldn't get my car into the garage.
