I purchased Angie's Big Deal for Legacy Doors. When I called, they were very unprofessional on the phone and couldn't come out to perform the service needed for over a week. I was able to get my money back from Angie's List but I will never use this company in the future.

Glad I bought another Angie's List Big Deal! This was the 1st maintenance performed on our garage door in a while and Legacy delivered. They were knowledgeable, professional and quick. The metal struts applied have added to the longevity of our garage door for years to come. Previously there was a 1 inch gap when the door went to it's lowest position, not anymore! Within 15 minutes the gap was history, metal struts were added for security. I believe without this visit we would have had to purchase a new garage door within a year. Thank you Andrew and Josh...

(I bought The Big Deal currently still going on for the next two days from this provider, so, first things first, if you're in a hurry: BUY THIS DEAL! For the back story, my wife and I own a house in the north metro area which was built in 1992. You homeowners know what that means: we're well into "stuff needs repairing/replacing" time. We've replaced the AC, the roof, painted the house...you get the idea. About two years ago, one of the things we had to replace was the aging garage doors with their now well out-of-code (not to mention noisy) motors. We called around (this was before we were Angie's List members), and eventually settled on a company which I won't name because they're no longer in business (a casualty of the '08-9 recession). The doors they installed were very good, the motors were much quieter than our old ones, and the work was very professionally presented and delivered. Over the past two years, the chain had gotten a little noisier and we had gotten a small dent in the face of one of the doors, so when we saw the Big Deal for a garage door tune-up, we jumped on it. Legacy was very polite on the phone, and even though Angie's List warned us that they had many orders for this Big Deal and thus might not be able to fulfill right away, Legacy informed us they could have someone out to our houe within a couple of hours. Legacy showed up on time, and much to my surprise, I recognized one of the two men who showed up as being sone of the men from the now-defunct company which had done such good work installing our doors two years previously! I could tell he remembered us, too, because he said "this looks like our work" immediately. Long story short, they fixed our small dent, tightened up the chain, and told us they now would install an additional support brace on each of our two doors which would help with noise reduction and stability.They installed the two new bars (for $80, including labor), and were gone within a half hour. I cannot say enough good things about Legacy. Although we did not know that the old company had gone out of business, I was THRILLED to learn that some of the core people from that company had founded Legacy. I now have continuity with my garage-door provider, and am entirely happy with the service and produce. This company itself may have only been in business a couple of years, but their professionalism feels like a long-standing company, and their actual experience is much longer than the age of the company itself. Look no further than Legacy if you want a competitively-priced, superbly-installed garage door.

I called Legacy at 8AM, and they were at the house by 11AM. Legacy explained my options with costs for each. We decided to replace the manufactures spring with a traditional garage door spring which has a higher rating and has readily available parts. Legacy completed the work within an hour and a half, did a little extra work on my opener, lubricated the door and is now as quiet as I ever remember it being. Great job, very friendly and prompt.
