I had contacted 3 companies for prices and sample railing designs. This company had the best price of the three companies. They were prompt, professional. I can't say enough good things about this company and the work they performed. We love the new railings!

Ross was pleasant to talk to on the phone. He came by and looked at my project while I was at work so I wouldn't have to leave. He installed all of the railings in just one day.

Went with a different contractor.

I called, he came out and gave me a quote. Installed within the next few days. He worked with his son and both were very professional and friendly.

The work was outstanding, on time and as promised.

Ross brought a full portfolio (via iPad) of work and options so that I could pick exactly what I wanted. Price was reasonable, and installation was a breeze! We were looking to quote updating the stairs. After talking with Iron Works, we decided not to pursue this project until we get a great Angies's list deal.

Sometimes the mark of a top notch outfit is knowing when they have bitten off more than they can chew, admitting it to the customer, and suggesting alternative solutions. Ross not only has my respect but also my business because he has the sense to know when to stop work and ask for help.

Arrived at scheduled time on the 3 occasions they came to our home. They had to fix our ornamental fence which was installed in a brick wall 10 years ago by another company. Iron Man also made and installed a new gate from our pool area.

The install took two men about 2 hrs and the work progressed smoothly. Around the stoop the railings were set into the brick. The rails were set in concrete at the bottom of the steps. Touched up any scratches on the rails.

They did a good job. I would recommend them.

The process was very easy. They provided us with drawings that gave us an idea of the look we wanted, showed different price levels and were willing to work with our budget. I would use them again for ANY iron work. The handrail looks awesome and I have received many compliments on them in only a weeks time.

One word for these guys. Wow! On time, on budget and on it! Ross has millions of ideas and can make it happen. They were done four days early and kept in touch with every detail of the project along the way. Very satisfied with these guys and would highly recommend them.

They seemed to be very professional and very customer oriented. I have not used them for any work yet, so I don't have any comments on the quality of their work, but their estimate was very thorough, just as I needed it to be. For a line-item quote they had sent me an email response, with all the information that I needed, which I found as very thorough. I contacted them on the 19th which was the Friday, and they got in touch with me on Monday, which is fine for my needs.

The iron handrails out on my front steps were rusting badly at the bases -- so much, in fact, that I could lift up one side completely out of the bases by myself. The other rail was completely detached from the base due to rust as well. Iron Man Ironworks is really the only company I could find on Angie's List to do this kind of work, so I went ahead and got an estimate, knowing I would end up hiring them. Mr. Lunsford came to the house and upon examination determined that the rails would have to be taken out to be completely repaired and re-finished (with new paint and everything). He did however, give me an option to not take out one rail, and just weld it in place. (He offered this solution up just in case his estimate would have been too costly for us, which it turned out not to be.) He also explained what steps he would take to remove the rails, and how he would reinstall them, and what material(s) he would use. I just decided to have him take both rails and finish them at his shop, then he would bring them back and re-install them. One thing I remember about Mr. Lunsford's first visit was that he brought an iPad full of hundreds of pictures of his previous work, many of which were quite beautiful. It really goes a long way to show the quality and scope of work he does. Because of those pictures and overall professional and fair manner, I felt confident in hiring him. He emailed me the estimate after a day or two afterwards, and I signed and confirmed it. When he first visited, he originally said that it would take 10 business days total from the time he came to pick up the rails to the time he came back to install them, and the written estimate had said it would take 2 weeks, but in actuality, he picked up the rails on a Tuesday afternoon, and delivered and installed them later that same week on a Friday afternoon -- 3 days waiting time in total. He also said it would take 2 hours to install, but it actually only took a little less than 1 hour. The rails themselves look brand new with all-over rust removed, and with them re-painted black. The bases were filled with concrete all the way to the surface of the steps, so as not to let anymore water in. The rails are quite solid now without any movement. It was a job well done -- even the realtor selling our house was quite impressed. I would highly recommend Mr. Lunsford and Iron Man Ironworks again.

Everything turned out perfect. I looked up their work online and then they came out. I liked the guy and he brought me picture samples. The price was reasonable as well. I would surely recommend them to the others.

He did the drawings for it. He was very creative. He really went the extra mile. It was nice to have someone so diligent and conscientious.
