It worked out great. He was very nice, very professional.

I have used the company before, and had a good experience. My garage door was moving a bit roughly, so I thought it could benefit from the lube and inspection. The lube was really nothing more than I could have done, so I don't think I would pay for that again. But he spent some time adjusting the door, and did make it run more smoothly. So he did what was promised, and I was satisfied. But I probably wouldn't buy it again, unless my door was seriously in need of a tune-up. In which case, I would probably just ask them to come out and tell me what needed to be done.

It went fine. Nothing but high marks for CSS. They did a great job. They showed up on time. I had no issues after they repaired the door. I certainly would call them back again. It was a relatively reasonable price. I was pleased. They were very proactive and looking at future issues that might arise, so we ended up replacing a cable.

They're an excellent company and I'd highly recommend them! They were right on time, very professional, and it was a great experience.

Was having problems with the door not always shutting by way of the remote. The technician pointed out what the problems was and inspected the rest of the door, and the made the minor repair at no charge. We talked about getting a new door in the future but this was and my questioning and not by any "up sell" on his part. I was very pleased with the service and will use them again.

After the initial visit to inspect my garage door, it was determined that a panel that had been damaged should be replaced. The cause of the panel getting damaged was an improper setting on my garage door motor which caused the door to damage itself rather than reverse and go back up when it was obstructed. The job was estimated and the parts to repair the door were ordered and a repair date set. The technician was very prompt, very professional, and the job he performed was excellent. He adjusted both doors and made sure the settings were correct on both motors to prohibit damage from happening in the future. I would highly recommend this company for professional, honest and cost efficient service.

Showed up on time, check out system to find out why garage door was not opening. Gear and sprocket had to be replaced, but, the rest was fine. Quoted the price of repairs and did the work. Lube treatment was also done. Garage door opener sounds quieter and does its job now.

Paul showed up on time for the both the initial quote and to perform the work 3 days later. He was polite and professional. The metal retainer was $89; the seal was $105; labor was $69 - there was a $35 Angie's List discount applied. I thought the price was reasonable, but I'm not sure it struck me as cheap. Since the work was just done today, I can't accurately comment about the quality of the work. However, Paul was willing to answer all of my questions, gave me some basic guidance on maintaining and adjusting the garage door and quickly lubricated a few key parts before leaving. At this point I would be comfortable using CSS again. For bigger projects I would consider getting multiple quotes as I would for any significant repair, but I would certainly solicit a quote from CSS.

After purchasing the Angie's List special, we set up convenient time for service, and it worked out for them to come even sooner. The job was taken care of promptly, efficiently, and economically. I have been satisfied in the past and will gladly use CSS again in the future.

We just joined Angie's List and so we're posting reviews from contractors we've used recently. A rep from CSS Garage Doors came out 11/13/12 to assess damage. He said that we could not use the deal on Kudzu for repairs as it was only usable for a two door garage system (this was NOT in the small print that I was sure to read prior to even calling them). The deal offered a garage door repair for $99. During our discussions, the man was condescending and down right rude at times talking over me and my husband as I tried to explain what happened and my concerns. It did not leave a good impression. He ASSURED us it could be fixed and that we did not need to buy a new door. So we paid and extra $189 to get it repaired. On 2/12/13 (not even three months later) I came home to an open garage door and possible break in as the door did not close on my departure. The door would not close or open so I called them back. The same man came back the next day. He ?reinforced? brackets drilling and adding screws into places where, he self admitted, they were not intended to be and that was a BIG mistake. There was obviously new torque happening on the cables, wheels, and motor that had NOT been there before. Before leaving we asked him about the difference in sound and appearance, and we were given a mere shoulder shrug. TWO WEEKS LATER it broke again, collapsing completely in on itself; ripping away from the door and causing irreparable damage to the door (view pics on kudzu.com review for details). We had to have a different company come out and replace the motor which was now broken (thanks to the extra torque that had been placed on it) and the door. When this new company came out, the rep looked at the reapirs and stated "let me guess, the folks that did this "repair" were with CSS weren't they?" I said yes, and asked how he could know that. Apparently these guys fix EVERYTHING the same way and are known in the business for poor worksmanship and quick fixes. He'd seen this at other homes enough times to know immediately who had done the repair work prior to their arrival without us stating who it was...that says a lot. We will NEVER recommend CSS Garage Doors or use them again! At least with the new guys we have found a reputable garage door company that we will recommend WHOLE HEARTEDLY!

It was an emergency since it happened on Labor Day and I had to fly out the next day and car was "locked in" early the next morning they arrived, called and gave approximate time they'd be there and quickly, efficiently resolved the problem and price was very reasonable. 5 star service

Paul at CSS was great to work with. My Garage door springs snapped on Sunday and I purchased the big deal that night. Paul called me first thing Monday morning saying that he can stop by between 10-12 the same day. He showed up promptly with great communication skills. Gave me my options and performed a great job replacing my springs on my garage door.

We were selling our home due to a job relocation and after a rigorous home inspection, realized we needed some work with our garage door. I contacted CSS and they were at the house within 24hrs! Now that is on-demand service! Daryl was our service provider and although I was not there, my wife was who had me on the phone. Daryl could have just gone for the most expensive option and replace the whole door. However, he thoroughly assessed the situation and realized that 90% of the door was in perfect condition. He offered an alternative that would both fix the seal and repair the bent bottom portion of the door. Had the work done while there and was done in about 30 minutes. EXCELLENT SERVICE, RESPONSE TIME, AND CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I was getting my rental turned over, and Dale and the team at CCS serviced my garage doors. I bought the special, knowing that they would probably find a problem, and I would have to pay more. To my surprise, they reported back that they performed the preventive maintenance and made a minor adjustment, and that they didn't find any more problems...so no more charges. The technician looked at the issue, made a suggestion to repair and gave the price it would cost. He did the work in a timely and very professional manner. The cost was very reasonable, as well.

The technician arrived early and waited on me to arrive home for the appointment. He was professional, polite, and courteous when introducing himself. He performed an initial inspection and then gave a detailed overview of what would needed to be fixed. We had a broken torsion spring and one tension cable that had to be replaced. He gave options on the type of equipment I could purchase and the quality of each type. The initial cost of repair was accurate and a fair market price. The service took around 1 hour to complete and he gave a walk through of what repairs/services were performed. Payment and receipt were emailed to me right away and the garage door is working perfectly! I will definitely use CSS Garage Doors in the future for all repairs/replacements!

I left a message to make the appointment but didn't receive a call back. I waited a couple of days to call back and reached a person that time who was very responsive. I called mid-day and there was someone at my house before close of business. I also received a couple of calls to let me know how far out the technican was and when he was headed my way. When he got here, he went right to work, addresseed the issue and wrapped things up quickly. Very personable and professional, and seemed to know what he was doing. Would absolutely call them back if I have a problem.

Bottom fourth panel of one of our garage doors had rotted due to water damage. Otherwise the door was in perfect conditioin. Since we have two custom wood garage doors, we wanted to avoid paying thousands of dollars to replace both doors so they'd match - especially since only one fourth of one garage door had an issue. CSS Garage came in and built a brand new panel - matching the existing design perfectly. Daryl was our service provider and he was always on time, courteous and efficient. He went above and beyond by taking care to use the right wood and doing his best to match up the decorative bead board. When we called about a little piece of wood sticking out, he scheduled a return visit immediately even though we had already paid in full. Their quote was the most competitive and the quality of their work was outstanding. Would recommend Daryl and CSS Garage to anyone having issues with their garage doors.
