CSS Garage Doors

We had a garage door that behaved strangely and it was fixed in no time and it now works perfectly!

The technician advised against replacing the spring (which is 18 years old) even though his company had a coupon for the service. Instead he was able to reattach the spring. He lubricated all the joints and attached a rop that would keep the door from slamming against the back stop whenever my kids opened the garage door and let go of it while it was still rolling up. The rope was a very common sense thing that I wouldn't have know to do. He said it would help the structure of the door if it wasn't slamming up.

I did not have any work done, just received an estimate. The gentleman was very kind and honest. I would use this company again in a heartbeat!

When I called for the service, I was given a two hour time frame in which the technician would arrive. He called 10 minutes into the allotted time to let me know he would be arriving within 45 minutes. His arrival coincided with the time he gave me. He was courteous and answered all my questions before he started working. The job was completed in less than an hour, including the time spent answering my questions. I was completely satisfied with his work.

As stated above I was very pleased and have asked him to come back and repair other door. No pressure at all to purchase new doors. I explained the house I purchased was a foreclosure and I have already replaced a roof, ac system, and other repairs and I did not want to put a lot more into the house that I would not get back. The older doors are still in good shape no rot on wood. He was great he understood and did exactly what I asked without any pressure to do more. I could not believe he started the work right away and when he left I was able to use my garage for the first time in over a year. The prices he quoted me was exactly what I paid and no surprise add ons.

I liked that he was straight-up. He didn’t try to sell me anything I didn’t need. In fact, he told me I didn’t need to replace the motor and what the other company told me wasn’t really accurate. He was prompt and courteous. I just remember how great he was. If I have any problems I will use him again in a heartbeat.

It was an Angie’s List promotion. They got the job done quickly. The technician didn't have the plastic seal with him but he was able to get it the same day and replace it. He did have the rollers. They did a complete check and did what needed to be done. They didn't do anything that didn't need to be done.

They came on time, did a great job, and it still is working. They also replaced cables on both sides that looked weak.

They charged me about $ 2500 which was a great price and they did a good job. They were also professional and experienced. I would use them again in the future.

Everything went well. They were able to schedule us quickly, very prompt, service was excellent. I would recommend him and use him again in the future.

Overall, the experience has been very good. Their price was very reasonable. They removed the old garage doors and then installed two garage doors along with the garage door openers. They were professional, did a through job and I was pleased with the results (and still am). They have done a great job and I’ve had no problems.

I was heavily surprised that the company contacted me after I submitted my first review where I gave an overall B rating as one of my garage doors sometimes didn't close correctly. This is what I call true customer service and satisfaction. Sure thing that I'll use them going forward.

They offered options and talked me through what everything meant and never talked down their competitors. Day of installation, he was early and began moving stuff out of the way in my garage on his own. He worked quickly, taking the time to explain what everything was and what I could do myself to maintain.6 months later, I somehow messed up one of the openers where it could not open and close automatically. CSS sent a repairman out the next morning, checked the problem, adjusted both doors where it couldn't happen again - for no charge. I could not recommend a company more.

They were very prompt and they were very helpful in terms of diagnosing the situation and making suggestions.

It went great...they came out did an inspection and wrote up and esitmate for all the work needed. I thought I needed a whole new door (as advised by another company) but they suggested that I just repair and replace the damaged parts...this was very honest of them and saved me a lot ot time and money.

Excellent experience from start to finish. Paul came to our home on a Saturday to review the job and provide an estimate. Installation date and timeframe was provided at that time as well. Daryl called ahead of time to give update on how far away he was from our home on the day of installation. He was right on-time. He estimated the installation would take approx. 3-4 hours and again he was true to his word. Very professional and courteous. Work site was cleaned up prior to leaving. Walked us through what he did and made sure to answer any questions we had. Would definitely hire this company again. Great experience.

A few hours worth of work. The work went really well. There was one minor issue but Paul addressed it immediately and effectively. Overall a job well done. He was very knowledgeable and thorough.

CSS Garage Doors called before coming and arrived promptly at the time stated, 11:30 a.m. He examined the garage door and determined what needed to be done. The job was completed by 1:40 p.m. It costs $200.00 for parts, $89.00 labor, $12.00 tax (6%). *When scheduling the appointment, the company scheduler asked how I found out about them; and, of course, I said Angie's List. There was a CSS coupon on AL for $35.00 off parts; but it was not applied to this service call. Note: Some businesses (with coupon offers on AL) will automatically give these discounts to customers. I guess some do not. Oh well, live and learn. **Technician had a problem with his portable printer and was unable to print me a receipt of service performed, but agreed to email me one as soon as he was able. I received a receipt this evening as promised. I was very pleased with the work performed. The technician was very courteous. Yes, I would definitely use this company again.

I purchased my home back in 2007 with a rotting wooden garage door that we knew would have to be replaced eventually. Well, several years later, eventually happened, so we decided to have several contractors come out and estimate replacing the door. After hearing everyone's pitch and gathering estimated costs, we decided to go with CSS and we couldn't be more happy with the decision.We initially called CSS for an estimate but only reached an answering machine. We didn't leave a message at the time, but someone from the company still called us back 30 minutes later and we went ahead and scheduled an appointment for an estimate. On the day of the appoitnment, Daryl called 15 minutes prior to the scheduling window to let us know he was on the way, and showed up promptly after that. He proceeded to walk us through all of our options, and gave us quotes for several styles of garage doors, without pushing us towards any one in particular. We were thinking about having everything in the garage replaced, but we were told that it would not be necessary, and that everything else we had was in good condition and shouldn't be replaced unless we REALLY wanted to. We had him give us a quote on a new belt drive since he was there, and he obliged (we ended up not replacing our system). After all of our quotes, not only was CSS the best price, they were also the highest rated among all the contractors we had come out, so the choice was a no-brainer. I called Daryl back and sent up a time for a full replacement the following week. Once again, Daryl called about 15 minutes prior to coming out, and was at the house shortly after. Daryl was by himself, but still managed to get the old door removed and the new one installed by himself within a half-day, and that included having to go back to the warehouse to get a different door as the one he brought wasn't exactly what I thought I had ordered. Daryl was courteous and professional the entire time, explaining everything about the work he did, and how to properly maintain the new door. He even found and fixed a problem with the garage safety laser eye system, free of charge. All in all, I couldn't have asked for a better experience and will recommend CSS to all of my friends moving forward.

We decided to replace the entire door and door opener and, after perusing Angie's List, we bought a Big Deal Special and called CSS Garage Doors, Inc. Paul Lipham came out the next day to measure the job and deliver a written estimate. He brought samples of what options were available to us and explained the trade-offs involved. Mainly interested in the quietest combination available, we were somewhat constrained by home owners association requirements but Paul put together a complete package (including wood and vinyl trim, all operating hardware, installation, takedown and carry off). A few days later, allowing time for a weekend and special ordered windows to be cut into the door, the technician, Daryl, arrived early in the morning to perform the installation. Everything went as planned and as advertised. Daryl took about three hours to finish the entire job, including loading his truck, sweeping up the entire garage, and conducting a short course in the operation of our new equipment. CSS Garage Doors is a quality company. They showed us examples of what we were buying, put everything in writing, were efficient and on time in delivering what we wanted. The icing on the cake was that the final price was less than the original quote.

I looked up doing it myself, but torsion springs can be dangerous if not handled properly. Read the reviews on Angie's list, saw they had a $35 parts coupon, and called them up the next morning. They came in the afternoon, priced it out at $300 for parts and labor and performed the service. Happy that we called CSS, the garage door is actually quieter than before.
