CSS Garage Doors

The man was so nice. I had a balancing problem with the garage doors. He did the tune up and made a few suggestions for the future. My Garage door has worked perfectly ever since and I was very happy with the price.

Contacted CSS Garage Doors when the torsion spring broke on my garage door. Paul provided an estimate of $200-300 and scheduled an appointment for the next morning. Dennis contacted me the next morning just prior to his arrival to let me know he was on his way. He arrived when expected and once I showed him the issue, gave me the repair cost estimate ($259, right in the range Paul said it would be), explained what he would do, got his tools and made quick work of the repair. Once complete he showed me the working door and we took care of the paperwork. No surprises, just professionalism that keeps me coming back to them for my garage door needs.

My wife decided to back out of the garage before opening the door one day. Isn't that typically why garage doors get replaced? In her defense, the doors were battered and about ready to be replaced. This just kind of just forced our hands to do it sooner rather than later. We needed to move pretty quickly, as the door was in rough shape so we didn't want to risk opening it (even manually). Thus, her car was stuck. We got a few quotes from 3 companies found here, I believe (all were quite quick with their offers and turn-around). CSS wasn't the cheapest or the most expensive, but they gave a good sales pitch and seemed to offer a bit more quality than the cheaper guys. To keep it short and sweet, the work went smoothly. The technician arrived on time, and just got to work. He was well within his time frame of completion, informed me of some simple 'tune-up' things I could do on my own, and told us to feel free to call them for a free door adjustment if anything ever came loose or started rattling or making a lot of noise. Another thing we appreciated was that he didn't try to sell us a new opener system (some company reviews mention it like it's gospel). We knew ours were just middle of the road, which he confirmed, but he said they were operating well enough so there was no reason to replace them. Overall we were very pleased and will use them for tune-ups going forward.

The scheduling of the service was a seamless experience. They contacted me to arrange the date. They arrived on time and prepared to work. They quickly serviced the doors. The one item I was concerned about was a light that would not turn off. They fixed that for me by resetting the opener. Additionally they were the only company I have used that pointed out to me the damage done by the installation. The doors I had put on 3 years ago were a major upgrade. Yet the technician showed me how they had already been damaged and did what he could do address the issue. He did provide an alternative that was more expensive which I declined at this pass I appreciated the alert to the door issue and the work put in to resolve it. They were pleasant to work with and appropriately professional. I would use them again and recommend them to a friend.

The springs broke during the day and I found the Company on Angie's list. I called them and although they were fully booked the technician came out at 9pm because I couldn't get our garage door open and had a car stuck inside. The technician was very professional and well educated on the door, springs and supports. He made some recommendations but was not pushy in describing the pros/cons of what to do. The price was more or less as expected and he completed the service quickly and thoroughly. Would definitely use them again but hope I don't have to.

Call back was timely, options for service were given and the work was completed as discussed. Professional manner, seemingly quality work.

I called to schedule the appointment and it turned out that I was outside their service area. He was professional and apologetic and encouraged me to get a refund from Angie's List.

Wonderful! Paul came out to the house and met with my husband for the initial consultation. He brought samples and brochures and he had a tablet to show my husband everything he needed to see. Paul left my husband with an estimate and everything that was included. Of course I wanted different windows other than what my husband picked out. So I called Paul myself and asked him to change the windows to what I liked. Paul was on the road and asked to call me back and he did! He called me back and we went over the windows I wanted. He said no problem and he made it happen! The day of installation, the installer called my husband ahead of time and told him he would be at the house in 10 minutes and he was! I love it when professionals arrive on time and do a good job. Before the installer started he verified what we ordered to ensure he had the right materials. He did a great job at the house. He installed the door with no issues, provided us with the extra remote, completed the job on time and left no mess. I would highly recommend CSS Garage Doors to anyone. I didn't think we could afford the carriage doors for our home, but with CSS they made it happen. And they provided a great service and were very professional. I can't say enough good things about them!

Daryl came and gave us a competitive estimate, not the lowest but fair. Final price acually came in a little lower than the estimate. I'm in my seventies and I can't remember that ever happening. Once I accepted the estimate and telephoned them to accept it, they ordered the doors and set up installation on one of the days I proposed and then showed up right on time. Work was done exceptionally well.

Paul came out to give me an estimate on repairing the old drives or replacing the whole mess. He didn't try to "upsell" me and he stated that the current drives could last a little while longer. Being that the garage was under an upstairs room that was freezing in the winter, I decided to go with new insulated doors and figured I might as well replace the old drives at the same time. What a great move!!! The new belt-drive motors are "whisper" quiet, the remotes will open either door, and they took out all the old wiring that was an eyesore. Both Darryl and Paul were on time, courteous, knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend CSS if you need new doors or openers. And, if you have the old noisy chain-drive lifters, believe me you need them!!!!

It was a very pleasant experience from the vist to the provide estimate through the second visit to complete the job. The day of installation in took them approsimately 4-5 hours to finish and they needed nothing from me, nor did they disturb me at all. It was raining and cold that day, yet they got the work done. The final price matched the estimate exactly. The product was delivered as advertised.

It was a good experience with CSS Garage Doors & Windows. The service person was very knowledgeable and very detailed about what he was telling us. He had to show us the new program he put in, it was a new keypad. He showed us how to work it and everything. They were very good. They really took the time to explain everything to us.

It was great! I ordered and paid for the services on Jan. 3rd and then called to set up an appointment, which was set for Sat., Jan. 5th. He showed up on time and performed the required services and our garage door hasn't worked better in many years! He went above and beyond and we are extremely pleased and will definitely call him for all future garage door repairs!
