CSS Garage Doors

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was okay. It was just a quick check and it was what we expected. There was nothing wrong with our garage door.

I called to make an appointment for an estimate at around 11:00 am. Arrived by 1:00 pm. He had the parts with him and the garage was up and running again within 50 minutes. He also lubricated all the rollers, and made some adjustments and the door is working better than before.

I had a great expereince overall. I had been burned by a previous installer that was very nice but could not commit to the work. We went round and round for 2 weeks. In the mean time I had no access to my garage. I called the list on Angie's List and got the best price from Paul at CSS Garage Doors. My husband took the day off to have it installed because we had to move the junk in the garage for them to work. They arrived on time, got the job done. The only complaint I had was that the price I was quoted from Paul was not conveyed to the installer and my husband wrote out a check for $100 more. I called Paul the next day and I got the check for the difference in 2 days in the mail. Very professional.

Paul did a complete inspection of the doors and informed me that only minor adjustments were required to keep the doors in operating order. While he said the door openers on two of the doors were old they appear to be operating fine. He did not try to sell me any new ones which I am sure I could have been convinced to buy since I knew they were close to the end of their operating life. It was very obvious to me this company was very reputable and not out to up sell you things you did not need. Paul completed the work in short order and then explained to me everything he did. These guys are VERY trustworthy and I will use them to replace the door openers when they finally do go out.

It turned out very good. I will be using them again. I really liked their service. He seems to be very honest and he is a small company that I like doing business with. He is very inclined in developing his customers. We made arrangements to do a one-year courtesy follow-up and check my garage doors yearly. I do not know what the fees are going to be. I will continue to use him.

I was having an issue with a garage door repair I had done myself a few months back and I called them to come out and help me...it was beyond my DIY capabilities. I called and got an appointment the same day, and was offered the $99 Angie's List checkup deal. When he got there he checked out my work and found that it wasn't the quality of my work that was the issue, it was the quality of the parts! Long and short - Home Depot sell pretty sub-standard parts. I had him go ahead and replace the pulleys and cables for an extra amount that seemed abundantly reasonable to me. In the end, he made a few other tweaks and adjustments and had the door running perfectly. He also did a check of my other door and performed routine maintenance on it as well. All in all, I felt like they did a great job, did not try to up sell me on what I did not need...I would definitely use them again.

Very well. I paid off of Angie's List ad. They called me - I didn't have to track them down. They made an appointment and arrived a little early. My garage doors are very happy now! They even programmed my remotes.

Arrived on time, completed the job in a timely matter, cleaned up after the job was complete, and explained everything he did once the job was complete. Very pleased! Highly recommend them for garage door services/repairs.

He was very conscientious because the type of garage door we have is very noisy, and he tried to make the garage door was as quiet as possible. He also fixed our spring so that it no longer slams shut if opened manually.

CSS inspected old wooden garage doors and openers. Replaced part in one opener and fixed other door hardware. This enabled both doors to work while I saved money for new doors. After saving money and further deterioration of doors, I called CSS to replace garage doors with new metal doors. CSS gave a fair price and were professional. In my case they gave me a fair price for replacing my old wooden doors with an economical pair of new metal doors. Total price for both visits apx $1400.00

They were very quick in fixing the door. They were very knowledgeable in their service. The window of time when they said they were going to come was very reasonable and they showed up in that time. They were very knowledgeable and professional during the whole time we worked together. I will use him for my rental property and refer him to my neighbors.

Technician was a little later arriving than I expected but that was just a misunderstanding between myself and him. He was knowledgeable and discussed all available options for my needs. Garage doors operate much smoother and quieter than they did before service. Small wood repair to the bottom of one door was postponed for more economical options the technician suggested. Overall I am very satisfied with my experience with CSS Garage Doors and would use them again.

They did a good job that we didn't have any problem after that. We have our garage doors for 2 years and 5 months now and we never had any problem again.

He worked quickly and professionally to complete the problem. The next day, one door stuck a little so we phoned him and he talked us through tweaking the knob that controlled the force. It correctly it immediately.

It went well they showed up on time and preformed an inspections.

I called asking for someone to come here to get me a quote, since my garage door is stuck and off track, so I want quotes first before I get the service done to make sure I'm paying a fair price, since it looks like it will be around 500 dollars to repair (not just a regular 80 dollars). The person just wanted to give me a quote over the phone, and said even if they came and took a look at it, they wouldn't be able to say for sure..

Company rep came out and was up-selling the entire time. Stated that not only did I need new hardware, but also needed new garage doors. When I decided to just do the basics (my garage doors look fine to me), the technician went on and on about how if I got new hardware on any of the doors and decided to replace the doors later, I would have to buy new hardware all over again. Clearly, he wanted me to replace everything for both garage doors. I was not happy about this. I really only wanted to have the one spring replaced and the tune up on both. I also felt that paying $99 for the deal of the day "Garage Door Tune-up for up to 3 Doors PLUS Replacement of one full set of Garage Door Rollers" and then on top of it, paying an additional $235.40 was a bit steep. Essentially, I paid an additional $235 for new hardware (minus rollers which should have already been included in the deal) on one garage door. That's two springs, some cable, and a few other knick-knacks.

CSS arrived on time and worked diligently to adjust my garage doors. The technician didn't rush and took the time to explain all the adjustments he made. Very professional and experienced. The doors were noisy previously and they now work smoothly and quietly again.
