CSS Garage Doors

I was actually looking for someone to replace the entire unit as it had not worked in years. According to my technical savvy husband, the motor was shot. When CSS came out to look at it, they actually gave me fair recommendations as to what I should do in each situation and also advised that he could fix the motor. All in all he actually saved me money by being able to repair the unit and not having to replace the whole thing. He was very friendly and professional and was willing to go above and beyond to determine what the situation was, how much was broken and what would actually need to be repaired before I had to make a decision regarding what work I wanted done. He never tried to upsell me on a new unit even though it was my original intention when I scheduled the service call. He simply addressed the unit and the problems and gave me a straight answer.

Originally called for a repair. The large two car garage door came off the track and had broken. It really was time for replacement, so I was offered a temporary fix, but turned it down because it would have been more of a hassle to lift the door. I asked him how much new doors would cost. He showed me samples he had in the truck and showed me brochures for style and color. He was very quick at getting a quote. When I picked out what I wanted, I placed an order which came in quickly. The guys came out and installed the two doors and were very professional.

Took care of the noted problems and found several others that needed attention. Did a good job.

We got 3 bids from 3 companies that were on Angie’s List, and we decided to go with CSS Garage Doors. We were satisfied with them. Our overall experience with them was fine. They seemed to know what they were doing. They were in line with the others in terms of price or they might have been a drop higher, but we were more impressed with them. Their quality of work and responsiveness were fine. We haven’t had any problems. They came when they said they were going to. Their professionalism was fine as well.

Very pleased with entire process, from quote to installation. Had 3 Angie's List providers quote on replacing our 1990's era wooden doors and chain openers with steel-backed insulated doors, torsion springs and belt drives. We wanted insulation for improved working environment in garage in winter and better heat retention for bonus room overhead, with torsion springs and belt drives for quieter operation. Darryl from CSS provided quote, Paul followed up on questions, and Darryl returned for the installation. Very professional and efficient- old doors and openers removed, with new ones up and in operation in about 4.5 hours. The doors look great and they are SO quiet! Darryl did a great job trimming out the doors so they fit perfectly in the existing spaces. Quality products at competitive price, all provided with good service. Have already recommended to at least one neighbor.

CSS was VERY nice to work with being both honest and complete beside doing a quality job. I would definitely use them again, in fact I did. about 3 weeks later I needed to do some work on replacing a garage door motor and so called CSS again. They can out WITH the replacement parts already and replaced the unit as necessary the same day. Thanks CSS GREAT job!

That worked out great. They came out close to the day I called. He was on time and very professional. I haven't had any problem with my door since then.

Excellent technician. He explained everything and offered options for repairs. Now the garage doors don't sound like they are coming through the ceiling. Another company recommended by the previous owner just did patch work and was not nearly as well informed. CSS told us the costs for all the options and it was exactly that price. I am very pleased.

We were perfectly satisfied with them. They were punctual and efficient. They knew exactly what they were doing. They told us what the problem was, went to work, and fixed it. They were in and out of here in two hours. We did not have to pay more than the $99 Big Deal. We had a communication problem. We were playing contacts, but they were precisely on time.

Technician was very through and professional. Analyzed the problem , researched to see if he could find a replacement part to no avail. Worked very neatly and timely. I would highly recommend this company!! They also applied my $39 that I bought on Angie's list ( to service my garage) to my total bill which reduced the cost ! When he was done he also programmed my home link in my van for me. It would have taken me an half hour to remember how to do it. He did it in a couple of minutes.

They were very professional. I am a teacher, so time is of a priority. They were 15 minutes early to the installation and finished 1 hour before estimated time. The doors have been a tremendous upgrade for us, as our old doors and openers were >13 years old. I have had zero problems since installation and already passed their name along to someone else. I found quotes that were about $50 cheaper, but the difference was well worth the quality and professionalism.

The tech was on time, was very courteous and very knowledgeable. The original manufacture's bracket that connected door pulling mechanizm to he door got torn off and I was told by several other companies that I will have to have a brand new door installed. The cost would have been around $800. The CSS tech took one look at it and immediately told me not to waist $800 and that he would put a new bracket for $129. I was so appreciative that he was honest and did not try to simply upsell me (I was already ready to pay for the new door). The bracket he installed looks better than the original and is certainly more sturdy than the manufacturer's one. It's been working fine for almost two months now.I am very thankful to him for a great job and will recommend this company to everybody I know. Should I have any need in this type of service in the future, I am calling them without a doubt.

Very professional work, friendly and on time. Door worked perfect when job was completed. I had to leave the home before he was finished and he texted me a picture of the completed job, let me know he was done and thanked me for the business. i was very satisfied and could completly trust him in my home when i was not there. He said ' your home will be safer with me here then not here" and he was right.

Got home on a Friday night and our garage door decided to get sideways and in a bind. Daryl came out the following day, Saturday, and did a wonderful job getting our door back in shape. He took his time during the repair and gave several tips for prolonging the life of our door. I had him service and adjust an additional door at the same time. All this and a year warranty on repairs, no beating that!! Needless to say, they have my business and I will certainly recommend them to anyone who may ask.

The gentleman was very professional, and showed up on time. He clearly was knowledgeable about garage doors. I have a two-door main garage, and a second, two-door detached garage. One of the doors in my main garage had bent during operation. The other door in the main garage had done the same thing previously, and I had it repaired and the rollers replaced. I expected to do the same thing with this door. He fixed the bend in the garage door, and got it operating smoothly. However, he did NOT replace the rollers in the door. Instead, he provided some suggestions as to how I could improve the safety and operation of my main garage doors by installing safety latches for the springs and sensors for stopping the closure of the doors. I then directed him to my second garage. Virtually nothing was done to "tune up" either of these doors, either. I did get an estimate from him on how I could attempt to seal the garage doors to create more of a room rather than a garage. In summary, I got my garage door fixed for $99, along with an estimate for fixing the second garage doors, and for improving the safety of my main garage doors. I think that was fair, but it certainly was not the original offer.

I was very surprised and happy that after discussing with the CSS Tech that putting in new garage doors openers was probably not the best alternative at this time if I was not going to also replace the doors, and if we replaced just the springs and motor, would also be a waste of monies later on when I would be replacing doors. The gentlemen was quickly able to determine the both craftsman openers could be easily repaired, new sensors were put on both doors, and he ensured that they worked proprly along with putting in safety wire to ensure if springs ever broke that they would not hurt anyone. I was planning to spend over $800 for new openers, and instead paid around $340 to repair the doors, and I was very happy that my doors working great, and I can save for new doors and openers. Most honest and reputable.

Service was prompt and professional. Only issue is that the remote controls don't work when outside the garage so had to call back to get that fixed.

Arrived on time and completed work efficiently. Price was fair for new opener and installation.

We thought that they had removed it from their paperwork. We were surprised when re received our cc statement and saw the charges. they accepted money for work that they did not do.

He came on time and completed the work quickly. He took the time to explain how some the safety features on my system worked. I was overall very satisfied with the work.
