Sloggy Plumbing

Sloggy Plumbing was excellent. They arrived on time, and had a lot of knowledge on my issues which was an outdoor faucet and shower head problem. They were very professional and handled both problems effectively. I would highly recommend Sloggy Plumbing to everyone.

After purchasing the $69 Big Deal for plumbing services, I called Sloggy Plumbing to schedule a service appointment. During that telephone conversation (4/29/14), I learned that the $150 worth of plumbing services would be consumed by one little toilet repair job, and that if I needed additional plumbing services, I would have to pay substantially more. I explained that I was hoping the $150 worth of plumbing services would go further than fixing one toilet. Furthermore, Mr. Sloggy would have to come all the way out to Roswell from Buford, GA (40+? miles one way)to perform something that could easily be done by a handyman, or even me, and didn't really require the skills of a plumber. After thinking about this overnight, I called him the next day (4/30/14) to say that it would probably be mutually beneficial to cancel the appointment, save him a big trip for a small job, and allow me to rethink spending $69 for a small return, adding that I might even try tackling the toilet repair myself! He was totally gracious and understanding, and agreed with canceling the appointment for services that we had scheduled for Tuesday, 5/6/14. Based solely on my telephone conversations with him, I would recommend Sloggy Plumbing to anyone needing (and being able to afford) plumbing services. I also told him he would be the first one I called if I truly needed a plumber and not just a handyman! I'm sorry it didn't work out this time, but now I know a good plumber to call if I ever need one!

id a good jobe called before he cameI bought it on Tuesday night and told him my toilet was clogged. He called me a couple of minutes later and asked if I had another toilet and I said yes. He had an cancellation on the next morning. He called me in the morning to say he was on his way. When he arrived he flushed the toilet and it was ok. I think all the stuff I put down it finally worked. He checked all my pluming and unclogged the master vanity sink drain. I thought he was very professional and did a good job.

Worked on 1/2 bath the repairman was very nice and professional but unfortunately the handle on the commode still sticks. The handle soon fell off and I couldn't use the toilet until I had another plumber come to fix what he had apparently messed up. The plumber that came said that Sloggy Plumbing busted my toilet by turning the handle the wrong way and does not know what he was doing.

The work was done professionally with a high degree of quality. The provider checked his work thoroughly, insuring that there were no leaks and that I was satisfied.

He was very professional and deserves the little Angie's List badge he wears on his shirt sleeve.

It was ok. It was a complicated thing and I ended up getting another plumber. I feel like I paid for the deal and all he did was just put one little patch. He told he had to get another one and I paid him $120. Then he came back again and couldn’t fix it. The other plumber did have to order the parts from the other place. It was done. He asked me if I needed this part and I agreed. He’s not a bad guy. I just think that problem could have been solved quickly at the beginning. It was a big deal purchase. He responded quickly.

Service provider arrived on time, after a couple of reschedules. He performed an inspection of all pipes, hot water heater, and water pressure in the house and recommended replacement of pressure regulator valve and PVC pipes. He gave estimates for this work then fixed the faucet that was the reason for the call.

He was very good. He was very courteous, took care of the job and very professional. I think I would use him again if I needed to.

As far as spending close to $1000 when one was not expecting to do so, Soggy Plumbing made the experience bearable! I called the owner, Brian, for repairs for my leaking water heater. He came to the house the same day, Friday, and spent about an hour at the house, finally determining, and explaining to me, that he MIGHT be able to repair the leaking connection, but due to what he could see, and the unit's age (10 years old), that once he opened up the connection, it might be unrepairable, and I wouldn't have hot water until I replaced the unit. He was very patient and clear in explaining the details, and subsequent options. He suggested replacing this 10-year old unit as an option, and at my request, gave me a written estimate for both a basic 40 gallon and a basic 50 gallon unit (6 year warranty), including a replacement thermal expansion tank, which is required in my area. I then said I wanted to discuss the options with my wife, who was not home at the time, and also wanted to check other home improvement retailers for comparison. He had no problem with that, and told me that since I found him on Angie's List, he would not charge me for that visit. After researching the Lowes and Home Depot websites, I ended up calling him back late Saturday morning (the next day), and he picked up the unit I wanted from a supplier, and spent about 4 hours Saturday afternoon to do a complete installation of a new unit, including the thermal expansion tank, and hauled off the old unit. His final billing was actually $25 dollars less than his written estimate. Prior to both visits, he was delayed while at other customers houses, but he was very timely, and courteous, in calling me with his progress with his previous clients, and prior to his arriving at my house, which was very nice. He was professional in his appearance and procedures (including cleanup!), and was extremely polite throughout both visits. I will definitely be using him again for future plumbing needs!

Brian called to confirm appointment, arrived on time and prepared to work. He repaired a noisy toilet, found and fixed a gas line that could have been a safety issue and gave me estimates for a new water heater. He was very professional and I will probably do business with him again.

They were really good. He was personable. I have had no problems since. I would use them again.

recent work on shower installation valve for pressure was not fully engaged, turned valve fully on restoring pressure, checked overall pressure in system found within acceptable level, leak was determined to be return pipe with crack, patch was recommended over extensive replacement of pipe as well as cost, if not successful then replace. Have not patched pipe nor replaced same due to going on vacation, will do so in near future. Leak not bad and still paying for vacation in Thailand.

He was here for maybe 2 hours and there were additional fees for some plumbing materials. We were very happy with the edn result.

This is the second time I have had Mr. Sloggy perform plumbing services at my home. He is very professional, his response time was good and he did the work very efficiently. I would definitely recommend Mr. Sloggy and will call him in the future if the need arises.

Brian was very friendly, professional and did the work quickly. He took the time to chat with me, was concerned about taking his boots off in the house, and just an all-around nice guy. I will definitely be calling him for all my future plumbing needs.

Provider was professional, punctual, responsive to calls, informative. Work was well done. Would definitely use provider again.

He provided a 2-hour window for arrival, and stayed in touch to let me know when he was on the way. I really, really appreciated that as well as his integrity in stating what he did not feel comfortable trying to do; i.e., the gas fireplace has a set of problems for which he said I should have a fireplace expert do the repairs. Someone else might have fooled around with it for a little extra money, but he told me the truth. Honesty with competence are very important to me. I've never paid a plumbing trip fee and his pricing per project was a bit higher than what I'm accustomed to; however, I realize you get what you pay for. Since I value quality work, this was a surprise, but not an issue for me. Brian also stands behind his work. A tiny leak in one repair showed up after he left. He offered to return that afternoon but the Feb. 11 ice storm was on the way so I insisted he go home. When Atlanta thawed three days later, he came that afternoon and made the repair plus an extra part at no charge. I previously had a wonderful plumber for many years who I paid by the hour. When he retired, I feared he would be impossible to replace. I'm grateful to Angie's List for helping me find Brian Sloggy. He is the perfect replacement. I've already recommended him to a friend.

Called Sloggy Plumbing and they came out the next day and quickly diagnosed and repaired problem. Very satisfied with the service we received. Would definitely use again.

I have no complaints whatever about Brian Sloggy. It is nice to deal with the person you talk to initially, for one thing. He was very punctual, and when he arrived, he was most respectful of our house including removing his shoes before coming upstairs from the crawl space. He did exactly what he should have done to correct our problems (extremely high water pressure). I will definitely use Brian Sloggy again!
