I have 2 disposals - both which were not working. He fixed one and replaced the other. On the day he performed the service, Chris gave me a 30 minute courtesy call, was on-time and very professional. He explained everything he did in detail and was very thorough. I was so impressed that I scheduled an appointment with him to replace my water heater.

The old water heater was failing due to age and decreased efficiency. Chris recommended a power vent unit that vents out of the side wall instead of up through the house for increased safety and efficiency, The recommendation and quality of work was exceptional and he cleaned everything up and hauled off the old heater. I was thinking of one of the new tankless heaters as an upgrade but Chris said that the heater he recommended would give the same results at less than half the price and boy, was he ever right. We tried to run it out of hot water - showers, baths, laundry, dishwashing! The recovery rate on this unit is just fantastic! Well worth the price. Oh, and by the way, Chris had some unexpected extra expenses above his estimate and did not pass them on. He honored his original estimate! And called back five days after the installation to be sure that everything was still OK. This is a company to trust.

Scheduled an appt but then found out charges so I canceled. He charges $45 just to drive to your house. Then another $45 for every half hour. Said the toilet would take him half an hour and the sink another half an hour. So $135 for labor plus trip fees. When he added the "Supplies" fee. He said it would be just under $200. I called Grayson Plumbing instead. They had no trip fee & are completing both repairs for $115.00 (labor & materials).

The job was performed to quality standards and the price was reasonable.

My case is an interesting story, but I won't go into details. Succinctly, two previous attempts to have a new water heater installed by a big hardware company which required me driving 140 miles (4 trips), unnecessarily, with nothing to show for it, but my frustration, loss of time and a lot of wasted petrol. I immediately signed onto Angie's List, something I've been meaning to do, for a 4-year period. Researched and found C & A Johnson Plumbing Service and called. Chris answered when I called, I explained my situation and offered anything he needed to include pictures of the leaking water heater. Taking the advice in a submission by another consumer, I requested that he procure the replacement water heater for me. He said he needed some information: the company name of the water heater currently in the house, the model number shown on the tank, and the best time to conduct the installation. He gave me a quote window, the minimum and the maximum the installation might run. He showed up on time, removed the old water heater, and installed the new water heater plus the special fittings needed between the new copper pipes and the old polybutene pipes and the expansion tank, which is required by code. He maneuvered the washing machine back into place and hooked it up without being asked. My son had moved it out of the way before Chris's arrival so that the plumber would have better access. We anticipated that we would move it back into position and hook it up. Chris was well within the quoted range and he hauled the old water heater away for us. Before leaving he explained a lot of technical information to my son and I concerning the heater, the expansion tank, and the problem we were facing with the polybutene pipes used in the construction of the house. That's another cost ($$$) for another day. I'm 58 years old and a retired military man and I can state that I have never seen better professionalism in a person or company. I recommend, with enthusiasm, C & A Johnson Plumbing Service for your plumbing needs.

Punctual and professional, courteous and helpful. The price was reasonable and Chris cleaned up the work site. I provided the faucet sets, so the units themselves are not covered by a warranty from C&A, labor is covered up to 90 days. Water heater supplied by C&A has a warranty that is 6 years on tank, 2 on parts, 2 on labor.

It went great. He came on time and finished on time. He tried to work around some problematic plumbing from previous owner to save on labor costs, but that didn't work out. Still did job in estimated time for estimated cost. He operates on a set hourly rate, but tries to give you good value for his time.

I called him on Sunday and he said he would be out here first thing Monday morning. He called Monday at 8:45 as a courtesy call to let me know he was on the way. He showed up about a half an hour later. He did a very nice job. The price was very close to the estimate. He does quality work. He was very courteous and nice. I would definitely use him again.

Chris moved his schedule around in order to get a new water heater the day after I called. He phoned 30 minutes before the scheduled arrival time and arrived as planned. He looked at my layout to evaluate the possibility of moving the water heater to the garage from the laundry. Estimate was more than I wanted to pay now. He also estimated a tankless water heater. Payback for me would be 14 years so I declined that option. Chris explained everything he was going to do before he started. He was very professional. Replacement took about 2.5 hours. Everything was cleaned up and working when he left. "My, he's fast.", is the comment my husband gave when Chris said he was finished. We'll be recommending Chris to our friends and neighbors.

I called for C&A and left a message. Within minutes, Chris had called back and was able to come out the next morning. Chris showed up at the exact time he said he would. After reviewing what needed to be done, he let me know in detail what he would have to do. The job was a little more complicated than normal, but was done quickly and well. After the installation, Chris explained how the system would work, and how to make changes to the settings if needed. Additionally, he was nice enough to review other potential work that I want to perform and let me know approximate costs. Having dealt with plumbers in Houston, Denver, Omaha and Little Rock, I was extremely pleased with not only the reliability, but the professionalism.

Chris hooked up gas logs for me. He had to make some adjustments to make it work and explained what he was doing and why. He was prompt and courteous.

Chris called to ask if he could come about 1 hour early (he was in the area sooner than expected). I let him in and he sound the leak within about 2 min. He didn't have the part to fix the leak in his car (truck) so he needed to go the the store (no charge). He replaced the item and since he was in the house, I told him of other areas that I had problems (upstairs tub). It took him less than 3 min. to fix that one. He went to him car/truck and wrote up the charge. He was very nice to talk with and he was great to have fix problems in the house.

Chris was nice enough to come outside his service area. He gave me a courtesy call approximately 30 minutes before arriving. He arrived early. My problems were simple, a clogged toilet, corroding seal and a leaky faucet, and he took care of them quickly and satisfactorily. He offered me my discount for Angie's list which I had not asked for. Everything went well and I appreciate such good service.

Excellent overall experience. Chris was willing to give an estimate of cost over the phone. Compared to a previous plumber that I had used, this was a big help so that you don't have a huge surprise cost when they get to your house and there is no way to get out without paying a fee just for the visit. Chris called ahead of time to let me know he was on the way. He explained everything as he went very thoroughly. He charges for parts and labor time, not a flat rate book with outrageous prices. Great experience. I would highly recommend and will use him again in the future.

He did a couple of extra things that I didn t know had to be done and didn t charge me more. He always calls 15-20 minutes before he gets there. He does great work and we have used him for other projects.

He took my calls right away and was able to come out to my house to the work the same day. He is a new business in our area and his prices aren't high like all the rest. He was in and out quickly and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a good plumber.

I called Chris and scheduled an appointment to possibly replace a pressure valve. After my husband worked on it himself, I called to cancel the appointment, which was fine for C&A Plumbing. Chris cautioned us to check the water pressure to make sure it does not exceed standards, which was much more than I expected. If we do need help, we definitely will call C&A Johnson Plumbing!

Christopher Johnson of C&A Johnson Plumbing is absolutely professional, responsive and respectful. He called 30 minutes prior to arriving and arrived on time. Incidentally, he is the President of C&A Johnson and is a Master Plumber. He fixed the commode and also gave me a few tips that were helpful. One, never to use the drop-in type cleansers, they clog up spaces and corrode the rubber seals. Also, after installing the commode he did mention to me that there was a small leak and it's good that we had it corrected before any damage had occurred. With regard to the faucet, he mentioned that it was straight forward and easy and then recommended the trim-kit for the shower, which I didn't even think to do. He didn't push any products on me, he respectfully educated me on the type of product, style, name, etc that I needed to order if I wanted to order it myself. I plan on hiring C & A Johnson Plumbing for future projects. Absolutely Perfect!

Chris gave us a courtesy call to let us know he was on the way. He arrived promptly and worked diligently to repair the leak. After he completed the work, he cleaned up and gave us a detailed written report of the work he performed. We will definitely call him again.

Excellent. He was able to get me on his schedule immediately. He was easy to get a hold of. He only charges for his time and materials; none of that "fixed" charge per type of repair that many plumbing companies do. Therefore, I was able to get some small things done while he was here without much additional cost. He is very dedicated and was trustworthy. He also does not "sell" additional or more repairs than needed. I would recommend him to anyone.
