They were prompt, very knowledgeable and professional! Even though they were only scheduled for an inspection, they gladly serviced my system and provided useful information about keeping things running smoothly in the future. I will definitely be utilizing them again for my maintenance needs!

I called Sig Cox at 5pm on Friday night because my A/C didn't seem to be cooling as it should be. I wasn't in a big hurry for a technician to come out - I just knew that it needed to be checked. The person answering the phone scheduled a technician to come out to check my system on Tuesday afternoon, late in the day as I had requested. On Saturday, it quit working altogether. Fortunately for me, the weather cooled down some! Larry called me this afternoon letting me know that he was on the way to my house and when I should expect him to be here. As I work from home, I appreciated the advance notice. He did a thorough check of my system and then told me his findings. He didn't try to use 'scare tactics' or anything... just told me the facts. He gave me several options to think about. I've decided that I will most likely be upgrading my entire system and since it will probably be several days before they can get everything worked out, Larry went ahead and charged the freon so that I would be comfortable in my home while waiting on a quote. Larry was thorough, neat and professional. It has been raining all day and he was very careful about taking his shoes off before coming into the house so that he wouldn't track water or mud in. He was also considerate of the fact that I was working. I would definitely recommend Sig Cox and will use them again.

First of all, they came on a Sunday, morning, Mothers Day. We called the night before and were surprised that they would even take the call before Monday. Anyway, they showed ;up bright and early on Sunday and within 45 minutes the AC was up and running. They replaced a part (which made the electrical contact) and charged the emergency fee and went on their way.

The owner is very service oriented, personable, and professional at what he does. I've used these guys several times and I will not use anyone else. From Barrett, the owner, to everyone of his technicians I've been well taken care of. He not only has reasonable prices but all of his technicians are very punctual and knowledgeable. They've always been willing to educate me whenever I wanted or need it. My initial contact with the company was when my HVAC went out in the middle of June on a Friday. Thinking that I could never get help on the weekend my family and I suffered through the weekend. After finding SigCox on Angie's List I'll never stop using these guys. Barrett told me that had I contacted him on that Friday he could have had another HVAC installed on Saturday without the weekend rates that most companies charge. I got the best labor warranty that I've ever seen in the business. My only regret is that I didn't give this review earlier than now.

Troy arrived on time and was very professional. He examined my system for any potential problems and then took the time to explain the noises I was hearing. He did not rush to finish the job, but took the time to educate me on how my heating and AC system worked. He was knowledgeable and friendly. I have and would recommend Sig Cox to anyone needing the services they provide.

We have an 8 1/2 yr. old Rudd heat pump. About a week ago, we discovered that our thermostat had stopped working--with the result that the system was non-functional. We were due a bi-annual service visit the following Tuesday, so we opted to wait. The company sent a personable, but still-in-training technician, who said the unit was low on Freon. She called the company owner and the opinion was that there was a "leak" and that a $400 leak test using dye was necessary. She reported that the coil usually responsible for such leaks would cost approximately $1600 to replace. In addition, we learned that our heat pump uses the soon-to-be obsolete R-22 coolant. We were shocked, thinking that price was well on the way to buying a new unit. When the tech reported our conflicted feelings by phone, the owner REFUSED TO REPLACE THE THERMOSTAT, saying that they would send their sales rep out the next day. Considering what we had been told, we began reading online reviews and price shopping for a new system. In the interim, an early heat-wave hit our area over the weekend; hoping to stay cool, we bought a new thermostat at a local store, and installed it ourselves. To our great relief, the system then began to cool in a normal way. We spoke with Barrett from Sig Cox. Barrett listened carefully and answered all questions. Barrett did work up the cost of a replacement system, but after hearing our story, suggested that we allow one of their technicians to come out for a free "Second Opinion" as to whether our system was economically repairable. We certainly were appreciative and agreed to let them take a look. Two days later, the Sig Cox tech (Nolan) arrived exactly on time and spent nearly two hours thoroughly checking our system. In the end, he found that the Freon was within normal working limits, and he could detect no leaks in the outside compressor unit, or in the attic air handler unit coil. Without even being asked, he also double checked our installation of the new thermostat, tweaking a couple of things and mounting it correctly. The system is working great. Barrett called shortly after Nolan left, saying that it was his goal that we get the correct solution to our heat pump problem, and that the reason he sent Nolan was that "he will always tell the truth." Both men are extremely professional, answered every question, taking as much time as needed. They care about customers to a remarkable degree, even knowing that they would lose the sale of a new unit for now. Believe me, we will be using Sig Cox from now on, because THAT is the kind of attitude and service you want when buying something this expensive! These men represent the best HVAC team and were obviously trained by the best owner in the business. This was all done for no charge, and is the best way imaginable to attract new, loyal customers. In gratitude, we signed up for the Sig Cox biannual service "check up" (for less money than our previous company). Sig Cox deserves an A++ rating for the manner in which they handled our "Problem". Very professional and honest. They are our new company.

Can not say enough good things about Sig Cox Heating and Air. Barrett came out a week before services were performed to give us an estimate. He was very thorough. He took his time and explained every single thing they would do if we chose to use them for the service. I commented at one point about our lack of a dryer vent in the laundry room (crazy, I know) and Barrett offered to put a dryer vent in for us at no additional charge. The estimate that Barrett gave us was well below any of the other estimates we got from other companies. On installation day, Mike, Josh, and Josh's wife arrived at 8:30 am just as they had promised to start the job. They were polite, friendly. and more than willing to listen to any last minute concerns I had or answer any last minute questions. Barrett popped in several times throughout the day to just to check on how the job was going and see if I had any concerns. On top of the job they were hired for, and installing a dryer vent in my laundry room, they also decided to run a new air conditioner drain line because they weren't happy about the way the existing line was done. They could have easily left the drain the way it was and saved themselves a couple hours of work, but they didn't hesitate to commit to more work. I was recommended to Sig Cox by a friend and I would not hesitate to recommend them to others! I will use Sig Cox again in the future for any of my heating or air conditioning needs!

The installation team was prompt, courteous, and had everything done within 4 hours.

Investigation found a loose control wire connection in the inside unit. After reworking the loose wire, they verified the defrost cycle was functioning properly. The refrigerant was "a little low", but was not the cause of the defrost problem. Sig-Cox added refrigerant and verified unit operation. Sig-Cox was the third HVAC contractor in two years to attempt to solve the defrost issue. First contractor replaced the defrost circuit board, which was not defective and did solve the defrost problem. The second contractor wanted to replace the entire heat pump (estimate $4800). Sig-Cox was asked for a second opinion and found the "real" problem was a loose wire. Sig-Cox had offered free second opinion through Angie's List, but did not charge for the repair. We are extremely satisfied with Sig-Cox?s professionalism and courtesy. It has been one week since the repair and our heat-pump continues to work properly.

The folks at Sig Cox went out of their way to complete repairs to my system. I had a tight window, and while they missed it by about 15 minutes, they were gratious, apologetic, and able to complete repairs (glad they didn't recommend replacement) after I left the house. I paid over the phone, and all was well again. Would highly recommend them, they were outstanding.

Within a few weeks AC quit working, we called them and they came out and "fixed". Then a month or two later, AC quit, we called them and they came out and "fixed". Then several months later, it failed again, they came out and determined it was a problem with the installation. We got a bill for them finding this problem, we called, and they said they would take care of it. However, we have continued getting a bill every month for several months and continued calling them, with them telling us they will take care of it. Exhausting!

Engineer was extremely professional and obviously knowledgable in his trade. Judging by his explanation of the HVAC status I would wager his inspections were very thorough. Money well spent for peace of mind on a house we intend to buy with HVACs that are 10+ years old. Superior company to deal with. Once we secure the house, they will be our HVAC service provider, without question. Highly recommended.

The first time because they were the cheapest but also had a good reputation and were wonderful in responsiveness and getting us estimates and working with our needs and schedules. The second time we did some other quotes, but again they were the least expensive and also with the best responsiveness and customer service both for maintenance of the first unit last year and for the request for an estimate for the new unit. No other company we contacted was this good, not even close. Both jobs have been done on time, with respect for the house and are working wonderfully. The workmanship appears to be very good to this moderately practiced eye.

A great experience with Sig Cox and their technician Kenny. My heat pump decided to call it quits on Sunday night so I got on Angie's list to find a repair company. There were two choices, Bus... and Sig Cox, I called the other one and they never called me back so I called Sig Cox. I used the "contact/schedule a service" application built into Angie's list and Sig Cox called me right away. They made the appointment to see me that day. The technician arrived when they said he would and he was ready to work. He quickly diagnosed the problem, fixed, and cleaned my system. That is what one expects when paying for a service but what was unexpected, based on years of calling service oriented businesses, was the personal and mature character of the technician Kenny. Kenny took the time to explain every step of the diagnosis, repair, and future options of my HVAC. The kicker was he did in a manner that was refreshingly adult. He spoke to me like a human being and he wanted to fix it for me and my family...I guess the best way to describe the experience is he truly cares about the reputation of Sig Cox and the quality of service they provide. I have no doubt based on the caliber of professionalism and expertise that Kenny displayed, Sig Cox will get my return business and I will recommend them to others.

I called at about 10 am to see if they had any slots open for a diagnostic. The temperatures had been in the high 90s and 100s so it was crucial to get our ac fixed soon. We have a 1 and 3 year old and couldn't go another night with no air in the hot temperatures. The man was friendly on the phone and told me that they had an opening somewhere between 2 and 4 pm. We had called other companies before Sig Cox and were unable to get an appointment so we took the time slot. However I got a call about 45 min later saying that someone was on their way to our house. I had explained the issue to the guy on the phone when I initially called and one of their sales guys, Barrett, saw out issue and knew what the problem was. He got to our house and had out ac fixed before 1130am. He was so polite and informative to both me (on the phone) and to our husband when he arrived to meet him at our house. I highly recommend Sig Cox for any HVAC needs. I commented to my coworkers that I had never experienced such great customer service from the time I called until Barrett left out house. A+ service all around! Thanks Sig Cox for your service and making it so easy. A+ A+ A+

Great service! Replaced it the same day in fact. We were lucky an appointment opened up because of a cancellation. They were very professional and we were up and running in no time!!

I noticed our unit wasn't working like it should on Monday. Not to mention is was running so loudly outside that I had to yell to speak with my husband who was standing within a foot of me. I originally made the appointment for a Thursday, but by Tuesday afternoon, the temperature in the house was over 85 degrees and with 4 pets (including 2 long haired & babies), it wasn't safe. The regular fee is $85, it would be around $120ish for an emergency after hours call. I was happy to pay that. The on call tech was backed up to well past 8 pm, (I called around 5:30 - 6 pm) so the other techs got to my house by 6:20 pm to inspect my unit. It was frozen. Once thawed, they noted it was out of freon. That's when the found the bigger (& very expensive problem) - the compressor was busted and leaking. The cost to replace the compressor was around $2700. Considering it was the original unit to the house (14 years old), we didn't want to risk any problems once it got hotter, so we opted for the new unit (inside & out). They has 1 suggestion - Lennox 4 ton 14 seer unit. They came inside to get measurements to ensure the unit would fit. They would be out the next morning (gave me a time) and would be in touch when they were on the way so I could leave work in time. They arrived at the time the said they would. The manager showed the guys what was to be done and told them that if there was ANY problems with the unit not going up the attic access to call him immediately. The unit JUST fit in and the guys worked diligently to get the job done. The manager talked me through the whole process and showed me what was done, how it was sealed, the emergency auto shut offs that are in place in case any leaks were to happen in the future (condensation issue - this happens to many units in businesses I've worked at, so not a surprise - it happens). They got the unit going to make sure it worked and there were no leaks before they left. Price included inside & outside unit & new programmable thermostat. They even cleaned out the over growth around the outside unit (never looked that good in the area since we bought the home less than 2 yrs. ago) and offered to move the debris elsewhere for us. They cleaned up very well inside as well (better than any other maintenance team has by far!). All of the guys were very nice and polite. Will be happy to call again when needed!

.it was going to be over 100 degrees and air conditioner stopped working ... Sig Cox is open 24 hours a day and had excellent reviews on other sites so we gave them a call... Barrett arrived 20 minutes after call and had a/c unit working within 15 minutes of arriving. I was very impressed with his professional and courteous behavior . i would recommend Sig Cox as an honest and capable company and will use them in the future.

Mr. Barrett Donnelly visited my home and spent a considerable amount of time checking out my current HVAC system and advising me on what he would recommend for a new system. He was professional and courteous. He clearly had experience and knowledge in the field and provided solid reasons for his recommendations. What I liked about Mr. Donnelly was that he was a technician and he knew a lot about the systems he was recommending. He pointed out the positives and negatives. There was no pressure at all. He followed up the next day with an email explaining what we had discussed as well as the estimate of costs. The costs were fair and the explanation reasonable. I decided to go with another company to do my HVAC work but it was not based on anything negative from Sig Cox. They were extremely responsive and very good. It was primarily a matter of my comfort level with the recommended brand based on my own research and opinions of friends who had that brand. Cost was somewhat of a factor but not the primary one.

Everything went great! Kenny was very professional and friendly. He called 30 minutes before arriving as I requested so that I had time to drive to my home from work. He was fast and efficient, but also careful not to make a mess in my home. Kenny told me that he had worked for Sig Cox for 14 years and that he loved the company not only for the way they treat their technicians, but also because of the company's commitment to ethical business and integrity. He told me the owner has a motto that he doesn't want to make a million dollars off of one person -- he wants to make one dollar off of a million people. I was so impressed with him and the professionalism of his company that I bought an annual service contract on the spot (the cost of this was included in the $505 that I paid for this visit). I own two homes in the Augusta area and have found my new HVAC contractor!

1. The Tech call me 30 minutes before he arrived. 2. He diagnosed both Air Conditioners and went forth repairing the parts that were under warranty. He had to order one part that will be in on Monday 18 May 2015. He will bring it out to replace the broken part. 3. After a 2 hours, the tech called me with all of the details..

Went very well. Technician was professional, knowledgeable and informative. Identified and corrected the problem and things are working great.
