Sig Cox Heating & Air Conditioning

I called for the yearly AC/ heater check up and before the service guy came, I noticed my heat wouldn't come on. The technician came and quickly diagnosed the problem and explained it well. Then he said he needed to get the part and I suspected there'd be a delay, but no, the part was in and he went to get it and quickly returned and fixed the unit and serviced it. He was very friendly and helpful, but I don't remember his name because I misplaced the receipt. I used my Angie 20 percent off coupon and got over a 100 dollars off the bill. Then, a couple of weeks later, I smelled gas and this time a guy name Jamie came out, and he was very thorough and also very pleasant. We didn't smell gas but he continued to check things out just to make sure. I wasn't charged for the second visit even though he was probably there for over a half hour. He also gave me the name of supervisor to call in case I smelled gas again so he could check it out while the gas smell was still present. He showed a lot of professionalism and concern. Both the guys did. I've been using Sig Cox for years, and they are always top-notch.

They were very polite, quick, professional, and they got us up and running. He did a great job and they were here when they promised to be here. He cleaned up after himself and didn’t leave a mess!

It turned out okay. I appreciated the coupon the offered through Angie's List for the work.

Sig Cox bought the company from another company. I had a complaint and they brought the sales manager out. They took pictures of it. The pan was put in at an angle and was not welded. The condensation dripped in the insulation through the wall and buckled the wall. They took some spray and sprayed the overhead. They told me they hoped that had worked out. I went into Sig Cox and spoke directly with the manager. I told him exactly what happened. I had no satisfaction with him as he did not resolve any of the problems.

When they installed it, I thought they gave me a lot of options. I got three estimates and they were the best priced. I love the unit they put in. The service is always on time and professional. They do a good job. When my heat was out this morning, they arrived within an hour of my phone call. I am happy with their services. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Jamie arrived a few minutes early, very friendly and professional. The work was performed in timely manner. Our filters needed changing, he gave us the option to change these ourselves, which was less expensive. We were very pleased with his work.

As I mentioned, the installers had the new unit installed very quickly. They were professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. When they finished, they cleaned up the area, leaving it as clean as it was when they came. As a result of my choice, (not to replace the entire system), it turned out we had a problem that night, with the outside compressor. I called the sales manager, and he came out late in the day (it was dark out), and diagnosed the problem with the compressor. Turned out he had to replace a part on it to get it working. He ran home, got the part, and installed it. (This was 9 PM!). The system has been working fine since. It's been a couple days now since the install, and the late night repair. The sales manager was going to stop by over the weekend and pick up a check, but he didn't make it. I didn't know yet what the total cost was, and it was surprising to me that they weren't in a big hurry to get paid. It's bee a few days now since the repairs, when I asked what the total was, it turns out it's exactly what was originally quoted. I'm impressed by the fact that this company provided such good service, and didn't "fatten the tab", when in my opinion, it'd be fair to them to do so. They've performed diagnostic services, replaced Freon, made a second late night diagnostic on a part of the system they didn't work on (my mistake), and made a second repair. If I have any further needs for Heating and A/C repair, I will not hesitate to call Sig Cox. I'm glad that I've found a company that I can trust.

Estimator showed up Mon. a little late, but within reason. He "quickly" did a walk through of existing system and did not seem to be very interested because he took few, if any, notes and informed me that they would probably not be the cheapest estimate. He told me he would contact me with a price by Friday (July 6), but as of August 3 I have not heard from him. Repair work done was excellent, but lack of attention and response by estimator leaves me with a big question about Sig Cox, especially for major work.

The individuals performing the work were very courteous and professional. I spoke to the owner couple of times on the phone and he was very helpful. He helped to determine the path forward on it and he did so to my satisfaction. It seemed to be rather pricey. It is hard to compare because I would have to know what the market rate but for a 4 ton unit it seemed to be okay.

Went well overall but the company is very busy and often it is difficult to get a hold of the representative in a timely manner. I am still waiting for a follow up and to finish the detailed finish work of the install. UPDATE 3 AUGUST 2012 I was extremely pleased with the follow up by my representative Barrett a stellar help throughout. It appears the delay was caused, in part by a misunderstanding of phasing of the work in relation to other projects on going in my home. To the Companies credit the owner and Barrett took notice of the original two B's in the categories above and responded immediately. This is a company that strives to be an A+ at what it does and it shows. They quickly rectified the remaining work and I am already planning to use them on a second project to update the HVAC in my addition later this year.

All work was completed as schduled along with follow up phone call to ensure that we were satisfied with the work.

They did a good job. They were pretty punctual in coming out. They were reasonably priced and were very professional all around. I called them Monday morning and they were at my place the same afternoon. I would use them again in the future.

Home AC went out last night and was frantically looking for HVAC support on a Sunday. Started calling down Angies List around 0800 and only one company answered took my info and promised someone would call me back. No call back after 6 hours. I tried calling the list again at around 3:00PM and Sig Cox answered and promised to call back. Technician called back 30 mins and 20 mins later at my home (side note...the previous company technician called back when Sig Cox technician was on his way to my home). The technician quickly diagnosed the the problem and went to pickup another tech for the part. Replaced the broken part and back in business. Very Professional, Very knowledgable, Very quick response, and very much would recommend them and use them again. Thank You Very Much Sig Cox. Roger Barona

They technically explained everything very thoroughly. They were not the cheapest by any means, but I think they have the best product available. I would absolutely use them again.

ac was freezing up every time the compressor kicked on. The tech showed my the correct way of installing the filters and stressed the importance of changing them every month. He looked over the system both inside the house and the unit outside. While charging the unit with the coolant he noticed a valve (i think he called a shredder valve) had a leak and replaced it. Overall if there was an A+ as a choice for rating them i would have given it in every category listed.

I could not have asked for better service. I called on a Monday morning to schedule an appointment to have someone come and check our A/C. It was not cooling properly. By Friday we had a new unit installed and running. The system we had was original to the house we bought and was 15 years old. I would highly recommend Sig Cox and/or Jason (who installed the new unit) to anyone needing heating/AC. P.S. When Jason came out on Monday to see what was wrong. He worked on the old system to ensure it would get us through the 4 days before they could install a new system.

Called in for service around 10:30 am and the Technician was here by 2:30 pm the same day. Extremely satisfied with the service from the initial phone call to Abby to set an appointment to the completion of the service visit by technician Chris. Chris had a lot of patience when it came to answering all questions that I asked of him. He explained every thing to the point of me thinking I could work on the A/C system now. He found where the leak was quickly and showed me exactly where it was and why it was leaking and throughly explained my different options for repair and/or replacement of these items. He also explained the pros and cons of everything. Will look forward to interacting with Sig Cox and Chris in the future. I recommend Sig Cox to everyone that is looking for a heating and air company. The price was very reasonable for the area I live in compared to other company's I've used for the exact same work. Quick response on a Monday a.m. after a weekend in December with no heat. Technician found problem quickly - a broken igniter element - and replaced it. Within an hour of his arrival our house was warming back up. Very pleased with the professionalism and speed of this company's service!

I thought they were pretty expensive, but knowledgeable. However, I did have an interaction with an unethical ex-employee of theirs. This salesman advised me that I would need to have extensive work done, but I really didn’t. He was fired, and a second sales associate met with me. He was much more honest and upfront. Overall, I was satisfied with their work.

We were mostly happy with the service. We thought the installation went well, and we have been saving money with the new units. However, we were expecting to get the energy tax credit per a conversation with their salesperson, but the units we purchased didn’t qualify. I thought that the sales associate was a little misleading, and that part of the experience was a little frustrating.

I think they are a good company. Their employees seem capable and knowledgeable, and I was happy with their service.

Everything went smoothly, and I think they did good work.

I have two units. They are very good and very responsive. They know their business.

Received appointment within a few hours of initial phone call. Professional, helpful, friendly employee came exactly on time to assess our air conditioner problems. He communicated the problems and fixed the easy ones himself. He discussed possibilities for the more complex issues with the air conditioners. Overall the house was significantly cooler before he even left the house. Would definitely recommend this company.
