Sig Cox Heating & Air Conditioning

Called Sig Cox on Monday and got an appointment for Thursday that fit my needs. Appointment was for 2PM. Gary Cooper called at 1:50 to say he was on his way. He has a very professional appearance and was very good about telling me what he was doing. Explained what he was testing in very easy to understand terms. Made suggestions that were good to know from my stand point. I was glad to hear he would be my technician when my next visit comes around.

Came home on Monday afternoon about 5:30pm, the temperature inside my house was 78 degrees. Thought maybe it was just superhot so turned down the temp, by 8pm it was 80 degrees inside. Called the office number at 6:32 Tuesday morning to see if they had a message with what the operating hours are. Someone called me back at 6:57 and told me that they would work me in today. The office staff called me at 1:02 pm and let me know that a technician would be at my house around 2pm and that he would call me when he was on his way. Technician called at 1:43, was at my house at 2:10 pm. He introduced himself, asked me what the problem was and then took his shoes off before he came inside my house. 20 minutes later my a/c was repaired and was blowing ice cold air. 35 minutes later the inside of my house was at 72 degrees. The service manager also called me to check on the repair and ask if I was satisfied with the service. Will never use another company for my heat/air work. Sig Cox is courteous, professional and experts in the field.

We were very pleased with our service, Gary Cooper called before he came. He was professional and courteous, and very thorough in checking our unit. He enlightened us some things we can do to keep our unit working well. We would like to have Gary provide our next maintenance service.

The response was quick and Gary Cooper, the serviceman, was very professional. He was on time and able to provide us with some cooling until the part could be received and installed. He was personable and explained the repair in detail. I had some concerns as we had just replaced the entire system in March of 2012. This cost us approximately $4,000.00. This is the reason I rated quality as N/A. Will have to wait and see (and keep our fingers crossed) that the price we paid was a fair one and that the unit will provide long term cooling. This provider was originally selected through Angie's List.

The call back time from the moment I place the call to the office was truly professionalism. The technician (Gary Cooper) called me prior to coming out to the resident as I requested. He showed diligence and care about his work. After the replacement of parts ,he placed a follow-up call the next day just to make sure that everything was running fine with the unit. He had the upmost patience answering all my questions and concerns that I had about the problems that I had. Mr. Cooper gave me good customer service and suggestion that would improve the quality of my AC unit. He was very prompt with his time and service, showing that my time was just important to him and his employer. I was very happy with the service and products offered by Sig Cox Heating and Air. Our old 18 year old unit decided to retire the Friday before the Memorial Day weekend. So naturally being a prudent individual, I opted to wait until after the holiday to avoid the 'Holiday Rate" service fees. Originally went with another company after being recommended by a friend but was disappointed in the service and response from the gitgo. Opted instead to consult Angie's List (I know I shoulod have done this from the start, but a friend's a friend) and found Sig Cox highly rated and recommended. I spoke with Barrett Donnelly whose response was immediate and delivered a new system at my house that very afternoon and the AC up and running before the sun went down. With a return trip the next day to finish up the work, I am now ready to spend the next 18 years enjoying the comfort this new system from Sig Cox can provide to my family. The staff is responsive and friendly and show true concern for their customers. That alone is worth your hard earned money. Speaking of money, the price I ended up paying for a new and better unit than what was originally offered by that "other" company was much less than the other guys as well. Of course, using that Angie's List coupon is always delightful! The house is very comfortable and the utility bill is lower. So I say save yourself the frustration and disappointment and give Barrett Donnelly at Sig Cox a call and he will make you a satisfied customer too.

Very pleased with all aspects of the service provided by Sig Cox...from beginning to end. Gary Cooper provided a great inspection of the unit and got everything up and running in a very short time. I will use them in the future if the needed again.

Wow! What a difference a day makes! Our air conditioner in our home was working - blowing air - but not cooling. My husband saw that the coils were freezing and that we were going to need some professional work done. Sig Cox quickly got a representative out to our house and he and my husband reviewed the entire system and he gave us some options on how to either fix our air conditioner or what we might replace it with. We made the decision to replace the unit and within hours, they were back at work putting in our new unit. Between the HOT attic and the sudden rain shower when they were working outside - it was an interesting install, but our service rep was polite, professional and focused and by the time I came home, the house was oh so comfortable. I am so pleased with the prompt and professional service that Sig Cox provided. I can recommend them without reservation for any heating and air conditioning work that you might need in your home.

On 21 June 2014 Busby's Heating and Air Conditioning did not show up for their 0800 appointment. We called them and they stated they cancelled our appointment. I then called Mr. Sig Cox and he had a technician, Jason, arrive at my house from Augusta to Evans, GA in about 40 minutes. Jason found the outdoor fan not coming on due to a bad run capacitor. The Compressor was coming on and overheating as well. He replaced the dual run capacitor and checked the system for proper operation. The system was functioning well and the service was completed in under an hour prior to the heat of the day.

Everything went well, Gary Cooper was on time, very professional and polite. He is the type of guy that you can talk to and it seems like you've known him for years. While working on my furnace he gave me tips on things I can do to keep my system up to par. He also suggested I install a safety switch on my line (cant remember what its called) to prevent it from backing up with water if it gets blocked by algae build up and causing more problems. I will definitely call sig cox in the future and I recommend that you do also.

Barrett came and gave an estimate of the cost, how they are going to install the unit and the warranty. The job was performed to our satisfaction.

Provider was on time and very professional. Took his time cleaning and servicing both of my a/c units. Explained everything being done and why it was being done.

Gary Cooper came on site and performed the annual services on our home air conditioner. He was in and our in a minimum of time. He cleaned all coils and added gas to the system.I love Sig-Cox HVAC services. They keep us warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

The company was swift and accommodating in scheduling the service call. The repairman was knowledgeable and efficient. Not only did he do the job in a professional and timely manner he educated us about our HVAC system. We were very pleased with the service. We will continue to use Sig Cox for any of our HVAC needs.

The technician was very helpful and professional. He provided us with the information we needed to make an educated decision about whether to replace or repair our unit. Kept us up to date when the part was back ordered, and got the repair done promptly when the part came in. Did a great job and we haven't had any further problems with our air conditioning unit.

Easy to schedule. Technician was on time and good communication. He was knowledgeable and made the repair immediately. Price was very reasonable for services performed.

When our heat went out, we came to angieslist to find a company we could depend on to get everything fixed. We are not disappointed. Sig Cox did a great job. First visit, the guy was not sure what was wrong, found a dirty part, took it out, cleaned it and replaced it. Heat was working when the guy left. Cost $175. Heater went out again that night. Next visit was the next day (Saturday), Sig Cox didn't charge the a service fee. 2nd guy came and figured out what the issue was, did a temporary fix and told us that he would order the part. Heat worked when the 2nd guy left. Cost $0 The following Tuesday when the part came in, temp fix was still working. The 2nd guy installed the new part. No problems since. Cost $325

I had been hearing intermittent noise coming from the ceiling since I moved in 2 years ago. It would usually happen after the heater shut off. I called and they came out the same day. After checking the attic Jason said the refrigerant lines were on the ceiling floor and they should have been hung up. He hung them and then checked the system to make sure everything was alright. The home inspector I had before I bought the house should have picked up this problem. Anyway, Jason explained everything and said he was sure the refrigerant lines were causing the noise. It's now been two weeks and I haven't heard the noise again.

For 15 years, we had another HVAC company work on our units. They came, they worked, the left. The gentlemen at Sig Cox, came, cleaned, and then made several recommendations of what I can do/should do; and highly recommended that I install an attic fan. This past summer, I noticed it was cooler upstairs and my electric bill was a bit lower. I also received a follow up call from Sig Cox making sure my appointment went well and if there was anything more they could do. They NEVER tried to sell me anything else (in fact they recommended several folks to install my attic fan - not their own staff). Great to work with and accountable!

From start to finish after I initiated the service request Barrett kept in touch with me constantly. When a technician was coming to the house to assess the problem, he called to tell me who was coming and gave me an ETA of one hour (the technician arrived 30 minutes early). The parts were obtained in one day, the work was coordinated with my work schedule; when I arrived home the technicians were waiting in the driveway at the time agreed upon. It was pouring rain and the workers had to go under the house, back out into the rain to the heat pump and come in and out of the house. The job was performed in a highly professional manner and the technicians took care each time he entered my home not to trek muddy shoes across my floor. Everyone was polite and courteous. Any question I asked was thoroughly explained, as well as many I did not know to ask. I now know intricately more than I ever thought I needed to know about how a heat pump works. I would recommend Sig Cox to everyone in the area requiring HVAC services. Integrety, respect, customer care and value are only a few of the words that describe this five star experience.

Annual Maint Check-up on two Furnaces ($69/each w/ coupon on SigCox.com). Plus diagnosed/fixed a problem (replaced thermo-couple) w/ upstairs furnace not coming on first turn-on of the winter season. Very fast & great price!!!

Without a doubt, the best heating and air conditioning company in the Augusta area! Have been a customer for over four years and have always received fantastic service. We originally had a problem with our upstairs A/C and had 4 different companies try and troubleshoot the problem. Not one of the other companies could figure out what was wrong. (One wanted over $10,000 to unnecessarily redo duct work etc. without having a real answer to the problem.) When I called Sig Cox, the owner came out personally and discovered the issue immediately. Paid a fraction of the price the other companies quoted me and have never had another problem with my A/C again. All of the technicians are very knowledgeable and professional. Always receive prompt and excellent service.
