Sig Cox Heating & Air Conditioning

The work went very fast. The two techs were highly professional. There weren't any "gotcha" costs. Little things that weren't spelled out in the estimate were brought to my attention and changed/updated to meet code or functionality such as the changing out the copper pipe, adding elbows to the PVC water drain pipes. A great touch was adding poly risers to the outdoor unit to keep weeds and dirt splatter off the heat exchanging areas. Angie's List comes through again Sig Cox is highly rated and I see why. At one point I had four Sig Cox people on site. The manager stopped by a couple times to see how the install was progressing, and dropped off a few supplies. The original tech that did the initial eval was on-site to make sure I got what I wanted, and also set up the thermostat and the associated app for my cell. The two main install techs were well seasoned and have been with Sig Cox for a number of years. They all supported each other which sounds like a good working relationship. Nothing lasts forever, but my 24 year old Rheem seemingly did, so that was another reason to go with Sig Cox. The replacement unit, although more powerful (2ton vs 2.5ton) was actually a 1/2 inch narrower that the old unit... which meant going up into the attic's fold down stairs without problem. The included Honeywell thermostat is WiFi enabled and the tech set that up onto the network. I asked for an estimate for repair and replacement, (which I pretty much guessed I'd be going for the replacement), and Sig Cox did that for a nominal fee of around $80. That fee goes towards paying for what ever work is performed, which is the norm with other companies. The new unit runs quieter than the original and we're very happy with it.

They were very prompt and kept me informed as they diagnosed the problem and checked the availability of parts. It was a cold day and I had 2 week old baby so I appreciated the technician's efforts to get our heat back on quickly. He stayed late in order to make sure we had heat that night. We will definitely call Sig Cox again when we have a problem with our heat or air.

I have never dealt with Sig Cox Heating and Air prior to today but when I awoke this morning to a cold house, I checked Angie's List and decided to try them. They told me they could come out later the same day. Kenny called before he arrived to give me time to leave work and meet him. He was right on time and did a great job and answered all of my questions. I am extremely pleased with Sig Cox and would use them again.

They did some work for us in the past & were very friendly & professional. The gentleman that came out to service our unit was timely, professional, & very knowledgeable. He even quoted me on some additional work I wanted to complete in the future with no issue. Written estimate provided that day. Great company

They call, and set up a time as per your schedule, and they call again when they are about 10 minutes out. Very courtesy and professional, they get right to work with the inspection and cleaning. Many people fail to keep their equipment running properly that is why we opted for this twice a year service plan. To avoid costly repairs down the road. There is no mess when they leave.

We called Barrett after having our old unit repaired more than I care to disclose. He was knowledgeable, not pushy, and answered all our questions. We decided on a new unit and they began the install the next day. It took two days because there was also some duct work we wanted replaced. We are very happy with the job they did and will continue our service with them.

To start, I called the office this morning after my heater broke some time last night. I spoke with Abby (sp) in the service department. She was extremely sympathetic to my plight seeing as the coldest night so far this winter will occur tonight. She told me that a technician could be here this afternoon/evening. When Kenny arrived he was very professional in demeanor. The entire time he was here he kept me completely in the loop as to what was going on. Personally, I've never had an issue with feeling like I was being taken advantage of as a female however I know others who have. This was definitely not an issue with this company or Kenny. He even took me up in the attic to show me exactly what had stopped working and to give me a quick tutorial on the inner workings of my HVAC system.

Barrett was very professional. He discussed my options candidly and answered all my questions in a manner that indicated he wanted to best meet my needs, not upsale me. He helped me select a model that was a good fit for the home and budget and was available the next day to replace an old system. From start to finish, it was a great experience, and I would definitely use him again and recommend him to others in the future.

Larry and Marshall were very professional and courteous and thoroughly cleaned and checked the system. They took great pride in their work and the company.

A very professional tech showed up ON TIME the very morning I called, did a diagnostic on the central furnace, and presented the options. No attempt to up sell or BS about anything. He indicated the problem, price, and time to fix it right away. Turned out to be the control board in the furnace as was my suspicion as I used to be a heating and air installer many years ago. He left to get the circuit board from his supplier and was back in 20 MINUTES to complete the repair in short order. He gave me the old part and showed me exactly where the problem was. The dispatch for this company is very responsive, professional, and courteous as well. I have a new go to company as I'm new to the area and Angie's List was a tremendous help in choosing this company. They are highly recommended from a former contractor in the same field (me), and I'm a hard person to impress. They made no requests for me to do this review. Don't forget to use the coupon from this website, it made quite a nice discount in the bill and they are eager to honor it!!

Kenny was fantastic. My brand of heat pump was one that was not sold by Sig-Cox, yet he went to the effort to find the part and obtained it under my warranty. Kenny was extremely knowledgeable about various brands and explained to me everything he did while doing the work. He even corrected a couple of wiring errors made by the original installers (not Sig-Cox). I have to say that my heat pump is now working better than it ever did. He was very punctual and professional in every way. I was particularly impressed with his honesty, integrithy and openness. I will never call anyone else.

Installation took a few hours which was understandable considering the new unit was slightly larger than the old one. The installer insured that everything worked and cleaned up behind himself.

I was having issues with one of my air conditioner units that had been installed from a previous damage claim due to lightening. I have had about 5 different companies providing maintenance and routine checks/services on my air conditioner units, but I was very impressed with the services provide by Sig Cox. Mr Gary Cooper is the most professional and well knowledgeable on the operation and preventative maintenance of the entire system. He talked me through every action that was being performed on my system. Also saved me over $600 in Freon cost by educating me on how prior repairs of the system had not been probably performed. Afterwards I contacted the previous service provider and had them to fix the problem from my discussion with Mr Cooper. After my observation of how well Mr Cooper took pride in his services, it was clear that this company was very concerned with quality and customer service. Afterwards, I immediately told Mr Cooper to sign me up with a Maintenance contract!

I have never done business with this company before but upon receiving terrible service from 2 other companies I decided to do a bit of research to find out who is truly the best AC repair company in this area and the name Sig Cox was the one I continued to have recommended to me. I called this morning and a Service Advisor, Gary Cooper, arrived at my house in less than an hour! He was extremely professional and knowledgable. Also, he showed so much patience in explaining in detail the workings of the unit and the possible solutions to our problem. Now, armed with all the information, I feel confident the course of action we decide to take will be the right one. I am just extremely pleased that I called Sig Cox and that they hire top notch, trust-worthy people!

I have to say that I was very comfortable with my service provider (Gary Cooper). I didn't really know what was the issue but because of scheduling I had to be the one home. Gary explained everything and was so thorough in ensuring I understood the good and the bad of the current situation. I feel horrible that he was caught out in the rain but he worked until it was done and done right. For me customer service is important and he did not leave until I understood and knew what happened, what was replaced and recommended a service plan which I will be doing. I'm not sure how this works but Gary Cooper Jr. provided the greatest service without me worrying about being cheated. Thank you so much to Sig Cox and remember ask for Gary Cooper Jr.!!!!!!!!

After reading excellent Angie's List reviews for Sig Cox, I called them when our AC wasn't working and the inside temperature of our house had reached 90 degrees. I called on a Friday at 3:24 pm. By 3:42 pm, Larry Wilson called to say he was on his way (talk about quick service!). When Larry arrived, he looked over our unit and checked each part to see where the problem was. I know that buying a replacement part is much cheaper than buying a whole new unit. So I was already pleased that Larry was trying to figure out which part was the problem so we wouldn't have to buy a brand new unit. After testing multiple parts, he found that the fan motor needed to be replaced, a mere $425 compared to an estimated $5,000 to replace the entire AC unit. Larry was extremely professional and even explained everything he was doing to include the basics of how the unit works. Larry also recommended a service agreement which includes maintenance of our unit twice for a year (definitely needed). I would definitely recommend Sig Cox to anyone needing AC or heating needs!

Technician Gary Cooper arrived and provided service on a Saturday, a few hours after the provider was called. We received great & thorough service, he was patient, professional and took the time to explain the condition of our unit and PM necessary to maintain it. Our unit ran wonderfully after service was performed we had to increase the temp because the house was so cool that night. I look forward to working with Mr Cooper at Sig Cox again and highly recommend him for unit servicing.

The drain of the upstairs attic ac was clogged and leaking thru the fan of an upstairs bedroom. My upstairs ac was leaking water thru the light and fan of one of the upstairs bedrooms!! Not quite a stream but definitely an emergency. Gary came right out and fixed it in an hour. Thanks so much for the prompt attention. I feel good knowing that my ac is all checked out and running at optimum condition now! NOBODY wants to be without ac in August in Augusta GA!!! Thanks again Sig Cox and a big shout out to Gary!!!

It was so quick, I was helped in under an hour, and he got the a/c up and running like new. Very professional, and I learned about a/c units in the process. They came out during the time promised, and were very affordable.

Showed up on time for the annual inspection. He found a leak in our coolant line. He gave us several options before beginning the work. System seems to be running and cooling great! Technician was VERY nice and friendly, and not creepy like the rest of the A/C techs I've seen over the years!

They were very prompt, polite, and professional. They were the only contractor that provided a creative ducting solution for a room that was not getting sufficient heat. Love the WiFi thermostats they provided so I can change upstairs and downstairs units even when I'm not home. Delivered material and equipment the next day after I accepted their quote and they were completely finished the next day. Cleaned up everything like they were not even there. To top it off, they were the lowest bid and even $2,000 cheaper than the A/C company I have been using for years for our seasonal maintenance. Would recommend them to anyone........ even my own family. What a pleasurable experience!!

Sig has always been punctual and accommodating! I even had them come out on the 4th of July once. It has been years of trying other services and having Sig to come fix the other guy's work. They have always been punctual and professional. I am going to just buy my new system from them and stay with them because I really have tried everyone else. Sig Cox takes care of their customer before, during and after their dealings. My family rests comfortably and I rest assured that they are there for us when we need them!

The owner Barret Donnelly is a super guy to work with. I chose Sig Cox solely based on their Angie's List rating and I'm glad I did. My A/C unit died on a Friday. Thinking that nobody works on the weekend I called Barret on Monday around 11:30 am. He was at my home in 30 min. He told me told me, to my surprise, that he could have put our unit in over the weekend. Barret helped us determine what size unit we needed by explaining the science involved which made the decision very simple. His great price included an upgrade from our previous 2.5 ton to a 3.5 ton, repairing work that the previous HVAC contractor did, and running more ducts to an addition that we created out of the garage. We already had the receptacles installed. Barret sent Steve and Phil to do the work. These guys were incredible! They worked tirelessly. And let me tell you. It got HOT up in that attic. I encouraged them to take breaks but they just kept working. Steve led the two man crew and I found him to be very knowledgeable. They started at about 9:30 am and finished at about 4:30 pm. They did manage to get a short break at about 2:00. However, by that time the new A/C was on. When they were finished they asked me to do a final inspection in the attic. I couldn't believe how good the new duct work looked in comparison to the old. They even hung it. It's clear that Steve and Phil take pride in their work. Steve gave me some final instructions and showed how much pressure was coming out of all of the vents. It was incredible! We've been enjoying cool air ever since. Sig Cox is now my HVAC guys. You can't go wrong using these guys and you'll really appreciate Barret Donnelly's warm spirit. He and those at his company have a strong work ethic and believe in helping families.

Everything was great. The person that talked to us about the product was very courteous and knowledgeable. The installation technician who installed the unit was even greater. He was most courteous and explained everything about the unit and it's operation. He arrived at the agreed upon time and was extremely personable and responsive to all our questions. When he completed his work he explained what he did and what we could expect from the installed unit. Because the installation went very well. (He said it was the easiest one he ever installed.) He then called his office and was able to give us a price reduction for the installation. Overall this was one of out best contractor experience to date. My only regret is that I forgot to buy his lunch like I usually do for service like this.. Thanks Chuck Seitter
