Repairs look great. He matched the color of my home so well that you can't tell where they are. He did a great job. I was very satisfied.
Description of Work: Repaired multiple woodpecker holes on my stucco home siding. He did a great job, and his work was excellent. I'd recommend him to anyone I know needing work on their stucco. He even recommended ways to prevent the pesky critters from repeating their damage to my home.

Outstanding. Patrick and his assistant were punctual, professional and extremely knowledgeable. I had a number of estimates but went with Taylor Stucco and glad I did. Patrick discovered some hidden problems and fixed them at minimal cost. He also went above and beyond when color matching didn't go right he took it upon himself to paint the front of the house at no additional cost. I couldn't be more pleased

Picked Taylor Stucco Inc. because of his reviews on Angie's List and we weren't disappointed. Patrick came out and looked over our stucco issues, explained what he'd do to correct the issue and promised an estimate within a couple of days. I also asked him to price out painting our eaves, since my husband is not at all that fond of ladders. True to his word, we received a detailed estimate with an itemized list of what he would do. After discussing it with my husband and re-reading his reviews on Angie's list, we decided to ask him to schedule us in. They showed up on the day promised and we couldn't be more pleased with the finished product. Patrick and his team were so meticulous and thorough, I'm not sure that if I had a magnifying glass, I'd be able to find a flaw on what they delivered. Patrick holds himself and his team to a pretty high standard. I think he actually put 5 coats of paint on our front door before he was satisfied with how it looked. Great job Taylor Stucco Inc.!! We couldn't be happier with our "New Look"! Evidently we weren't the only ones that loved the look. I know of at least 2 neighbors that asked Patrick to come and give them an estimate.

It went great; I am sorry it took me so long to submit a review. He worked through some of the hottest weather without a complaint. There were several places where the stucco was dented, chipped or eroded, and some of the wood was rotted. Some of the damage had been caused by woodpeckers. Also an outdoor faucet had pulled away from the wall as it hadn't been attached to anything solid. It took a couple of days to complete everything but Patrick did all the stucco repairs, replaced the wood, and did a great job of cutting into the wall and installing a wooden brace for attaching the faucet. He primed, painted, and cleaned up everything afterwards. While there, he pointed out some other items needing attention, i.e. a chimney cap that hadn't been properly fabricated and some roof shingles that needed replacing. He also advised me the stucco should be painted as previous power washings had eroded some of the finish. The first items have been taken care of, and the painting will be done in the future.
Description of Work: Patrick made repairs to the stucco exterior and to the wood eaves.

Horrible. There is nothing worse than having someone waste your day as you wait around for someone who doesn't show up.
Description of Work: Called him on Monday and was told that he only does estimates on Saturdays. I didn't bother calling anyone else due to the great ratings they have gotten. Apparently the reviewers must have been luckier than I was. They didn't bother showing up, they didn't bother returning my call and quite frankly, they won't be working on my house!

Response from TAYLOR STUCCO INC
Yes I give estimates on Saturdays. During the week I work on the job we have been contracted and throughout the week I compile all the requests for estimates and Saturday drive to each location. I do this so I can be on the job each day and some estimates can be within a few miles from each other that helps with driving back and forth. Most customers prefer Saturday estimates because it is there day off and can schedule between 9am and 4 pm. I did go out to the persons house who posted this it was just yesterday. Prior to going out I tried to reach him on the phone number that he gave me 3 times that went straight to voicemail. I left a message saying I was going to be there approximately 40 minutes earlier than expected to please call me back and confirm if this would work for him. He did not call back. I still drove out to his house and no one was home. I took a video of the exterior of his house so if and when he calls back I can see what he is talking about. Before I left I called again phone went straight to voicemail and left a message that I am leaving his house and took a video and to call me when he is able to. Approximately 2 hours later he called and left a voicemail returning my call. I was unable to call back because I was still driving giving estimates I don't understand why someone would post such a negative comment knowing I left 3 voicemails and told him that I took a video. He posted this less than 24 hours later. What makes the situation worse for me that I am being treated unfaily by the post is that leaving his subdivision I ran over a block of wood with nails in it and had to wait over an hour at a service station to plug to holes in my tire.

He is fabulous. He was very thorough. He did a wonderful job in the repair. You cannot even tell that any of the stucco had to be repaired. He is a perfectionist. Not only did he paint the trim around the window, he cleaned the window when he finished and he could not do enough. It is just expert work.

I had a leak in my basement that seemed to originate from a 3 story wall of windows made from hardcoat stucco. Patrick diagnosed the issue as sealing around the windows. The weather was very inclement, being rainy and cold, but over the course of a few days, Patrick sealed the entire bay of windows, all 20 of them! I also had him cut out the stucco at the bottom such that there was no chance of the stucco wicking from below grade. While this is unlikely in hardcoat, it still made me feel better having it done. Patrick did this job impeccably, and even gave me some tips on how to do similar work myself. Patrick went above any beyond, and also correctly diagnosed some non-stucco related leaking I had around my deck. All-in-all, fantastic work! Price listed includes a very generous tip.

This is the third job Patrick has done for us and we have been satisfied each time. He removed the old brick and mortar which was approximately a foot deep. He then put down a layer of about 5-6 inches of concrete as a base. The next day he laid the brick with new stronger mortar. As always, he cleaned up the area each day as promised. It looks great!

It went well except for lots of rain that kept delaying his ability to work. He did what he said he would do and cleaned up each day. Everything went very well.
Description of Work: Patrick repaired and applied new stucco to a retaining wall at the front of our property. The wall had two large cracks running from top to bottom that he patched. He also applied multiple coats of new stucco to the wall, three columns and the large stucco mailbox. It now all looks completely new. In addition, he repaired and applied new stucco and elastomeric sealing paint to another retaining wall that adjoined the side of our home. This wall had pulled away from the house also leaving a large crack as well as having several areas along the wall where the stucco had structurally failed. Patrick very effectively repaired the crack and wall and carefully matched the color to match our home. Patrick is a professional who really knows what he is doing when it comes to stucco and other exterior work. Based on his quality, we are contracting with him for another job of replacing decorative brickwork around a driveway granite medallion.

My wife and I highly recommend "Patrick Taylor Stucco". Patrick was friendly, knowledgeable, professional and punctual. His work was impeccable and his attention to detail was refreshing. His prices were fair and he refused to accept payment until we were completely satisfied. Patrick is an artist when it comes to repairing stucco and the match was perfect. When you hire Patrick for a job, you get Patrick, not a subcontractor. Patrick is the consummate professional and we would feel extremely confident hiring him to perform any of his other services including home inspections, power washing and painting.

First off, let me say this.....Patrick is the "Stucco God". He knows his craft inside and out, backwards and forwards. He really didn't want to do this job, and I can't say that I blame him. It is never easy to come behind someone else's work and try to rectify it. But he did it really well. I wish that he had done the entire job to begin with, but that a lesson learned for another day. He also made sure that I had all the correct products to prevent any issues down the road. He knows his stuff and takes pride in what he does.

Patrick was amazing and I would absolutely recommend him for any job! I've been very overwhelmed with the exterior repairs on my house and he really helped break it down and put all my repairs in priority. What I was so impressed with was his dedication to repairing my door- and the entire job. He also had solutions for my ongoing maintenance and especially avoiding more woodpeckers. And 2 months later, so far so good. His price was extremely reasonable and I'm pretty sure he worked many additional hours over what I paid him. He was great with my schedule and my two crazy (untrained) dogs. He cleaned up after himself everyday and kept me posted on the status. I have a busy schedule and couldn't be (and didn't need to) there all the time. This was very helpful! He also explained every repair in detail. I would without a doubt hire him again and recommend him to anyone. Great job, patrick!

My wife and I were very pleased, overall with Patrick's work. COMPARISON TO OTHER CONTRACTORS I asked him to quote on the job because of all of the positive reviews here on Angie's List. I also had two other companies quote on the work who were not on Angie's List. Patrick said most of the same things I had heard from the other quotes, and his figures were in line with the other companies, maybe slightly less. Plus, he gave me some extra feedback about my roofing as he was checking out the house. He said that my roofing looked like it was really well done. The other companies were trying to get me to add kickout flashing. They told me I don't have any on this house. Patrick pointed out that I actually do have kickout flashing (he showed me exactly where it is), and it's sufficient for this house. So, before he even began the work he was proving his honesty and saving me some money as well. QUOTE AND COMMUNICATION Patrick's quote was the most professional and thorough/detailed of all of the quotes I received. He got it to me the same day he visited my house. And, his prices are firm...no surprises at the end of the job. He is ultra-quick in respoonding. He told me that communicating with him via e-mail was the best way for him. Every time I sent an e-mail, I received a nearly instant response, either via return e-mail or a telephone call. He showed up every day when he said he would and saw the job through to completion. WORK ETHIC Patrick did the additional carpentry to replace the old termite-infested studs for a small additional $40 fee. He went ahead and poured the concrete shelf without even asking me, because he knew it would be beneficial for the end product. He asked If I would consider adding $80 to cover that cost, but was willing to absorb the cost if necessary. I was happy to see him so concerned about going beyond what most contractors would do, so I went ahead and paid the additional cost....definitely worth it, in my opinion. When the job was complete, there was absolutely no mess left afterward. The only way anyone could tell that he had been there was that the stucco had been fixed. QUALITY OF WORK Patrick's skip trowel finish matched the previous texture so well that, based on the texture alone, I can't tell where the old stucco ends and the new begins. His work on this job was extremely thorough and very solid. I can now move into this space with confidence that I won't have any water intrusion. The only way one can tell that any work has been done on this side of the house is because of the difference in paint color, and that's my only disappointment with the job. PAINT COLOR - MY ONLY MINOR DISAPPOINTMENT Before he started the job, Patrick warned me that there may be a slight difference in the paint color. First, the existing paint on the house is old, and it's kind of a different khaki with some yellow/greenish undertones, so matching it perfectly would be difficult. Second, Patrick wanted to use an elastomeric paint (Sherwin Williams Sherlastic), and it has a slight bit of a sheen to it (versus the existing flat paint) which could make the colors look slightly different. He took a few pieces of the old stucco to his supply house to have the color matched. He said they were all out of the Sherlastic paint, so he went with Loxon, which provides similar waterproofing qualities. The color they selected looked like a nearly perfect match on the small pieces of old stucco, but turned out to be darker when painted on the house. I was hoping that it would lighten up after drying, but it's still obvious and noticeable to anyone who might be casually looking at the side of the house. Looks like we will need to go back to Sherwin Williams with the paint and a photo and show them the difference. Maybe they can provide a solution to better match the color so the patchwork won't be quite as noticeable. VERY SATISFIED Again, overall my wife and I are very pleased with Patrick's work. We are already talking with him about another area of stucco that needs some repair and concrete pad for a hose reel. I would highly recommend him to anyone here on Angie's List as well as to all of my friends and acquaintances.
Description of Work: We moved into a foreclosure home (built in 1985) where there was some mold on an interior unfinished basement wall (about 7 or 8 ft wide and maybe rangning from 2 to 5 ft. tall). Water intrusion through the stucco had created the problem. We also had some crumbling stucco on the lower portion of the wall below the back deck. I had a mold remediation company remove the area of moldy stucco and drywall, scrub and seal all of the framing and use air scrubbers to get rid of any remaining mold spores and smells. After the mold remediation was complete (which also included some interior wall structures in the basement), Patrick began his work. SIDE OF HOUSE Before he started, he reminded me that a couple of wood framing supports needed to be replaced from a many-years-old termite infestation. I forgot to have a carpenter come out to do that work after it was revealed during the mold remediation. So, Patrick removed the old studs and sistered in new studs to make sure there would be no future support problems. Also, the previous owner had glopped some concrete at the base of the stucco in an attempt to get water to move away from the house. Patrick chipped that all away and replaced it with a nice, molded concrete shelf (about 4 inches wide and along the entire 7 or 8 ft of the side of the house), just below the level of the foundation slab to keep water from invading into the house. Then, he put up Durock cement board, instead of the gypsum board that was previously used. He covered that with felt as a vapor barrier (the builder of the house never used a vapor barrier). Then he added the wire lath and then added the base coat of stucco. Then he added the skip trowel (textured) finish that the rest of the home has. He used Tremco Poyurethane Hybrid Sealant to seal the base of the stucco to the concrete shelf. He used the same sealant for two vertical cracks from the top of the house to ground level of the basement where the stucco covered, masonry chimney had settled and left gaps on both sides. And, finally he painted all of the work to match the rest of the house using Sherwin Williams Loxon masonry paint. BELOW DECK Patrick removed the crumbling stucco and replaced it as listed above. The only difference here was that there was no Durock necessary and no concrete shelf necessary, because this area of stucco is on a poured concrete wall.

Patrick came out and provided an estimate for the work - to replace the damaged portion (about 12 square feet), repair and reseal the quoin corners, and repaint to match the color of the wall and quoins. I was pleasantly surprised by the estimate - not cheap, but not as bad as I had feared. Patrick fit my job into his schedule about 10 days after I agreed to the contract on a Friday. He arrived promptly and he and one assistant got immediately to work. They finished repairs by mid-afternoon and arranged to come back on Monday to apply the stucco pattern and paint. (It was supposed to rain over the weekend). On Monday, he arrived early an put the pattern coat on. He wasn't happy because the original job was done sloppily, but he managed to make a very good match. He was able to get a very good match to the paint colors (wall was one color, quoins were another). The upper area of the wall had weathered less than the damaged area, and the paint wasn't as good a match there, but this wasn't Patrick's fault, and he has offered to take another sample from a less weathered area and get a better matching paint at no additional charge. He'd warned me from the beginning that "it would be obvious that there was a patch there", but in the end, he made a very good match. It wasn't obvious at all. I would recommend Taylor Stucco to anyone who needs EIFS repairs.
Description of Work: I had some EIFS (synthetic stucco) that needed repairs due to water damage. Incompetent work by a landscaping team had put a retaining wall and earth in contact with the stucco wall, and laziness on my part had left it there until the damage was done. The stucco had rotted completely through - I could put my fingers outside from inside the basement. In addition, some quoin corners and a few other spots had been attacked by woodpeckers. Finally, there was a loose electrical outlet penetrating the stucco.

I contacted Taylor Stucco primarily to help fix a problem on my front porch. I had a couple of ideas on how to deal with the problem that involved both carpentry and stucco. Neither were ideal and Patrick came up with a third solution that neatly solved my problem. The work started sooner than promised and would have been completed much sooner if the weather had cooperated. The pressure washing was completed first and was done meticulously. The sealing and repairs were done while the decks and porches were being washed. Then the decorative band was installed and painted. Patrick made a great effort to tint the paint used to cover the new band so that it would match the existing stucco. The finished product looks like it was part of the original construction. He also resealed some joints on the front stairs and generally did more than I expected. During the entire process a lot of care was taken to ensure that the work areas were not messed up with paint or stucco materials. A superior job that far exceeded expectations.
Description of Work: Pressure washed various deck, porch and wall surfaces. Repaired some areas of cracking and insect damage. Sealed around electrical outlets, hose bibs, and other intrusions in multiple locations. Installed a decorative band of stucco that addressed a problem area.

The hardcoat stucco of my home is 20 years old and was in need of major repairs in one location; minor repairs in several locations, including two chimney holes caused by woodpeckers. There was some oxidation which caused staining in spots and numerous small cracks. I also need the windows and fixtures sealed to the stucco. Patrick did a comprehensive estimate explaining to me in detail what should be done (caulking-sealing), as well as what could be done cosmetically (painting), without a hard sell. I contracted for all the repairs as well as the painting. The repairs look great, you cannot see where the damage was. He painted the stucco by roller, two coats and in some places three when needed. He explained to me why hand painting (though more timely and expensive) was preferable to spraying. After the job commenced I asked him to price out a couple of additional minor painting projects, several outdoor light fixtures, the iron fence, and the window sills. He gave me a fair price for the additional work. He was meticiulous in his work and cleanup and the house looks brand new. If you need stucco work , I strongly recommend Taylor Stucco.
