I think that he did a great job and I was very pleased with the work that he did. The work that he did turned out great. I thought that the price was reasonable. He was professional, responsive and punctual.
Description of Work: I used Taylor Stucco Inc. about a year or so ago and he did some reinforcement on some stairs going up to the deck, painted the deck, and replaced and painted the front door.

After doing an "A" stucco repair, which I reported, I mentioned having a leaking problem with a shed-type plastic porch roof. Patrick said that though that was not his specialty, he would look at it. After sealing all nails, which had cracked the plastic in many places, he went to Home Depot and got some mastic-coated rubber flashing and covered all nails and seams. Corrected the problem for a very reasonable price.
Description of Work: Successfully patched a chronically leaking plastic porch roof.

Patrick came out to look over our issues with the stucco. He later emailed an estimate. We agreed on the estimate. He started the work exactly when he said he would. They pressure washed the stucco and then began to repair the cracks and chips. Then followed up with painting using the elastomeric paint. The stucco looks fabulous now. The whole job took a week. Patrick was very meticulous and pointed out some other issues we have with some rotted siding and trim around windows. He was very professional and I would definitely hire him again.

Patrick treated our house as if it were his own; better in fact, since we had overlooked a water leak that resulted in mold. He simultaneously looked at the big picture of our house repairs and paid attention to the smallest detail. I have never seen anyone clean up the job site on a daily basis as thoroughly as he did. He did an excellent job of explaining what he was doing as he went along and giving me relevant information when there were repair options to choose from. His work ethic and quality standards are beyond excellent.
Description of Work: Patrick performed the following work: completely rebuilt, from substrate to finish coat and caulk, a large section of the synthetic stucco wall at the back of my house which had been taken down due to mold and termite damage; removed faulty flashing at the deck line and installed new flashing; removed the old caulk, painted the stucco on my entire house, rolling on two coats (no sprayer) and hand painting the side surfaces of the trim to make sure that they had a three-dimensional look; removed downspouts to paint behind them and reinstalled them; repaired the stucco as needed as he worked his way around the house; pointed out areas that may need to be fixed in the future; pointed out areas on my wooden windows that were rotten and needed to be repaired; repaired stucco at the front of the house where I had light fixtures repositioned; painted the chimney cap; spent his time helping us diagnose how and where water had gotten into our house.

Super. Patrick is very knowledgeable, has both the expertise and materials to do a near-perfect patch. Excellent communicator, prompt, no mess, fair price. Also knows a great deal about other house problems and materials for remedies.
Description of Work: Dryvit (artifical stucco) was falling away from house around one area at front foundation. Patrick recognised the cause, had some of the now-obsolete finish, stripped and replaced the defective section, and recovered it to the point that it's almost indistinguishable from the original.

I would recommend Patrick Taylor for anyone needing stucco repair. I have never had a contractor or repairman that was so focused on fixing the problem and then making it look like it had never happened in the first place. I would not hesitate to use him again, and would advise any Angie's List subscribers in the Atlanta area that are looking to have their stucco repaired, stop looking, because this is your guy.
Description of Work: We had a verticle crack in our stucco that was about 5-6 feet from the ground. Patrick was very professional on the phone and asked if I could take a digital picture and e-mail him so he could get an idea of what to expect when he arrived. He showed up early and didn't leave until the patched area was absolutely p-e-r-f-e-c-t. Not close, not adequate, but picture perfect. He even made an additional trip to the paint store to match the color to a "T," because the original color chosen wasn't "quite right." While he was here, he inspected the entire house and pointed out several hairline cracks (very small and cosmetic only) and instructed me how to repair them in the future. He also identified a dangerous crack that I had not noticed that was allowing water to seep in. It was directly above an area we had been having problems with in the basement (ceiling tiles) during heavy rains, and I feel sure this will take care of that problem. Patrick fixed this at no additional cost to the original estimate.

Excellent job- Patrick was timely with estimate, getting us on his schedule; he was punctual for his work days and finished the job in time frame given. He was thorough with his work and repair- explained what he was doing and why- chimney not only looks 100% better, it is now sound and sealed. He cleaned up after the job in a timely manner too. We were in a hurry to get our house on the market and he finished the job over a holiday weekend for us. Patric was friendly, knowledgable, and did an outstanding job. We would use the company again.

Patrick with Taylor Stucco did an excellent quality job. You cannot even tell where the patches were done on the stucco cracks. Patrick takes his time and believes in doing a job right. He is truly an expert when it comes to stucco. We have a large home and he also painted the exterior of the home using special elastomeric stucco paint. We had many different paint colors that Patrick used. He was very patient and kind with me in using all my colors and in being detail-oriented. After they were done, the job site was cleaned up very well. We are planning on hiring Patrick again one day.
Description of Work: We had one large crack and several smaller cracks in the stucco. We also had improper caulking for stucco around many of the windows. Repairs were made and the whole exterior of the home was painted.

He returned my call right away, came to the house when he said and was very honest and helpful. My leak was actually from a vent not the stucco. He easily could have tried to sell me on some type of "waterproofing" but was an honest guy..explained where he thought my leak was coming from...and even stayed and talked/offered several solutions on how to fix the problem. I would use him in a minute if I actually had a stucco prob or needed new stucco work.

He was quite knowledgable, professional, responsive, prompt, he cleaned up after his work. He did extra power washing in the area, just because he thought it wouldn't look right if he didn't (no charge). I was quite happy with the whole experience.
Description of Work: Patrick evaluated all stucco aspects on house. I knew of two major problems where roof met stucco and where stucco met the ground (two sizable holes). He showed me other potential problem areas, he explained alot about stucco in general and my house in particular. He came up with options and prices and explained very well what to expect short-term and long-term. I paid him to repair the roof issue and other cracks and defects. We both thought a foundation person would be more appropriate to evaluate and fix the lower issue, though possibly he will come back to fix that as well after foundation issue resolved.

Patrick Taylor is the reason people use Angie's List. His work is excellent and his prices are very reasonable. Just as important, he is honest, frank, and concientious. From the first day it was obvious that he truly cared about his work and my house. I've generally had good luck with Angie's List; on a one to ten scale I would give most providers a 7, 8, or 9. Taylor Stucco, Inc rates a solid 10 across the board.
Description of Work: Patrick removed a section of soft stucco exterior in order to repair water damage to the house frame. He repaired studs, replaced sheathing and insulation, and replaced and painted the new stucco to match the surrounding stucco. Then he examined the roof and discovered the source of the leak that caused the water damage. He removed stucco, shingles and flashing around the affected area. Turns out the flashing was installed improperly when the house was built. He fully repaired the roof and after subsequent heavy rains I am confident the problem is completely fixed. He also repaired and painted interior dry wall that I had ripped out when I was first exploring the extent of the damage.

Terrific experience. Customer service is very important to them. Our chimney was very high and difficult to access. Patrick built the scaffolding and problem solved to get the job completed. It was a very windy and cold day, yet Taylor Stucco was very diligent and did a quality job! They took extra care to match the paint and make sure I was happy with the job. I highly recommend Taylor Stucco!

He gave us a very good price initially and about a week into it we had to change the project (due to some price constraints we were having). He was very understanding and will be coming back when we are ready to paint the entire work and do all of the siding. He power washed our front walk way for free- I was shocked! He was very nice and I can't recommend him highly enough.

Patrick did have to add an additional estimate to the original when he realized he had a more challenging job than originally thought, but he was very fair about it and explained to me all of the additional work he had to do. I was very pleased with the work from start to finish and would recommend him to anyone who wants an excellent job done for them in stucco repair. The best!
Description of Work: Patrick came out on time, gave me an estimate which I approved and began the work the next day. It was a difficult task of working in a small, but very high area and he had to build a workstation that was a challenge and then fill in two very large, framed architectural holes in the stucco in the front of my home over the front doors, which I didn't like when I bought the home two months ago. He ran into a hard-coat stucco problem, which he did not anticipate, but worked it out and the holes and hole frames are now gone and the stucco repair looks wonderful and the stucco front of the home looks like it was always there. What a perfectionist!

Patrick came out to give us an overview of our stucco needs, repairs, and items which might be indicated in an inspection report. We decided to start with the cosmetic work first. Rain was in the forecast and we wanted the work done as soon as possible. Patrick worked double-time to complete an earlier job so that he could get to our home and hopefully beat the forecasted rainy weather. He showed up early and was planning to finish the work in 1 day. Patrick was not satisfied with the paint matched from a patch sample on our house and made a 2nd trip downtown to obtain a closer result. His efforts were non-stop, while checking the skies for oncoming rain. He worked until dark and was back at our home as soon as the sun came up the following day. He stayed and completed all the work, saw a few more items needing attention and addressed them and cleaned up just as it started to drizzle. Patrick was determined to deliver a high quality finished product and his expectations were actually higher than mine. He took the time to explain our options and the steps he would need to take to complete the job. His one-day job turned into two and he offered to return if we were dissatisfied for any reason. I would definitely trust Patrick again should we need further stucco work.
Description of Work: Cosmetic work done to prepare stucco home for sale. Repaired crack , painted trim, applied correct caulking , replaced missing downspout, general overall touch up. Gave estimate on potentially cutting stucco and applying suggested caulking.

Patrick originally repaired and patched the synthetic stucco from wear and tear and where a bird had pecked a hole. Before painting, he removed two non-functioning outdoor speakers and patched the stucco. He did a great job helping us select appropriate paint colors and had the quoin color remixed to more closely match what we thought the color would be from the swatch. He also painted our mailbox, which is stucco and attached new numbers. He pressure washed and re-stained our deck and sanded down and repainted iron railing on our front porch. We have never owned a synthetic stucco home and Patrick took time to explain to us what was needed to repair and maintain the stucco. He examined the locations where the gutters came into contact with the stucco to make sure these spots were in good condition. His patch work is flawless; you'd never know we had speakers removed and one was immediately beside our front door. The paint job is great. He took the time two apply two coats and the house looks like new. He also attached new street numbers to our mailbox. Our deck has an arbor which required a lot of detail attention and Patrick took the time to make sure all the beams were done correctly. The wrought iron railing on our front porch had bubbles and rust from age. Patrick sanded them smooth as silk, and then repainted them and they look great. Patrick takes a lot of pride in his work, and justifiably so. He was prompt in coming out for the quote and started the work when he said he would. He did lots of extras, like attaching the street number to the mailbox, for no extra charge. We couldn't be happier with the results.

In one word, outstanding! Patrick returned our phone call within 24 hrs after I called for an estimate and when he came out to look at the house he spent a great deal of time trying to access the damage and figuring out the best way to make the repair. It didn't take long to realize that this guy new what he was talking about and I was confident that he was the one we wanted to fix our stucco problems. Patrick was the only one to give a very detailed estimate and once we accepted the bid, he started bringing out scaffolding immediately. We had a great experience. I've NEVER said that before about a contractor! Taylor Stucco will be called on again and referred to our friends and neighbors.
Description of Work: A whole three foot wide length on the side of our hard coat stucco home was buckled and chunks of stucco were falling off the house due to a missing expansion joint. This occurred on the side of our home that is three stories tall needing two levels of scaffolding to reach the area repaired. A four foot section was cut down the entire length of the house. A expansion joint was installed and new lathe and stucco was reapplied. The new texture was applied and once painted I don't think anyone would ever know the problem had ever occurred. We were impressed at how close the new texture blended with the original skip trowel texture. We also had four kick out flashing installed on each side of our chimney and on two corners of the house. One of these kick outs required extra stucco work to repair damage the excessive water run off had done to the wall. Patrick even went above and beyond what we were paying to make sure the water issues we had were fixed by installing extra flashing where the roof line of our garage hit a inside stucco wall. This arrangement was causing water to run down the inside of the wall staining the wall in the garage. We also had another small buckle next to the front porch that was caused when the stone porch has settled and pulled on the stucco. There were a few other places were stucco had fallen off and left a hole for water to get in so he patched those as well. It took one week to fix the expansion joint issue and 3-4 days for the other repairs working around rain delays.

As I said before Patrick has been here several times over the years for different jobs. He is always prompt, polite, finishes the job when he says he will and is very reasonable for the amount and quality of the work he does. There is no one else we would let touch the stucco on our home and it is really beautiful now as compared to when we bought the home in 1996.
Description of Work: Patrick Taylor has worked for us off and on since 1997. We have an all stucco home that had some major problems from building and no upkeep from the previous owners. He did various repairs and over all work through the years and always accommodated our every wish. He has redone the chiminies and cut along the soil line to prevent intrusion problems. The last time he worked for us, he redid several of the walls and completely painted a sealer paint to prevent any further cracking.

Patrick was a real professional. He returned my email request within 24 hours, and was even willing to show up on th weekend after Thanksgiving to give us an estimate. That says a lot to me. They day Patrick agreed to come to the house to give the estimate, he was on time... down to the minute. Patrick was very thorough and provided lots of information regarding the stucco on my house. After talking with him for 10 minutes, I felt real comfortable that he knew his stuff. On the scheduled work date, Patrick again showed up on time and completed the work very quickly. The work Patrick did was as close to perfect as you can get.
