I had high cupboards that were very difficult ot use and I am only 5'3" and they made rollout shelves for them which made them much more useful!!!

Description of Work: They added pull-out shelves (3 each) to both bottom kitchen corner cabinets, 3 pull-out shelves to another bottom kitchen cabinet (with the bottom shelf attached to the door), and converted half of my wide hall closet into a pantry with pull-out shelves. | |The installer showed up on time, was very professional, and worked very efficiently. Before he started he went over what I had ordered and how it would be installed with me to make sure it was right. When he finished, he did the same thing again. Everything fit perfectly except for one shelf which had a blemish. He went ahead and installed it for me to use while he ordered a replacement shelf. He came out with the replacement shelf a couple of weeks later and installed it for me. It has been almost a year and I still love the roll-out shelves. They are sturdy and have held up well (and I did not order the more expensive ones - after all they are shelves that go behind doors).

Description of Work: They took out old early-IKEA style storage racks, etc. and replaced them with wooden sliding drawers. They also replaced/refaced the cabinet doors and drawer fronts throughout the kitchen and the new material is so easy to clean...it's all white now with chrome knobs and I love it!

Description of Work: Date is approximate. Our experience with Shelf Genie was great. A representative came to our house, took measurements, and scheduled the manufacturing of our shelves (everything is tailor-made for the job). We were contacted to schedule a visit by the person who would do the installation. | |He took additional measurements and worked with us to design the combination and sizes of the shelves. In our case it was an entire pantry with shelves from top-to-bottom, as well as slide out shelves above built-in microwave and oven. His experience kept us from making some mistakes, such as having slide-out shelves up too high. | | |A week or so later the installer and his assistant arrived to do the installation. Because of the detailed preparation the job went quickly an smoothly. We love the new pantry. It is so much easier to access items in the back of each shelf by simply pulling it out. The shelves and associated hardware are of high quality and designed to hold more weight than we would ever subject them to. We are especially pleased to have the shelf above the built-in over outfitted with slots and separators, which is a perfect place to store things like lids and cutting boards. | |It isn't cheap, but neither is the product. We have enhanced the utility, appearance and value of our storage spaces thanks to Shelf Genie.

Description of Work: I learned about Shelf Genie products at a home and garden show. I had them install rolling shelves in a narrow deep pantry in my kitchen. Now I can utilize all the space in the pantry. I think I have about 4 times the storage since the shelves were installed. The installers came as scheduled and finished in a timely manner leaving the area clean. It is a bit pricey but for me it was worth it for a custom installation.

Description of Work: I contacted this company (Shelf Genie) at their booth at the 2012 Capital Home and Garden Show at Dulles Expo re possibility of having additional pull-out shelf/drawers installed in some of my lower kitchen cabinets. The young woman (Andrea) who came to our home was very good--listened to what I wanted, took measurements, followed up several times, etc.--but, in the end, Shelf Genie's prices were twice as much as I was prepared to pay. After considerable research, I ended up buying the pull-outs from Costco and having a handyman install them in September 2012.

Description of Work: The product was installed in our kitchen. It was design service. Neither you nor the designer know exactly how it will work until it is installed. The more experience a designer has they could anticipate more details. You do need to be a smart customer to use their product.
