Overall it went well. We had just purchased our first home as a foreclosure, so knew there may be some surprises in the plumbing system. Kevin came out was very straight forward regarding pricing and went right to work locating the leak. He was able to locate the first leak and fixed it right away. Unfortunately the second leak came as a surprise, and I did have some water come through the living room of my house. This job really would have been suited for two plumbers, but Kevin did the best he could to get it cleaned up. We then scheduled for him to come back tomorrow morning to finish the job. The next day he arrived mid afternoon, which worked out better with my schedule, and finished repairing the second and third leak area. After that he dewinterized home and explained common household skills (ex. turning on pilot lights, fixing running toilet), This was very helpful, and he was very open to any questions.

They did a great job very quickly and even recommended a drywall professional to come in and patch the wall for us. Timing was of the essence since our twins were born a week later.

Called Ridgeway Mechanical at 10:30am. They gave me a quote for new water heater of $900.00 (almost 1/2 the price of others quoted). Got a call at 11:15 that someone would be there in 30 minutes. Gentlemen arrived at 11:35. Gentlemen were finished by 1:00pm (at the latest). We have hot water and everything is fine. Good job.

Ver well. Other plumber sais we would have to remove haerdwood floor in foyer. This company was able to do the work without removing the floor.

They had to come several times to isolate where the leak would be. They sent out a specialist, because they couldn't find it. The specialist was less than we thought it would be. They did not charge us for all of the visits. They were very honest and cleaned up when they were done. The were great. They thought they were done, but found another leak. They stayed and fixed it without complaining, and didn't charge us for staying over.

They ended up sending someone to our house the next day at the exact time they explained they would. They gave me an estimate on the spot for a new water heater and to replace the other 2. I asked when they would be able to perform the work and he explained he could do it right now. Which was a very pleasant surprise. So I told him to go ahead and start working. He called the office to tell them exactly what he needed. He was able to get everything taken care of besides hooking up the electricity. So he finished everything that he could and we were very satisfied with the work.

.The company responded right away and was able to come out the next day which was a Saturday. The plumber who came out was very professional and friendly. I have no knowledge of the cost to repair plumbing issues so I accepted the price given with the expectation that it was a fair and honest quote. I was charged $500 for work that took less than an hour to complete using supplies from home depot that cost no more than $24 a piece . After consulting with a friend who is a plumber in New York and someone else who had MAJOR plumbing work done for far less money, I realized I was way overcharged. All I did was to pay. They went and did it. They did the project and I'm not having any issues with their work. We had clean water as far as I know. I would probably use them in the future.

We had multiple issues with our HVAC systems while our newly purchased home was under a homeowner's warranty purchased by the seller. Ridgeway Mechanical was the company that came out for the warranty repair. While they did the bare minimum to get the units back up running they did get the systems working. They were pretty punctual about showing up, but they were not prompt in scheduling the appointment.
I wouldn't use them again because I felt like they were just in business to service the home warranty company.

I was satisfied and it went good. I looked them up on Angie's List and there were a couple of good reviews on them and they were close. I knew what the price was going to be before I had them install it and they came the same day I called them.

They returned my phone call quickly on Tuesday, sent someone by to take a look at the job on Wednesday afternoon, gave me a quote and came back the next day while I was at work and did the job. When they were done, they called to let me know they had finished and agreed to leave the bill in my mailbox so I could check their work when I got home and call in my payment when I was satisfied. Overall, I was quite pleased with how it it went, and I'll certainly call them if I have need for a plumber in the future.

I was out of town and my wife called me to tell me the hot water heater was leaking. I called Ridgeway, felt comfortable with his knowledge and matter of fact conversation, and a reasonable price. He came that day and replaced the hot water heater. It was easy and he did what he said he would do.

I had out-of-town guests when my faucet started leaking water. I used Ridgeway Mechanical in the past and didn't hesitate to call them again. I did have to leave a message, but Alan called back within an hour and James arrived to my house about an hour after that. After looking at the sink I had purchased at The Home Depot and my connections, James recognized that he would need to extend the water lines to make it work. Luckily he had the necessary parts on his truck. He estimated it would cost about $260. The price seemed high to me, but I didn't get any other estimates. Because their estimates were inline with other plumbers in the past and their work has always been impeccable, I still elected to move forward. While James was under my kitchen sink, he also noticed that one of my drains needed to be fixed. Again, lucky for me, he had the necessary parts on his truck and was able to fix that for $75--saving me potentially future damage and another trip.

Ridgeway came out the next day for an estimate. The following day they arrived promptly at 8:30. James Burgess and his helper were courteous and imformative. I am impressed with how careful James was with the back hoe since the power, water, phone, and Comcast cable were within a few inches both sides of the dig. Ridgeway is a professional company and you can trust them do a good job.

We scheduled an early afternoon appointment with Ridgeway to repair a sewer backup. The appointed time came and went, so we called and got another time, which came and went. We were repeatedly promised that someone would be there, but after 6:30 PM they stopped returning our calls. Ridgeway left us in a really bad position with no functional sewer, and we were forced to find another place to stay until we could find a reliable contractor the next day. They were subsequently completely unapologetic, and never took ownership of their failing. Worst experience ever with a plumber (or any other service contractor for that matter).
