They have done several things for me and for my neighbor. They are about as good as you can get. The price was good; I can say that I got quality work for the money that I paid. I would recommend them to others. They were neat, cleaned up after they were done, very knowledgeable and I had no problems with them.

I called them Saturday morning expecting to have to wait until Tuesday after Labor Day. Initially they were going to come Monday, but were able to fit me in on Sunday at no extra charge (holiday or weekend emergency rate). They arrived promptly at 8am and began. The work was great and the new line was installed. They took care and caution of the existing utilities. Talking to others in the neighborhood who had their water mains replaced as well, I feel this was a fair price. I will be using Ridgeway from now on for other plumbing needs.

Guys did a great job with the small problem that I had. They put down a tarp, and were careful. They cleaned up nicely. They were courteous.

Our water main broke Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon Ridgeway Mechanical was on site. They stopped the leak, installed a temporary fix, and they were back out on Tuesday to complete the job. They installed a new line from the street to the house on a lot that provided some topographical challenges. Ridgeway Mechanical may not be the most inexpensive option, but I found their work to be solid, they were very responsive, and they finished before their original estimate of labor. Alan, Sal and Mike all were courteous, helpful and did a great job.

Excellent. They saved me at least $2000 vs. other contractor and did not damage my newly landscaped yard and my sprinkler system because of their underground boring technology. They did the work in one day and were professional and on-time. Other contractor was sketchy.

They were fast, efficient, honest, and very reasonable when it came to pricing. I'd definitely call them again.

James arrived very close to his estimated time on a Sunday morning and was able to repair a 1940's part. He also looked at alternative solutions which a previous plumber, perhaps not as experienced, hadn't thought of. He seemed very experienced and knowledgeable and I'm considering using him and his company for my total plumbing renovation in a couple of months.

A pipe leading to the bathroom roman tub started leaking at a connection between the faucet and the pipe. I pinpointed the leak and I removed some of the tiles on the side of the tub (to reach the faucet/pipe connection leak point) I temporarily put some sealer on it but had to leave for work so I called Ridgeway to finish it as some of the handymen I knew were unavailable. They came on a timely manner and completed the job but the price charged wasn't fair at all. I say this because one its a very simple and basic plumbing job and took less than thirty minutes with a very minimal material cost and its in the middle of the day and not even a weekend or night thing. As a comparison I had the entire faucet in replaced before, including retiling and the handyman only charged $75, on another time a different plumbing company fixed a similar leak in another bathroom the cost $110 (10 was actually a tip as I was impressed with the cleanness and quickness). Needless to say I won't call them.

Start to finish. I was expecting just an estimate and he stayed and fixed everything. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and did a great job! I have already planned to have some more work done by Ridgeway.

I spoke with Allan by phone and explained the problem. He asked how old the house was and I told him it was built around the 60's/early 70's. He said that typically for a house that age if the faucets had never been replaced he would not recommend just replacing the stems or the handles but the entire portion which would require cutting a hole in the wall to get to the fixtures so they could be replaced. He was confident enough in the requirements of the work to give me a straight quote sight unseen and without an appointment for an estimate. He said the price didn't include hardware but advised me to buy a mid-priced set. We scheduled the appointment for the work to be done at 1:00 a few days later. On the scheduled day, the doorbell rang at exactly 1:00 and Ryan introduced himself. After a quick review of the situation, he confirmed exactly what Allan had said, prepared the invoice and left it for my review while he proceeded to finish the job professionally.

We called twice and never received a return phone call to set up an appointment. Very disappointed after all the great reviews. They seemed too busy to take on our bathroom remodel.

Everything went smoothly. Very courteous technician. He had to do a little bit more work than initially anticipated due a difference between the replacement part and the original part. However, there was no additional cost from my initial estimate on the phone.

I selected Ridgeway because their approach was the least invasive, no trenching, no alternative hook-ups, no damage to landscaping, no need to dig up the driveway. The job could be performed within a day or two vs. waiting a week or two for other providers. I spoke with Alan about their approach. Sal came out to my house to estimate the job and then came back with a small crew to perform the work. The job took about an hour, far less time than what other plumbers quoted. The price was the same however. They did everything according to plan and were very professional in their approach. They really do have a better methodology for waterline replacement, you will save hassle but not money. There was some concern whether the new smaller diameter pipe would provide enough water supply and pressure. Absolutely no problem has been experienced. If anything, my water pressure has increased noticeably.

They did not come when they said they were going to and the work in the basement was done all wrong. The water is still leaking into the basement but not as bad. We have been trying to get them to come back, but they do not answer our calls. My husband fixed it a little bit, so the damage is not so bad. I would not recommend them to anyone.

What an amazing experience this has been. I am almost in tears as I'm writing this review, as I've been going through a tough time having recently closed on a condo and realized that half the shower wall in one bathroom was completely water damaged. Although they were initially unable to come out one Friday afternoon, Alan called within 45 minuets of my appointment time and asked if Mike could come out on a Saturday afternoon. Having read the raving reviews on Angie's List, I had to agree. Mike came out and fixed my leak, but told me had to return to fix my valves because he had to turn the water off to the condo building and I had to provide my neighbors with notice. He just left, and after 3 hours of hard work, he left my condo spotless and the work looks wonderful. He has to come back once I get the wall patched up, but what a treat it is to work with people who a) actually know what they're doing b) priced competitively c) has amazing customer service d) ARE ON TIME!

He was very quick. He said he would be out and shortly after, he was there as he said he would. The young man was concentrated on his work. He knew his business and was very quick and efficient. I would call them again.

The plumber who came was very quick, efficient and fixed everything.

Alan Ridgeway and a partner came out to do the replacement. These guys did a fantastic job! They were efficient and knowledgeable. They did a minimal tear-up of our front lawn. They worked very hard and charged a very fair price after asking neighbors what they had paid other plumbers to do the same kind of work. They cleaned up after themselves when they were finished. I would recommend them highly to friends/neighbors and would call them again for any plumbing needs.

Service person did work on time and competently. Price estimate was price charged. My research revealed that price charged was quite reasonable. In trying to effect payment, we played phone tag a bit and contractor was quite patient. Considering that I had to handle this whole transaction while I was out of town and that the repair involved a tenant, I appreciated contractor's discretion and professionalism. My only regret is that I forgot mention the coupon! Hopefully, I will get a double coupon rebate the next time I use this contractor!

Excellent service. They were very accommodating in timing their arrival to my office hours, they arrived prepared to work, completed the job within 3 or 4 hours. When it came time to pay the bill, the representative even reminded us that we used Angie's List to find them and that they were giving us the coupon rate for the job. Considering this was an emergency call, I was very impressed with their response time and with their price. Very satisfied, would recommend highly.

Called Alan on Monday morning and talked through options to replace leaking water heater. We agreed on plan of action and completed project by 10 AM the next day.

Overall, it went very well. Mike was the plumber. He came the first morning and installed pipes parallel to the existing lines throughout the house. He minimized damage to drywall by coming up through the floors behind toilets and in sink cabinets. The second day he was late, due to an emergency job first thing in the morning. He finished hooking up the new plumbing and removing the old plumbing. During the day the supply line was replaced also. The work was "nearly done" when we got home from work. Though the owner, Alan Ridgeway, had been at the house during the supply line replacement, Mike was alone when he turned the water back on. connection was not installed properly, and a certain amount of the basement was soaked. After fixing that problem, first one crack was discovered, then another after the 1st was repaired. They didn't leave until after 10 PM. CPVC is susceptible to cracking during installation. The first leak was just a mistake. Still happy overall, though.

When Mr. Ridgeway called back, he asked if I had tried the reset button on the disposal. I had no knowledge of such a button. On the phone, he guided me to its location. I pressed the button, and the garbage disposal was working again.

The plastic water pipe between the water meter and my home began to leak. I had diagnosed the problem by turning off the main water valve in the house and determining that the water meter was still turning. I called at 7:30 am and by 9:00 am, Sal was there and confirmed the problem. I called the emergency number for the utility locater service. While we waited, Sal added an expansion tank above the hot water heater. This was not required when the house was built but is now required. I had noticed the the water pressure seemed to creep up overnight and that the pressure was very high when you opened the first faucet of the day. Sal agreed that the pressure reducing valve needed replacement. While Sal had the torch out, I asked him to replace the main shutoff valve with a ball valve.
