Mike was great. Professional, reasonable pricing, great service and responsiveness. I would highly recommend him and will continue to use him in the future.

Mike was accurate, prompt, detail oriented skillful and professional. He did multiple jobs and it was great that I did not have to call separate services for pluming, electrical work etc. He was always on time and communicated promptly via text or e-mail. The quality of work is great and the price is reasonable. The guys cleaned up properly after every job and Mike was a great adviser for what work actually needed to be done as opposed to doing unnecessary and costly work ..I would highly recommend him and will use his services again.

We have worked with Mike many times, and it was a no-brainer to hire him for such an important job as helping us get our house show-ready. As usual, he was on time, prepared, and professional; the work was exactly what we needed and requested. He also provided helpful guidance when we asked--having owned and sold many properties, he has a great deal of experience in that area.

He came the day I called him, and fixed the problems in less than an hour. He didn't try to make more of a job than it had to be. He was professional and friendly, and the work is fine. I'd happily use him again.

The glass on my exterior door shattered this winter, not sure if it was due to temperature or improper original installation. Since this door needed to be repaired, I decided to take the opportunity to replace my master bedroom door with something nicer that would allow some light to my stairwell. Originally, I made the assumption that it would be a good idea to contract the installation through Home Depot since I was purchasing the doors from them. Home Depot lost my measurements and it took them almost 8 weeks and numerous hours of my time to get the order correct. At this point, I was very concerned about letting them do the installation work. Feeling extremely frustrated ... I turned to Angie's List (which I should have done first) to find a contractor. Mike is AMAZING! He is extremely professional, has a great personality and showed up on the given date to provide quotes for work needing to be done. Not only was his price more reasonable for installing the doors, but he double checked Home Depot's measurements and gave me additional advice on what materials to order for the project, saving me quite a bit of money. Once the doors were available ... Mike picked up the doors, installed them in an afternoon, and disposed of the old doors. I'm sooooo happy with Mike's high quality work. Mike kept in constant communication with me and was always available for questions. He put me at complete ease and his work quality is superior. I have recommended Mike to several of my friends (already) and I am working on a list of other projects that I plan to have Mike work on for me. Thank you, Mike!

Mike was extremely professional. Showed up on the given date to provide quotes for work needing to be done. Also, between the time of the estimates and work performed, Mike kept in constant communication with me of when he had availability and what time he would start work. Not only was Mike professional, he had great pricing and a great personality. He put me at complete ease when I would ask a stupid question about repairs. His quality of work was also great! I am very happy with the work performed and I would highly recommend Mike to anyone who is looking for repairs to be done on their house! His professionalism and personality blew the other contractors that I had bidding out the water. You can not go wrong with RetroFix.

We wanted to have custom child gates made to match our current banister and have it appear the entire house was not take over by children's safety equipment. Mike from the start came and measured, asked questions, made suggestions and was very detail oriented. He was pleasant and very easy to work and communicate with. He built a matching two door gate at the bottom of our stairs and the top of the staircase that was exactly what we wanted. I wanted the child gates to appear nice from the front door and he exceeded my expectations! The staining of the top of the rail to the detail. He is very good with wood working and custom jobs. His price was beyond fair and in some respects I felt like he didn't charge enough for the amazing craftsmanship he did. I was so impressed with him that I had him come back the following week to make custom cat doors and make a door to our storage area under the stairs. He spent a lot of time making it just the way we wanted it and again made suggestions which I appreciated. When he was finished he always made sure to clean up after all the wood working and left the area so clean you could not tell he was working in the house. Very professional, polite and does excellent work. We will definitely be using him again. I will call him before anyone else.

Mike was great. He returned all calls very quickly. He worked well with my schedule, even coming on a Sunday. The work was done very professional and quickly. He is also friendly and even took the time to talk to my son about being a handyman and played with our dogs for a few mins

Mike arranged a time convenient for tenant to replace dishwasher. He removed the old dishwasher, switched out & installed new dishwasher, & hauled the old one away. The tenant was pleased & so was I.

I actually met Mike because he was working on a neighbor's house. I asked if he could fix rotted wood around a column in my craftsman style home. He replaced two boards and painted and, now, it looks as good as new. It really saved me a lot of headache in trying to do it myself. I felt the price of $60 bucks was fair, and he was very responsive and professional. Without question, I would use him again.

Mike came in pulled all our stuff out from under sink, found the problem immediately. Made a run to home depot. Replaced the pieces and cleaned up putting all the stuff back under sink. Told us to keep an eye on it to make sure it stopped the leak.. so far no leak. Very reasonable in price. Not sure exact price we paid but some of the total was for the part itself. Mike was professional and knowledgeable about our sink and plumbing in general. Would use him again for sure!

We can't say enough about Mike and his work. We have hired him many times over the past five years for a variety of jobs--from small jobs like installing shelving and ceiling fans to bigger jobs like designing, building, and installing bookshelves and benches in our kitchen/family room. The work is always well-done, and Mike's estimates are always competitive and fair. He is an excellent listener and a creative thinker--when we've asked him to design built-ins for us, he's raised good questions and provided us with many options so he can be sure we'll be happy with the final product. And he checks in along the way, making sure things are going as we expected. One of the most beautiful things he's ever done for us is a desk made of reclaimed wood and steel. It is a focal point of the room and receives so many compliments. We love that it is a one-of-a-kind piece--exactly what we wanted and couldn't find anywhere else. Aside from being talented and knowledgeable, Mike is punctual, respectful, and professional. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for an excellent handyman or custom furniture maker.

I have used Mike quite a few times over the past couple years for various odd jobs on two different rental homes. He has worked on a wide spectrum of issues, ranging from electrical and plumbing to carpentry and has done quality work each time - the tenants have started asking for him by name. The price is always in line with what I expect, and he usually gives several recommendations for alternative solutions that might cut costs without sacrificing outcome. Most importantly though, he's responsive and prompt. Too many times in the past I was having to track down a handyman with several phone calls and would still end up with the occasional no-show. Mike takes it upon himself to get the tenants info so he can contact them himself and arrange a time to work. A day or two later, when I check in, the work is done and the tenant is satisfied. Very professional all around.

Mike was excellent. He was punctual and his prices are very reasonable. The quality of the work was excellent. I called him in a panic about a toilet that was leaking all over the bathroom floor. He called back immediately and was able to come over on short notice. I will definitely use RetroFix again.

Mike Nesbitt was punctual, professional, and obviously skilled in the work I needed done on the house; I got two other quotes and his was the best price. It took him less than 3 hours. There was a slight adjustment I needed on the tub and he returned with no complaint the next day to fix it. I work with many people in the service industry and I would say that RetroFix stands out not in terms of overall quality of providing handyman services, but with its employees, Mr. Nesbitt being the one with whom I did business. I'd recommend them for anyone needing a handyman in the Atlanta area.

His prices are reasonable and he is available when tenants have any issues: HVAC, plumbing, etc. The quality of workmanship is high and he is detailed. He cleans up after completing a job. He also helps getting properties tenant ready after a tenant moves out.

Mike did an amazing job, always arrived on time with a good attitude and hammered out some amazing and quality work. He always kept things clean and tidy. The floors turned out beautifully. He gave us great recommendations on types of floors we could use that were affordable, they turned out better than I could have ever expected. The siding that he installed on the front of the house also turned out beautifully. Basically there were a lot of problems with the duplex and Mike fixed them all, and the end result helped us have no problems renting out the units. He is now forever on our speed dial!
